Hey guys, been awhile since I've posted here! I left the Marines a few months ago and finally got home and I put LEDs in the dash and courtesy lights and I also upgraded the side markers with LEDs. I just installed a Bluetooth transmitter behind the radio and removed the antenna. I've been busy!
I just traded for a 1985 SE,with modifications to look like a GT,but when checking the vin,it's an SE. Anyway, it wouldn't start when i got it. It would spin, but no fire. Then when i got it home,it wouldn't spin???!!!. I did all the required testing.,but no go. I was thinking ignition switch, so i went to the back,at the battery compartment, cut back some of the "pink"wire, and touched it to the battery, using a jumper cable. BINGO!!! Fired right up. Here's the crazy part.........now it starts fine with the ignition switch. Crazy, huh? Any thoughts?

Recently: Removed old cracked up front header and replaced with cast stainless Tru Ram, replaced alternator with modified new alt, replaced alt lead wire with heavier gauge, customized and re routed coolant crossover pipe and hoses, ended up using two modified Mitsu Evo hoses, replaced leaking output shaft seal and tie rod boot. I took my 87 to the shop yesterday to recharge the AC.. It was recharged, but they found a slow leak in the compressor, so I'll take it back next month and get another compressor.
NoSaint have always loved your car, can’t wait to see the new progress. Please keep posting ! What other mods you have in store?
glad your still here!
im modding everything! new hood vent, rear vent, side skirts, side vents, interior, rear wing, tail lights, side mirrors, fender flares, exhaust tips... the usual stuff
Had to jump off the Ghost, in order to move it out of the garage, so that we could get to the trash that needed to go to the dump. Once I pulled it back in, I wired up a battery tender pigtail, and plugged that sucker in. We'll see if it charges and holds.
Unplugged the battery and put the car cover over the Fiero. Shut the garage. Won't be using the car for at least 1 month while the restrictions are in force for the Coronovirus! No cars circulating except for essentiel trips. And absolutly no car meets (or any other type of gathering) untill further notice here in France.
Un-winterized Petey II today. Dropped in new battery and turned over immediately. Short drive over to my mechanic to re-build the alternator. Mileage hit 25960 on the drive over.
Taken during a warmer day.

I recognize the Desoto so I think I now who you are. I was wondering if you still had the car. I think we did a trip years ago to 2 Seat Garage so that you could pick it up. Glad to see you are still enjoying it.
Last weekend got new shocks and struts that were badly needed and oil change followed with an alignment. 5k on the engine since the build and it runs great.
I finally got the front lowered about an inch and a half.
Here is what it was like before.
Edit: ok after looking again at the before and after pictures it looks more like 2 inches or more. ------------------ "America is all about speed, hot nasty bad-ass speed" - Eleanor Roosevelt
Got everything hooked up on the 3800 swap. Cleaned up the wiring. Made an exhaust. Loaded the tune in the computer. Once the new ignition module shows up it will be ready for its first drive!
Yesterday, I drove the 4.9 car (aka Cookie Monster) to its new home, south of Carrollton GA. Sorry. No pics. We've been moving, and are completely covered up with stuff to do.

???? It is a Minnesota car. The picture was taken at an employee picnic and car show.

Wow there is a DeSoto over here in GR that is the same color & I gave him a owners booklet that I saved from the 56 DeSoto that I drove as my first car. Hand me down from mom & dad. And I helped Pete I think his name is to get his red Formula from 2 Seat Garage. His Formula had about 29,000 miles on it. LOL

Discovering the nest of wiring that comes with a N* and Dakota Digital gauges. Did find the OBD1 connector and based on the PCM the engine is a 1994-95 and not a 96 as that is a OBD2 connector. Fun times!
I swapped out oil pans and installed a new gasket on my car so far I have a nice dry oil pan so hopefully this will take care of the oil hemorrhage it had.
I replaced the outer dew strips on both doors and reinforced the mirror adjuster on the driver's side with the plate from Rodney. Still need to clean the door and put her all back together but it's a start.
Put up another YouTube video on the wide body 3800 swap. Link to video!
Today I’m cleaning and organizing the shop and putting the interior back together on the wide body. I have an exhaust to finish, dew wipes to install and a new steering wheel. I have at least 3 weeks off of work so let’s get some stuff done!
Washed the wide body. Have the exhaust together, have to finish weld and heat wrap it still. I got the tach and temp gauges working. I worked on the file for the pcm and got rid of all the transmission codes then programmed the pcm. Relearned the crank position sensor now no ses light. Took it for a ride around the neighborhood, runs great. Hopefully tonight I can finish weld and wrap the exhaust. Still have to wrap the wiring harness too. It’s about 95% complete!

Installed new hinge pins and bushings on the drivers door and readjusted the striker. Door shuts like a dream now. Also looking at the Fiero store exhaust systems thinking about getting one.
Finally pulled the non-functioning radio out of my '87 GT, pleased to find that the only things wrong were detached antenna, poor connection on right speaker wires. Installed new speakers, sounds good for a stone age radio.
