installed my 88-91 CRX CAI with a 3" to 3.5" coupler reducer to fit onto the vortec 4300 throttle body on my 3500 LX9 swap last night and put in my new $60 AC Delco DIS ICM (AC Delco part # D1998A). also put a cover under the air filter to keep it from sucking up debres and water.
Installed rodney's new aluminum slave cylinder only to find out I no longer know anyone in my hometown and I don't have teflon tape/paste to make my vacuum bleeder work. FML! I might actually have to get off of my rear and go into town just for some teflon paste.
Ran wires for battery relocation. Took a risk grounding to the frame instead of the block, but it worked ok. Just need to sort out the high idle issue.

Power steering? Nice mod, worthy of applause.

Yesterday my 87 Gt decided to overheat during an after show cruise. I have all new accessories, and just recently flushed and filled the coolant system. This is the first time that she has needed a flatbed home. I am actually so pissed, that I am just going to leave her in the garage for a few days before I take a crack at it. A couple of the forum members have pushed me in the direction of some possible issues. So, until then, she sits.
Today a nice sized group of us tore apart AaronKoch's parts car. Pulled a ton of stuff off of what I think was an 85 notchie 6cyl. I am sure he is going to post up parts off of it. A really rust free car. Just no title, and he has an 88 that he is putting together. So, if anyone is in need of parts, keep an eye on the Mall. He should be posting up in a day or two.
I changed the oil, air filter and fuel filter this weekend along with replacing the leaking valve cover gasket. Now I've found that the idler pulley is leaking coolant. I'll be fixing that this week.
gave it a bath just before the sun went down. more work diagnosing my headlamp's not goinbg down issue and going from there on that, AND taking pics of my rad fan relay to post in my thread in tech about it running 24/7 and goin from there
Listed it for sale, ..., 1986 GT, w/30k miles on it. Wife says she's gonna go thru with it this time, if it sells for what she wants for it. If she doesn't get her way, ..., I guess it may not sell, ..., again, ...
Oh well, 6 vehicles is just too many. Time to downsize the inventory!
Lets see, did some final fiberglass work on the T-Top headliner and applied a thin backing so the fiberglass doesn't rub against the metal "H"- frame and make noise. Tomorrow I'll apply the headliner material and get the headliner installed.
I also finished installing the Pursuit alarm system and tested it. Works great. The only thing that bothers me about it is the dang thing automatically re-arms itself after about 30 seconds if I don't turn on the key in the ignition when you close the door, trunk or hood. I guess that can be a good thing.
Appling new "carpet" material to the bottom of the interior door panels to match the black carpet. Hair dryer wasn't hot enough and my wifes embossing gun was too hot to melt the glue to pull the old stuff off. Hard finding that happy medium with the embossing gun. Finished one panel tonight and I'll do the other tomorrow.
------------------ 87 Fiero GT Yellow / Grey Interior T-Top, 11.26" Cross Drilled brakes, Lowered 2" Whaletail, Mecham Scoops, ZR2 Scoop HHP Custom Sway Bars T/A Fender Vents, Mr. Mikes, Much Much More
Painted the gas filler door and cup. Experimenting with painting spare headlight doors I painted a week ago, sanding/polishing, and trying different compounds and waxes. They look 100 times better than the old ones.
Finished 2 sets of V6 exhaust logs for some fellow PFF members. Sand blasted, welded and ported them, Will give them a nice heat treated VHT ceramic coating tomorrow and ship them off.
Edit to add: I forgot all about this and did not know that I had pics but last weekend, My son and I installed a new stereo system in the 88 Formula. I got all the components from Amazon. Got a 50w per channel JVC deck, 4X10 Pyle 3 way 300 watt front speakers, 4X6 Pyle 3 way 250 watt pillar speakers and a Boss 8" 600 watt sub/amp combo. What a difference! The Pyle speakers fit perfectly in the stock locations and the Boss 8" 600 watt sub/amp fits perfect behind the passenger seat - only lost about 2" of adjustment on the passenger seat. Once the sub was dialed in, the sound is incredible.
Pile of new stuff!
Out with the stock stuff!
Putting it back together!

grkboy can you send me pictures of your console? I built a jig that works pretty well for the shift surround and I might be able to build one for a console. The Goop worked great for me.
I dropped the chin spoiler from the 88 so that the cracks and chips can be fixed and it can be repainted. When I installed it in early 06, I had the hood and aero nose off. The spoiler was attached to the nose prior to installation on the car. I'm hoping that the ten mounting bolts can be easily inserted in the chin spoiler for reinstallation while lying on my back.
Chin spoilers look nice, but with them so low to the ground easily damaged. It was only on two months before its first big chip.

checked with the garage when they were going to get my alternator and bracket to the machine shop to drill out the snapped bolt
swore and used most of a can of WD40 trying to get the centre cap off my crappy rims to change the rear left strut. To no avail. Will try again in the morning.
It's about time! I have seen your posts for months wanting someone to make a diffuser and I always wondered why you haven't made your own? Your work has always looked terrific! Definitely got skills
