Took out the interior panels behind the seats to clean the windows real good with some 409 and a razor blade so the guy tinting the rear window tomorrow doesn't have to do much cleaning work.
I was puting the rear brakes back together after spending all morning cleaning and painting, and pulled the threads right out of the caliper hose bolt. GAHHH! And of course, it's the most expensive caliper to replace! D'OH!!! Now busy buying the rope to hang myself with. Goodbye cruel world!
Not today but over the past couple days ... Got the emissions testing done (good to go for another 2 years), and finally got around to installing the powder coated wiper arms I got from Electrathon. Rich
Repaired the rust by the trunk, zinc coated the wheel well, frame, and cradle then put a top coat on for extra protection. Fixed the holes in the deck lid where the luggage rack would be. A luggage rack on a gt, thats like a child seat in a corvette, just wrong.
I posted on this on one of the earlier pages. Maybe on page 6...Don`t really know and have`nt checked. But seeing this reminded me to go out and PEE on it again. I`m so Effin tired of fixin` this POC all the time. So now you know. Thanks for asking!
I haven't bought my "stimulus" Formula yet, but I picked up my IMSA wrap-around spoiler from the airport today. It didn't fit in the Audi trunk, so we drove back home with it sticking 18" out the back, held on with 2 bungie straps, all bouncing up and down all the way home, lol!
...Should be getting the Formula Friday!

So I put the Fiero GT logo decal I got from paul at Fierosails on my EGR cover, I installed the Y-pipe heat shield I got off of ebay (my car has been missing one since I got it), and Got to see a pic of the Spare tire cover I ordered from Tom in his mall thread.

Be sure your cap is well installed , i lost mine a couple months ago due to this ( has to snap )
This last week I had the centres of my Simmons rims honed to fit - procured off Ebay for an absolute steal. The seller said they were off a WRX or Celica - they were Celica I needed a tiny bit removed from the centre bore. Subaru is a perfect bolt and centre match, but different offset.
most likley because of this broken mount, in conjunction with a completley torn in half rear tranny bracket
so i spray'd some degreaser all over everything under there and took the power washer in there to clean up all of the syncromesh that puked all over under there and cleaned up some road grime aswell
hopfully a tranny shows up and gets all put back together in the next week or so
Broke off my drivers side inside door handle. It broke inside the door, when you take the handle trim off you can see the part of the handle that connects to the rest of the mechanism broke off from the cast metal handle. The handle is still hinged and everything it just doesn't actuate anything. I'm going on vacation tomorrow so I have a project for myself when I get back. So if anyone has a used handle PM me today and maybe we can strike a deal when I get back in 10 days.
*In the Past Week* -Car Wash on Sunday -Replaced driver side tail light turn signal Monday, and accidentally shattered the old one in my hand while trying to get it out -Threw $44 worth of gas in her Friday, came dead close to running out of gas before I got to the station (went to cheapest Marathon in area) -Car show on Friday -New wiper blades Saturday
Sometime next week she goes in to have a front wheel bearing checked.

I took my 86 on the interstate for 80+ and holding speeds for the first time... I discovered that I need to sawp to a 120 speedometer because it buries the 85....
Dropped the subframe today. That is the last time the 86 subframe will be in the car. Next time that car has a subframe, it will be an 88 subframe holding a 3800SC2 and a 6 speed. Hmmm....almost makes me feel like I am making progress on this.
exhaustmanifold was cracked and it wasnt "flat" so we welded the cracks and mounted it to a "manifold correction bar" then we got it flat again with some heat and brute force
Washed and waxed her for 4 hours till she was spotless, had a shower and got ready to go cruising only to find out that the ebrake seized on me (see other thread ). Now she's sitting in my garage, perfectly waxed... on jackstands Bit of a disappointment lol, on a good note, she will still be just as clean when i do get the brakes fixe :P

I just could`nt resist...It was raining so I did it again. Theres a strange feeling of satisfaction for some reason. I don`t know why.
-Tore apart most of the interior -installed the new throttle cable (what a PITA job) -sanded down the accelerator pedal with 120 grit, repainted with black primer, reinstalled, feels much better already, hopefully cures stuck at WOT problem -took off all the old butt connectors from the stereo harnesses, and soldered and heat-shrinked them -started re-routing the power wire for the auto-dimming comp/temp mirror -regluing the warped radio surround console (I love gorilla glue) -sanded down and painted black the rusty metal panel behind the cener AC vents -Went through my spare parts boxes and got rid of a bunch of junk parts (nothing anybody would have wanted)
I found TDC on cylinder #1. It finally started and runs like crap.
