Placed an order locally for a custom built performance engine, and placed an order for a custom built Fuel Injection Setup.

Will post more details when everything is installed and running. You can bet it's going to be exciting !!!

Took out the interior panels behind the seats to clean the windows real good with some 409 and a razor blade so the guy tinting the rear window tomorrow doesn't have to do much cleaning work.

And tightened my alternator, it was squeakin'.

I was puting the rear brakes back together after spending all morning cleaning and painting, and pulled the threads right out of the caliper hose bolt. GAHHH! And of course, it's the most expensive caliper to replace! D'OH!!! Now busy buying the rope to hang myself with. Goodbye cruel world!

Repaired the rust by the trunk, zinc coated the wheel well, frame, and cradle then put a top coat on for extra protection. Fixed the holes in the deck lid where the luggage rack would be. A luggage rack on a gt, thats like a child seat in a corvette, just wrong.

I haven't bought my "stimulus" Formula yet, but I picked up my IMSA wrap-around spoiler from the airport today. It didn't fit in the Audi trunk, so we drove back home with it sticking 18" out the back, held on with 2 bungie straps, all bouncing up and down all the way home, lol!

...Should be getting the Formula Friday!

This last week I had the centres of my Simmons rims honed to fit - procured off Ebay for an absolute steal.
The seller said they were off a WRX or Celica - they were Celica I needed a tiny bit removed from the centre bore. Subaru is a perfect bolt and centre match, but different offset.

and made page http://rixdesigns.com/fiero-brakes.php

Seems like there's something missing though... needs some thick black circles around the shiny new round thingy's where the wheels used to be.

well my fiero has been like this for a few weeks
This images is larger than 153600 bytes. Click to view.
because of this
This images is larger than 153600 bytes. Click to view.

most likley because of this broken mount, in conjunction with a completley torn in half rear tranny bracket
This images is larger than 153600 bytes. Click to view.

so i spray'd some degreaser all over everything under there and took the power washer in there to clean up all of the syncromesh that puked all over under there
and cleaned up some road grime aswell

hopfully a tranny shows up and gets all put back together in the next week or so

Broke off my drivers side inside door handle. It broke inside the door, when you take the handle trim off you can see the part of the handle that connects to the rest of the mechanism broke off from the cast metal handle. The handle is still hinged and everything it just doesn't actuate anything. I'm going on vacation tomorrow so I have a project for myself when I get back. So if anyone has a used handle PM me today and maybe we can strike a deal when I get back in 10 days.

Dropped the subframe today. That is the last time the 86 subframe will be in the car. Next time that car has a subframe, it will be an 88 subframe holding a 3800SC2 and a 6 speed. Hmmm....almost makes me feel like I am making progress on this.

-Tore apart most of the interior
-installed the new throttle cable (what a PITA job)
-sanded down the accelerator pedal with 120 grit, repainted with black primer, reinstalled, feels much better already, hopefully cures stuck at WOT problem
-took off all the old butt connectors from the stereo harnesses, and soldered and heat-shrinked them
-started re-routing the power wire for the auto-dimming comp/temp mirror
-regluing the warped radio surround console (I love gorilla glue)
-sanded down and painted black the rusty metal panel behind the cener AC vents
-Went through my spare parts boxes and got rid of a bunch of junk parts (nothing anybody would have wanted)

My fingers hurt.

Front

rear

Also mounted the power pulley kit. Feels like I got a little better response.

Will be larger rotors from TransAm later. But I got these in the meantime. There is a big Fiero meet in Sweden on saturday.
