As previously mentioned, this car had been parked for about 15 years. Today, I removed the spark plugs from # 4 and # 6 , they broke off inside the cylinder head. I was totally expecting it and was prepared. Glad to get it out of the way. It still has less than 60,000 miles on this drivetrain.

That was a 5/16" hardened bolt remover, Lisle is the manufacturer, I had to give a few "good" taps on the end of the extension to drive it in, but if anyone ever has the same problem it worked excellent, I probably wouldn't remove the head if I ever do it again to another Fiero. The electrodes were pretty good considering they were probably the original plugs.

The Formula had just a portion of one tuner lug nut broken inside the recessed portion of the right rear wheel, unfortunately I had to drill it out with a Cobalt drill bit, there was nothing to grip onto and I wanted to save the 17 " Enkei wheels with nearly new rubber. I did minimal cosmetic damage to the wheel, I was off a just a hair when I drillied all the way to the hub, I smoothed some of the teeth that grip the wheel stud, need to change it out, won't be able to press a new one in. I started the 12" C4 Corvette brake swap while I had that wheel off, rebuilt loaded calipers from calipersonline.com I also chose a name for this one, "The Cookie Monster" because one of the previous owners was from large cookie manufacturer, Voortman Cookies.

Not doing much work on the cars because it's winter but just to update. I haven't found anyone using this pump on here, Edelbrock 255lph fuel pump, not sure why ? link to the pump http://www.jegs.com/i/Edelbrock/350/17933/10002/-1 It's an upgraded direct replacement for an '88 Corvette. "made in the U.S.A. " or Vic wouldn't put his name on it. Too many chinese knock off's and I hate changing fuel pumps. I also ordered a bunch of other items, Champion 3 core rad, NRG hub adapter, 91-92 Allante' Service manual, another member on here is going to scan it and I will upload it onto here in a .pdf at a later time. also bought a wooden Momo " Indy " steering wheel, it'll look really nice with the custom tan leather seats. Bought another Spec Stage 2 from MadDanceSkills, ,

Term L goes to either the volt lamp on the dash (if not PCM controlled) or the PCM. If PCM controlled, the PCM will have an output for the volt light on the dash.
Term S is the voltage sensing wire. Should not be absolutely necessary to hook this wire up to anything. But you can improve charging system performance by hooking it up. If you want to hook it up, it needs to be connected to a 12v + constant power source - I recommend the power distriubtion block in the Fiero just below the C500 connector. Make sure you install a 3 to 7 amp inline fuse or small fusible link close to the power source (battery terminal, power distribution block, etc) to protect against fire should this wire get shorted to ground.
The other terminals are not needed UNLESS your PCM needs connected to them.

When I bought the Formula, it included a big lot of items, two extra engines. One '87 2.8 and the other a 3.4 PR on a stand, plus a ton of extra parts including 3.4 dohc pistons, Truleo intake, Fiero store sprint headers, ported and polished cylinder heads, just the bare castings. I also bought a neutral balance Fidanza aluminum flywheel to use on the '88 / 3.4 gathering a few more items, I have a H272 cam, bought valve springs, new lifters, Spec stage 2 from MadDanceSkillz plus few other items, ARP bolts etc. Looking for a nice set of connecting rods, possibly the ones from ARI. https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/113982.html
I never did get my double roller timing chain from David, first it went missing in shipment, some confusion about that, then he sent me another one but it was a OEM replacement, I could have gotten one of those down the street. I still need the Cloyes double roller timing chain. Overall I wasn't happy with the transaction, length of time and packing of my parts.

I helped RULOOKIN drop his cradle, everything went smooth and scored a pair of FS sprints. I have purchased a large number of items in last month or two from PFF user, John316 . my second order included another '88 cradle, new '88 knuckles, bearings, control links with poly, etc. He has been an excellent seller, and all items were in very nice condition. Thanks Jonathon.

I'm planning to do serious amount of work to cars beginning May 26th. '87 T-Top has a broken starter bolt broke off in the block, engine needs to come out to remove remaining portion of the broken bolt. sigh ! seems like I spend all my time on broken hardware but nearly every bolt has been replaced on the car now. I called Dan at SSBC about the Big Bite LeBaron rotors, they are slotted and cross drilled, really nice. # 23331AA3R , # 23331AA3L , also still need the # A 0463 master cylinder because of the increased volume of my calipers. hopefully get all of these items together before end of May early June. I also purchased a new pair of '88 front Koni red's from PFF mcgavin, they should be here any day.

Got the EBC front and rear pads from BigRob, smooth transaction, and new '88 koni front shocks from mcgavin, another great seller. positive feedback left for both.
I put my MSD / APS 160 amp alternator # 5110 back on today, same as an '88 CS alternator but bigger externally, it fits. I'm gonna chuck all my older style alternators.

SSBC Rotors and master arrived this morning, 2 pairs of the LeBaron rears BigBite vented, plated, slotted, and crossdrilled. Still need to get my hubs machined, but I already purchased the new longer wheels studs. Force 10 calipers front and rear and SSBC extreme duty pads.

here is the link to the thread in the mall. I contacted Dan at SSBC in Buffalo NY about this brake swap and he posted in the mall offering PFF members a discount, because I'm using the Force 10 Calipers front and rear, A181 on the front and the special order A182 with a parking brake on the rear, I had to upgrade my master because of the increased volume. https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum4/HTML/056896.html
I bought a set of tires for the Formula, BF Goodrich G-Force All Seasons, Fronts, 205-40-17 Rears 225-45-17. I didn't get as much done to the T-Top as I planned this summer, hurt my back loading an old engine onto my trailer, from the '86 T-Top that I cut up. When I finally got to work on the '87 T-Top, I found what caused the severe vibration last winter, during a severe cold snap, -30* my driver side CV joint seized up while I was out of town, I didn't know at the time what was causing it, drove it home and parked it, when I took it all apart this summer, I discovered the transmission brackets were sheared, replaced them with Rodney's thicker brackets, had to take the clutch and flywheel off, put the engine on a stand to drill out the broken starter bolt closest to the block. Then when I mated engine and tranny, put it all back together, everything all hooked up, realized the fork and throwout bearing had slipped, Good thing I realized before I started it, lost a few days to drop and seperate, but a lesson learned ! I ordered a new clutch master, slave, flex line repair kit from Rodney, rebuilt the entire line front to back, new sycromesh. It's running again, shifts really, really nice, fast engagement and the Spec clutch grabs good. Hopefully I don't wreck it before I get the brakes done, lol and I still need to take the Borla off the Automatic to go on the T-Top. I'm expecting a major tax refund for the last 4 years, should allow me to make a little more progress on a few things.
