If you would have shown me those rims by themselves, I would have said "Blech!" However, in the grand scheme of the complete car, that is gorgeous! Great looking car, and a great example of how to follow through on a vision.
I don't know if I was the one close to your buddy, but yes I did sell my fiero. Not out of Fieros for good, but it will be awhile. I've got 3 kids in braces and then comes college. After the twerps are gone I'll consider getting another. As for making it to the Fiero meeting, I never could because the meetings were always on Saturdays. I work retail, and am hardly ever off on a Saturday, so I was never available to go. I did want to though.
Jim
BTW, my wife likes your car, and she doesn't give compliments on Fieros much. Maybe I can buy your car 10 years from now.
Tell her thanks. If you can get out to "jenroes" on Independance we are up there on Sat pm, (most days)

Thanks! I wasn't sure if I'd like them or not, but they turned out to match up well.
As for what I did to my Fiero today, I moved it so it didn't get run over when I was being crazy in the driveway. (If ya look close, its there in front of the Jeep.)
Today, I transferred the title and got tags for my new baby. I just need to have it inspected, but I have 10 days to do that. At least now, I can drive it legally!! I gave it a bath tonight and put my 1st Annual Tyler Shipman Memorial Car Show nose badge on. The yellow looks really nice against that blue color. Hulki (my hubby) is starting to show/explain parts f the engine to me, so I can start doing things on my own. I think he is really excited that I got a fiero of my own, because he seems to enjoy helping me with my car more than he is working on his own right now. I have a lot of things I'm excited to do to the car!! Will keep you updated as I go.
A little bit late posting, but I recently sent my red coupe to a new home. The new owner is not currently registered but is friends with several people here. I hope he joins the madness.
Still have the gray fastback. Trying to decide what's next for that one.
------------------ Raydar 88 4.9 Formula IMSA Fasback..........................88 3.4 coupe - going...going... gone to a new home.
I got my new personalized plates today... of course, I don't have a front licence plate holder, so I had to take... 'other measures'.
And the rear ones of course are too wide since the NZ government sees it fit to do localised sizing and european wide sizing but nothing that suits american cars...
I like it! Perfectly appropriate for a car that belongs to an avid gamer and IT tech
Discovered that I did actually have room above my intercooler for an oil filter so I removed the relocation kit that was leaking all over the place. Gave her 30 dollars worth of Castrol EDGE as usual and reinstalled the stock filter. No oil puddle for me! Woot.
For Labor Day weekend, I installed a new Ignition Control Module. No more code 42 at this time. I also just washed it and cleaned the interior. Pretty filthy. Cleaned and conditioned all the leather, did the windows. Man, this car would look great if I could just get it painted. Thinking about doing some buffing with rubbing compound to smooth out my blistered clearcoat.
Spent the day reconditioning my stock lace wheels....a PITA job but well worth it! It's too dark now for decent pics. Also, swapped out my old loose steering column for a TIGHT tilt one. I'm gonna have to learn how to rebuild these things.

moved it from under the cover in the back yard to a shelter for winter in the front. cant afford to fix it needs a rebuild, or swap.( wife took the money i had saved from selling my truck to fix it with.
Five miles into my 10-mile drive to work, I was coming up to a red light, when the air out of the dash was suddenly no longer cold. A few seconds later, I had to stop for the light, and the engine died. Turned the key, and no noise, no nothing.

------------------ MY COUPE!!!!!(THE BEAST)(666th MADE)
Finished my new sunroof headliner in black faux leather last night and got it installed today. I'll spend some of what little free time I have today doing final detailing before leaving for Fierorama tomorrow!
After three days of driving to Fierorama, I took my 87 to the Firestone shop acrcoss the street from the host hotel to get the front wheels rebalanced. At 68 the car shakes a lot. Once I get back to Florida, I'll need some rear tires as the tread is looking thin.
I change my mind about waiting until Florida for the tires ang bought a pair on Saturday.

Just got in my new box and speaker for the 87 gt, The new t-top 86 fix the dash light and trying to see wht temp isn't working and body know where the ground is.
Got the exhaust system screwed back on. (Love the sound of that Allante gear reduction starter.) Added an auxiliary tranny cooler.
Drove the car on a short truck shopping expedition. Discovered that the A/C works much better when the right side window isn't cracked open by an inch.
Noticed the distinct tick, tick, tick sound of an exhaust leak when I was driving her a couple of weeks ago. Tracked it down to a leaky EGR valve (SC3800). changed it out and took her for a spin. Leak fixed, grin still there every time I drive her.
Tonight Todd, (LAMBO) Helped me install a new fuel pump, strainer, and fuel filter. I couldn't have done it without him. I don't know if you know him but he is an awesome guy. I wish I could give him another plus. Somebody please do it for me.
