I finished installing new Kenwood 4 x 10 and 5 x 6 speakers in front and side respectively, and Rodney's subwoofer. The front speakers were the same model Kenwoods and showed no wear whatsoever, even after 12 years. The side speakers just needed to be updated for balance, but the subwoofer was another story. It was the stock unit with the typical erosion of the surround foam. Now I do have the "performance sound," at least for my tin ears. I now have the aforementioned replaced Kenwood 4 x 10s, the stock 4x10s and 5x6s, and a pair of Boss 5x6s. They are available for just shipping, if anyone is interested. bb
Uncovered her, Jacked her up, drained out her vital fluid, poured through some new extra stuff to flush out any remaining trash, changed out her filter, plugged her back up, and then filled her back up with some new Qstate to keep her purring. Took her out to play. She sure is sweet!
Set new precedence...Installed a new co-pilot system!
Cali's first Fiero ride!!
Took a quick run to the USPS then did the "loop" downtown. Cruised the beach, cruised town, cruised home. Cali makes a great co-pilot! If only you coulda seen how proud she was.
Now all I hear is, "Dad can you put my car seat back in your Fiero now?" To which I reply, "Ask Mommy if you can ride in her Fiero."
+ drove my new one around a little bit further then just around the block after new brake hoses...replaced the transister for the dash lights....took more parts out of my other fiero that i have to put back at a later date...oh and washed the trunk carpet
Put pads on the front, new bolt sleeves and rubber bushings on passenger side & lubed. Soaked the rack bolts with PB blaster. Cleaned the engine cover, probably the first time in a long time. Attacked some rust issues with Dupli Color Stop Rust, front and rear & trunk. Finally removed the 87 parking brake cable that was stuffed up in the wheel well housing. Now the housing is attached with ALL the bolts and fasteners.

Took the new clutch/brake pedal assembly apart, wire-brushed off the rust and reassembled. Also verified voltage through cruise control and starter interlock switches. Also cleaned up the new (to me) manual shift assembly. Baby steps...
Yesterday: -Took a late night "Blackhawks victory lap" around the loop only for me to hit a bump and cause the driver headlamp motor I just bought to go totally limp. Got it back up for the drive back home, will be returning it after Indy. -Had the rear tires balanced after having the silver lip refinished the other week. -Had replacement exhaust tips installed. Still not straight, but they don't look like a Picasso work anymore.
Today: -Washed it. -Had lugs re-torqued -Installed replacement door striker bolts, which stopped a rattle and fixed my sluggish power locks. -Final detail and prep for Indy. Leaving tomorrow around 6am!
Tore down more of my front end and almost cried at the amount of sandblasting and powdercoating I need to do to make my OCD happy enough to put it back together. Time to order 100 parts from 15 different vendors
Waxed the car as it was to hot and to late to start a project on the car. Wow the color jumped out. I bet the car hasnt been waxed in handfull of years.

Last night I finished my wiring project. Now the cooling fan and pump for my w2a intercooler are both wired to their own relay with their own fuses. Today I'm considering getting my Indy out of storage so I can install the mountain of parts on it that I have collected.
jumped the trunk switch to get her open. Replaced the trunk lock to one I actually have keys for so I dont have to do this again. Failed at jump starting the car with a jump box.....Getting back on the road next saturday, so I need to get her moving.
Finally got my dash cleaned up and then got caught in the rain. And then it was on to making my template of the center console skeleton that I will be making a new one that comes in multiple pieces. This way it is easier to ship when I start selling them.
