Many modern cars today have plenty of options for those who want to modernize the Fiero exterior appearance. Some have used GM, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and even the 350Z mirrors. What types are you planning on using? What types of add-on have you used (heater, deflectors)? Please post them here.

Pontiac Solstice- sorry no pics at this time. Pulled them off to stengthen the mounts as one was broken off. May switch to the new Mitsubishi Eclipse mirrors, they are just a bit bigger and use the same mount set-up.

I know pontaickid is planning on using a set of Mitsu 3000GT/Dodge Stealth mirrors on his (or was anyway)

I've been looking into putting a set of heated power mirrors on my duke. Just haven't decided what donor to use...

Jscott might shead some light on the matter. He used the Corvette heaters on his (if I'm not mistaken).

Just so you know, the 3000gt/Stealth mirrors are the same as the Dodge Viper, not that that changes anything, but it is cool.

The Corvette 84 to 96 are a close match to the Fiero but not exact. I took the heated glass form the Vette and put them in the Fiero shells.

Later I put on the 96 Aurora which are heated, have power and memory capability.

I'm going with a simple yet nice look. Right now, they are the stock plastic but they will be filled, sanded, and cleaned up and painted when I am done.

They have blue tinted lenses

And of course, my tweak to them since I am doing a car with quick release door skins, they had to be quick release also. The quick release pins are hidden under the rubber boot.

Those mirrors are huge even on 3Ses. I think they'd be WAY too big on a Fiero.

Interested in this thread. I'm looking for different mirrors for my car as well.

Yes. The F430 are expensive (new), but I got this used F430 for $200 bucks. I'll mount this puppy once I get the Mad-Arch widebody kit.

I noticed that the mazda miata 90s and one of the newer honda coupes
look like they would work very well. or atleast be an easy option

You have to drill a new hole and the door panel needs to be re-glassed to have the mirror at the proper angle and to fill in the gap.

I don't know of any door mounted mirrors with dimming. I'm sure there must be some out there, including the late model Corvette, but I don't know for sure.

If it's a FL widebody I just hope they look better than the first ones, but they say the second time is a charm. It's a shame although hideous I hear they cost him a small fortune.

They stick out a bit ( id be afraid of them getting torn off the car ) but those look great..

What's with the quarter windows? ( if thats too OT, it can be moved elsewhere )

Hmm just noticed the door handles were shaved off too.

I'm trying to work with a company to get replacement glass for the Fiero with embedded LED turn signals (not the cheap stick on crap either). These would be just like the OEM stuff you see out now. Costs should be under $150/pr if all goes well, but they are resistant to tool up for an older vehicle.

Not sure I understand the quarter window question...from that angle in the first pic they are reflecting a lot of light, but they are ordinary tinted quarter windows.

It's all good. Ask away.
A mirrors of an Bonnavell 3880SC

Orville revisited: Orville removed several inches of the mirror's legs stands (stubby now).

Normally the mirror stands might be idea for a wide body, but in this case reducing the stands fits perfect on Orville's chopper.

Since the door skins are not fiberglass, but the IRM(?) material, what is used to close up the hole if piller-mounting them or modifying the hole in the skin? I am assuming the window clears the Bonneville mirror pictured above.

The door skins are reinforced reaction injection molded (RRIM) urethane, or in other words stiff rubber. You can fiberglass on to it and it will hold up to normal everyday wear and tear.

The mirrors are from a 96 Oldsmobile Aurora, and yes the window clears the mirror.

You know the dash and interior won't stay stock for long. I just needed to put a stock interior in it to make it presentable until I can have time to put in the custom interior. You would think with all the plug and play firebird harnesses I've built I would have kept one for myself...nope. But it's coming as soon as I get that HEI thing figured out
