Picked it up from the paint shop. Sure, "pictures?" you all say, but it was after 5 pm, and I had to go to the local cruise night with it, and didn't get it back to the storage garage until late.
Pics as soon as it's light, and the weather improves. Promise.
I actually did this yesterday, but I stripped out the entire HVAC system.
More stuff will be coming out, too... all in the name of weight reduction. The Fiero is going to be a "track toy", so it doesn't need fru-fru stuff, anyway.
Myself, Pete Matos, FieroAndrew and RockyTop all got together for Breakfast this morning in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Then three of us went out to Cades Cove and drove the loop. Good times....
- Muffler to much to the back. Have to modify the trunk (hate that) - Most of the stainless hoses I made are too long - Bypass pully is rubbing agains the heater hose. Have to think about another route. - Stinless steel fuel hoses also have to be rerouted - Oil rad hoses to close to the manifold. Another route to redefind - Forgot about the right decklid hinges. Has to be modified - I also made the wire harness a bit long
Now I am thinking about putting the V6 back in for the summer. Fiero season is pretty short up here in nothern Canada

drove it 250 miles to drop it off for a 4.9 conversion. Yes I drove 8 hours today 500 miles in the pouring rain. Ride home sucked as it poured very hard in Northern Ohio.
On the bright side I met olejoedad and rode in his nice 4.9. My oldest son was lucky and got to ride in a LS3 fiero. His comment was that it was 5x faster than my current formula

Reconditioned the shift area of the center console, installed an unbroken aux gauge case, and took care of the rusty brackets all of our consoles hide!
Well, I didn't do anything to my Fiero today.... but apparently while I was in class he decided to make friends with a little black notchie I don't suppose anyone is going to claim that it was them?
spent more then i make in a day on a failed inspection. then when i went out to drive the car home it looked like they drove it through a field the shifter was messed up and when i looked under it of coarse they kinked the coolant tubes.
Did nothing on the fiero my car sits 200 miles north in my buddys 5 car garage along with his 86 Trans am and my other buddys 88 camaro. Going up to work on it next weekend.... How ever I did work on removing everything from its donor car a 99 grand prix gtp im using the motor, tranny, wire harness, ecm, all of the dash and some other odds and ends Man I hate wiring.
Removed and replaced the defrost/heater/vent servo motor, wasn't as bad as I thought it would be

started taking it apart to replace most of the bushings with poly urethane and replacing the ebrake cables. also ordered all the parts. i hate not being able to drive it but it should be so much better after its done.
After not having driven it for two weeks, I pulled the GT out of it's spot in in the garage and went to get dinner with it. May decide to drive it tonight too

Well Saturday I picked up one of my new Fiero's. It's an 86 GT, black and silver with gray interior. Took the wheels off of the other one I bought from the guy, an 85 GT, so I can get some tires on them to move it around.
Today I replaced a wire from the Alternator to the Battery and got it running without dieing after a few seconds. About to go for a longer drive and test her out.....
Got the 86GT out for some cleaning and noticed the oil pressure low on the gauge.....took the brand new 88 oil sender out and tested pressure with a manual gauge. Started it up and had 60 psi.....what a relief. (BTW... should it start with the oil pressure connector removed from the sender?) I guess I have a bad sender. It was a Standard Ignition part. Going to see about getting an AC Delco instead.
Checked the air conditioning output in the 88 Duke and noticed it wasn't cooling good enough. Hooked up the 134a recharge and got it cooler. Yep, it's changed over to 134a!
Finally got time to go get The Joel Project. It runs well but idles high. This weekend I will try to find the vacuum leak or/and replace sensors. We also Purple Powered the engine bay, air dried it, then did a good carb clean on the throttle body. I couldn't believe how black it was inside! Didn't fix the high idle..still at 2 grand but it runs well.

Well, as u see in my build thread I got around to puttin the high build primer on robo chop today, I need to sand it all down now and fix a few little things I missed but, its all verry minor stuff that will take less than 5 minuts to fix!
