Bled the fluid out of the clutch line.

Still does goofy things when it gets hot.

Looks like the slave cylinder is going to get installed next week.
Been sitting on the nightstand for a year,
might have to get to it after all.

Bought even more stuff for it. Right now it's at the paint shop, but I'll actually be able to enjoy it this summer!!!

Somewhere along the line, an old paper shop towel got inhaled into the HVAC system and lodged itself (pieces actually....it's gotta be 15 + years old) in the defroster opening. I gently picked out the remnants. Just when I thought I'd seen it all with these cars.....

Finely finish replacing the timing chain, timing gear and water pump. That wasn't a fun nor quick task. Also installed rodney dickmans idler pulley. Did I mention how much I hate china made parts? Bought an AC Delco water pump, made in china.... Installed it and 3 of the hole were so far out I couldn't get the bolts in. A second gasket and a could drill bits later I got it to fit. /rant

put a new selector cable in it from rodney dickman and man its so much better! the old cable was so shot i had to smack the shifter to get it to move side to side and 5th and reverse were next to impossible to get into. now it moves side to side effortlessly and i can actually get into reverse now without slowly letting the clutch out and grinding the crap out of it.

Burned a half of tank of gas out of the V8 Coupe this evening. I bought a 99 ZR2 Blazer yesterday and was headed for AZ for some pieces and parts. I was in the Blazer and as I was backing out of the driveway, I can swear that the Coupe looked like it was crying....lol. I pulled the Blazer back in the driveway, jumped in the Coupe and off we went. I never did get to AZ. I just cruised that Coupe around for a couple hours. Got a little wild with a few "Johnny Wannabe Fast" types. So far, the Coupe is undefeated! What a blast!

Replaced the fuel pump, (finally died after 27 years).

Very happy to be driving it again. (It's only been about a week without it.)

Drove it down filled up for $24, and just grinned.

Now I can move forward again, back to body prep, and new paint.

I cursed quite loudly at it several times this morning when it started, then stalled immediately, then repeated this behavior several times.

Shortly after that, it started but then ran on only one or two cylinders for a good thirty seconds before stalling.

I got out, wiggled all the connections under the decklid on the engine, got back in and it popped right off and I drove to work.

I fixed my rattling sunroof! It was also leaking a little at the latch. The rubber grommits were falling apart and the hooks were loose. I removed the hooks and latch, installed some new rubber resealed them with some rubber tape I found at work, and tightened 'em up real good. I drove it around and it doesn't rattle at all!

Yesterday, I took the center console off and re-glued the plastic surround to the frame (it was peeling off an pulling away from the shifter plate). Also, I sanded and painted the ash tray lids (they were all scratched up and looked shi**y).

And Wednesday, last week, I got some new tires! Just your average tires. But, the car rides 1000x better without those old warped and dry rotted things that were on it.

I'm praying for a bonus at the end of the week. My brakes will be done next! Then suspension!

Not today - but last night, I cleaned up the V8 Coupe and went down to a Saturday night Rod Run at the Wienerschnitzel. Blew all the sand out of the interior, gave her a spnge bath and had a great time.

I had a lot of folks looking at the Coupe - some very surprized looks when they would notice the V8! Jeff showed up with his 3800SC car and got a lot of attention too. We represented the Fiero Family well.

I love wall to wall tire!

went driving down by the Delaware river and passed one of those signs that tells you your speed and the speed limit was 25 but i passed it fast enough that it didnt tell me my speed instead it just flashed red and blue lights at the top of the sign. i think i might've gone passed that sign a little to fast so im just hoping it didnt take a picture of the license plate haha.

Took it to the movies to see Captain America. Loved the movie, btw. Got lots of looks as always, but damn my car needs a bath. Took a picture before we left, don't mind the oil that's from my girlfriend's Toyota.

Installed my decklid mirror kit and started to install the hood mirror kit but ran out of 3m tape. I'll finish it tomorrow. I have to install the MSD 6AL ignition box sometime this week too.
