Replaced the center console skeleton, put the interior back together, fixed the sunroof leak and cleaned up the interior of the Indy. Productive day.

applied some carbon fiber vinyl to my speedo, aux gauge, radio surround and shifter trim plates.

It looks so much better than these pics. some natural light may help.

Oh, yea, and I got my Rodney Dickman short shifter boot, and new 5 speed sticker on too. I also painted the ash try doors. Boy do those things hate to come off / go back on.

I changed the brakes pads, rotors and painted my calipers. I thought about buying powder coated calipers, but since I have no problems with these (yet), I'll spend that money on new carpet and a little surprise that I'll mention later.

One last drive, topped off the gas tank and parked it for the duration. Inside, all covered for a long winter's nap. Only to be disturbed if I decide to take something apart.

Last weekend I installed Fieroguru's 13" brake kit.
Have been driving the car pretty much everywhere that I don't need my truck, ever since.

Today, I had a hose barb finish chewing through a heater hose where it was recessed into the corner of the engine bay.
Thought it smelled a little funny (hot) when I parked it, but then thought that it must be my imagination.
It wasn't.
15 minutes later my wife arrived home and told me there was a big green puddle under the Fiero.

It was an easy fix. Just had other things that I needed to be doing.

I've attributed it to people getting in and out with wet shoes from either snow or rain. Also note that the drivers side rusts out faster and worse becasue whenever the car moves there is a driver that has gotten in and out.

Painted the Roof Black to match the hood vent and installed the modified Wing I had shortened ages ago... I wasn't sure if the roof thing would work out but it turned out alright.

Then drove the spit out of it all day sunday.

Drove my 88GT to work (70 mile round trip) and upon leaving got a little carried away making a right turn. I got her sideways and tipped slightly into the redline... prolly 6100-6200 rpm... nothing flew out the bottom end this time, but I'm not doing that again anytime soon!!! :P

installed power windows

not a fan of the switch's, so i'm going to have to change this, but I wanted to ensure that everything worked.

and power door locks

Now I just have to modify my lower door panels to cover up the window crank. I may hide it under a "fake" speaker grill, something F-body gen III style.

Cheers.

Not stuff that I did today but recently. Side scoops on the 88:

Sunbird turbo tachometer in my gauge cluster for the 88:

I also purchased fieroguru's 13" brake kit for the 88, front lowering springs and lowering ball joints for the 88 and everything to do a tune up on the 88. It's been too cold to install any of it, darn Michigan.

And for the Indy I got some good used upper frame rails to replace the rusty frame rails:

There is only two interior colors IMO, black and ones that should be black. Well mine when I purchased in came the second color so I need to change it.

Today? Hmm..

Drove by my friends shop where my wrecked fiero sits, and came to the realization that I will put as much money as I need to into getting the fi running again.
Not sure if this is a good or bad thing quite yet. :/

ALSO, I realized that:
My boyfriend did not know enough about cars
He couldn't stand me and my best friend always talking about cars and what we need to modify before car show season
Had to have his girlfriend change his oil
Does not know how to drive stick

After coming to these conclusions, It is completely obvious why I broke up with him. Hah hah.

And in unrelated news:
GOT THE SVX BACK!!!

That is all. :P

Changed the plugs and coil packs. Took her for a spin around the block and simply enjoyed the torque and the sound of the blower whining behind me.

I seriously need to detail her - as I am supposed to take a drive to Myrtle Beach this coming Saturday.

I started stripping the interior of the T-Top Formula I picked up last week....it's nasty and cigarette smoke infused. Still deciding whether to keep it gray or swap in a beechwood interior, but I have plenty of time to decide. In the meantime it all comes out to be deep cleaned....I hate the smell of cigarettes!

I also discovered the previous owner blocked off the EGR tube and I have an exhaust leak.

Well yesterday I added a ground cable to the engine and have decided that I need to check if it is making good contact since my battery needle still ticks with the blinkers. And replaced the broke seat back mechanism cover on the drivers side seat.

Leaving at 3 AM (1-24-12) for Detroit, about a 6 hour drive one-way, to pick up a pair of seats from AkursedX, that I will be re-upholstering with Mr Mikes Leather Seat Covers. I'm anxious to get these done, but knowing how slow I am and how little spare time I have, it will probably still be a few weeks before they're finished.

Tonight I started re-upholstering my seats with Mr Mikes leather seat covers. I started with the bottom pieces (seat) and got both of them finished. I probably won't have time to work on the backs until Sunday, I'll post a few pics when I get them done.

How does the windows work? I bought the same kit and just couldn't get the install right. Everyway I tried the arm on the motor was being torque too much.
