I have talked to some of Mafoa. we may be having some people come up from down south. I am aiming for a 15 person turn out if at all possible. There are also 3 maybes from Canada so far. I won't really hear anything from the Ohio folks until the official gathering thread is posted. Either way, in the beginning stages of planning like this, My goal is to have a date that all of the regulars / locals can work before going public. So in a nut shell Rich, if you can make it one weekend over another, it is important to me
August 20th anyone?
Edit to add, what do you guys thing of a barbecue? Everyone pitch in a little something?

ok, so Ijust talked to the fam, and since we usually go out to dinner later in the evening anyway, I should be good to go for the 27th. As a matter of fact my wife's exact words were "I can't think of a better way for you to spend your Birthday". Have I mentioned how much I love my wife!!
I'm just about out of wine. This is 22 lbs of raspberries and 4 lbs of strawberries that just went into a new 5 gallon batch. They sure did take up a lot of space in the freezer.
So there seems to be a bit of buzz about august 27th from newer members. Would you guys who have not yet posted over there yet chime in at the event page? It is always more welcoming when you know there will be a lot of people there. Thanks!
Forgot to post this when we got back Tuesday. We spent 5 days camping at Letchworth State Park last friday through this Tuesday. Well on Saturday we headed over to the Mt. Morris Dam to go to the visitor center and take the dam tour (best dam tour I ever took - pun intended), and wile driving down the road to the visitor center and passing one of the pull off/parking areas I spotted a silver notchie. Not sure what year, and I didn't get a picture as I was driving at the time, but I spotted it right away, and commented on it... My wife didn't get nearly as excited as I did
Looks like we should have a few extra guests this time. Jason, one of the other local CNYers will be there as well. I am guessing around 12 if a few people bail. Worst case scenario 10 and best most likely 15 people. Either way, it will be a great turn out for a non show gathering. It would seem that Buffalo is the NYS Fiero destination aside from the Watkins Glen event and growing. I'm pretty excited!
At any rate, do any of you fellas know if there are any grills at the park? I was thinking something like a dish to pass kind of thing. If everything brings something, like hot dogs, burgers, chips, drinks, etc. You get the picture.

Hey guys! It's starting to get late in the season for Fieros!!
I did find a buyer for my t-top. Beautiful car, but it wasn't working for me! So for the first time since 1997 I am without Fiero. I have not seen too much enticing for sale so far, so I will likely spend the winter Fiero free. Nice thing about that is I have garage space for the winter! May see what is available and at what cost come spring, depending on my economic situation. (My father may decide to sell his 85 SE V6 too, which I may take from him if he does).
In the meantime, I do have two things I thought someone local might be interested in, and that I do not really want to try and ship. One is a notchback decklid. It is off an 87, was orignally maroon but was painted yellow (not the factory color). There was nothing ever attached (spoiler or luggage rack). So no holes.
The other thing is a Fierostore replacement trunk carpet. I had it in my 88 coupe for a year or two before the engine died. I kept it for my new t-top but never got it installed. It is a much heavier guage carpet than is factory. The color I got is a dark grey. Maybe a little dirty but it is in very good condition. It won't work in the 85 SE (or any non 88 V6) since it is for a car without the added engine cooling blower in the trunk. If any of our local NYers is interested, post back or PM me. I am not really looking for a huge profit on these. Just would like them to find a good home and save me the storage space.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again in the spring, and hopefully with another Fiero by then! I will get another one at some point, but will likely take my time and be picky too!
Well considering the warranty company just denied my claim on the 300, I need to find 7g somewhere. So odds are its gonna be a while.
Engine or Trans Josh? Might be something we can assist with out here.
Also, For those who would like to see pics from their cars in the MAFOA magazine from Last August, Hit up www.mafoa.com Club membership is $15 /year and will be good until next June. Membership comes with 2 Newsletter Magazines and other perks like discounts from sponsors and so on. Everyone got their car into the magazine but unfortunately Josh that was there. We were out getting food in your car when The pics were taken. If you want one of these, get in quickly as the 2012 spring edition will be getting shipped within a few days.
So I went to the Trash can to finish tinkering. This is what I came up with lol. She has come a long way since dubbed Joseph! ------------------ 87 SE LD M2 Coming Soon: 88 GT custom 95 Ford F-150 (Work Truck) www.NYFOC.com www.MAFOA.com MAFOA Newsletter Editor

Engine due to sludge and lack of lube.(or so the aftermarket warranty said) Spun some bearings I guess. I havent seen it in person. I still need to pay $800 just to get my broken car back from the dealer.
Hey guys, If anyone has John's phone number, please drop him a call and tell him to check his Email. My phone number is in it and I need to get in touch with him for some parts he may need. I am in Maryland atm with Fiero friends that have some things he is looking for. Thanks!
Dave, I just emailed you back with my number. Not sure there is much on that Fiero I would need, since right now my main interest is in a cradle. The 85 SE I am trying to get onto the road is cosmetically pretty good. Will eventually be looking for side markers, and notchie quarter windows with the "SE" in them. Interior in my SE is grey, so the tan doesn't help too much. Thanks for thinking of me!! Thats a nice motor to get your hands on!
Now that I am retired I find myself not looking forward to wrenching on cars anymore and these little cars need a lot of wrenching. I probably have not driven her a handful of time this year. It's time to let it go to someone who will enjoy it more. It doesn't cost much to sit so I'm in no hurry to sell. Any advice or suggestions on the ad or price? It's been a long time since I sold a car.
yes my advice is take the ad down. If you need wrenching help when that time comes you have plenty of willing hands that will help you. just my opinion.
