Installed a tri-turbo V6 351 windsor rotary with dual speed 5 inch tranny with automatic overglide and various-slip differential. Tomorrow comes the quad tip struts with live linkage which will be adjustable with knob next to the radio. Then when the weekend rolls around I'm drilling holes in the engine valves to increase backpressure. Should get me at least 5hp and WAYYYY better oil/coolant mixture flow.
I spent the afternoon troubleshooting my radiator cooling fan. Turned out it was a bad fan relay. Made a trip to O'Reilly's, picked up a new relay, and all is well. Then, I started to tackle my leaky radiator problem. In the midst of trying to figure out, where, exactly, the leak was coming from, I found out it was coming from the coolant overflow tank, and not the radiator. So now, I'm searching for a new overflow tank.
(edit for update) It's the next day, and I'm sitting here, waiting for the epoxy to dry on the repair on the overflow tank. I've also found a new tank at the Fiero Store, and it's on its way to me. Joy!

I got a set of hubs ground down so I can start rebuilding the front end after the wreck I had. Plus I picked up the fender and rocker panel from the body shop, and set them in place to see how well they match up. Perfectly!
I took mine to a car show today. It was largely ignored since it wasn't a streetrod or a hippy-eara muscle car. I don't care.
ive only taken mine to 1 car show and it was mostly ignored. the few people that stopped and looked and told me stories about how they used to have one or how much they like fieros made it worth going though.
Stripping down the interior in prep for a hardtop-to-sunroof swap. It gives me an excuse to address some other interior-related issues, like hooking up an auto-dimming mirror.
today i learned what its like to be shocked by the ignition system and then i washed it. the clutch feels like it needs to be bled again so ill probably do that today too.
Not today, but last night I put new properly gapped spark plugs(When I took the old ones out, they didn't look bad, but I gapped them anyway and they were .043 Catalyst info sticker recommends .060), new plug wires(old ones had started to disintegrate at the spark plug boot, and one literally fell apart in my hand when I pulled it off the plug), new valve cover gasket(P/O used red RTV instead of a real gasket and had ran it before it cured and blew out the gasket on the front of the engine and it leaked like a sieve.), put a new EGR gasket on as a result of removing the EGR valve to get the valve cover off and replaced the air filter(the old one looked like it had been soaked in oil.. )
Started my lambo door hinge install, and as usual i have no idea wtf gm's engineers were thinking with hinge bolt placement. Once that's done i can continue on my stereo upgrade by running all new cable and setting up my amps and xovers. I can hopefully get it all back together for the dutch classic and hopefully with the new interior pieces and custom console done.
Spent the day in a home made paint booth with my dad learning how to paint and testing the paint colors I want to have on the fiero when I finish with the 3.4 swap and get it back on the road. Any opinions?

Looks good I like the 87-88 coupe/formula front fascia with the fastback clip.
I've never really liked the look of the fastback, but with that front fascia it looks good, and the spoiler is just subtle enough to look good too. Do you have any straight on side shots of that spoiler?
Jim, a buddy of mine lives near you and kept telling me about "this guy has a fiero for sale near my house". I guess it was you. Are you out of Fieros for good?

Thanks, its an 88 coupe with a 87 GT clip. I think the spoiler adds just enough to the rear that was missing. A stock GT spoiler would have been too much. It was either this or a 82-85 Trans Am wing.
Only other pic I have is this one. I still need to "glue" the spoiler, its just bolted on now.

I installed a Used parking brake assembly in and took the nearly new assembly from Fiero Store out. I sanded down the rusty lever assembly to bare metal and painted it. It works! The new assembly I purchased from the Fiero Store had so much slop in it you would think it was an old used unit. Note to Fiero Store your quality control is LACKING!
Started driving my 84 again, and had forgotten how crappy it was running. Anyway, today I was going to re-mount the rear-view mirror, and I couldn't get the little metal piece out of the mirror stem thing. I basically mangled it, and THEN I found the allen screw. Man, I feel like a mechanical dufus sometimes. So then I tried to glue it up, following the directions on the glue package, but the metal piece was no longer smooth and wouldn't stick. I mangled it too much. Do the parts stores sell those? Is it a standard part for most cars?
Put gas in my Formula! Started the V8 Coupe and let her run for a bit. Started the "short bus" and let her run for a bit. Thought about working on Jeff's 3800 SC but ended up talking to my boss onthe phone for about 2 hours!

You never made it out for a meeting???
Rob
I don't know if I was the one close to your buddy, but yes I did sell my fiero. Not out of Fieros for good, but it will be awhile. I've got 3 kids in braces and then comes college. After the twerps are gone I'll consider getting another. As for making it to the Fiero meeting, I never could because the meetings were always on Saturdays. I work retail, and am hardly ever off on a Saturday, so I was never available to go. I did want to though.
Jim
BTW, my wife likes your car, and she doesn't give compliments on Fieros much. Maybe I can buy your car 10 years from now.
