If that's what they are, I'm glad that I am a desert rat!

Actually Colorado was nice and cool, and we had lots of fun on the trip. Check out the pictures!

well lets just say its crossed off "the list" and no flashbacks whatsoever, yet
had no bad dreams and see that Graduates, make adv. $82,000 a yearhummmmmm not bad,at all.....

i did get laid off today, tho..... so its for now but, i got a lead about another WMU job that goes for a year.
so, next week it may be for a whole year, finally. i knew i should have bought Katataks V8 Fiero........
being all that much richer, now.
only if i get the year long job next week would this be upsetting and allow the $$, i do have, to be spent on a high horsepower anything and fix the TransAm, as well.

what can i get for $3500, installed??? Mera X is acting funny after the 4000 miles i but on it.
all that driving, back and forth 120 miles a day to work, whoops. but it was the most fun i could have in a daliy commute.....ppppeewwwwwoooooo!!!!! Mera X sawAir Force one, too. heck....maybe Obama saw Mera X?? that be cool.
ohhhhh, yeah!! almost forgot.............
real close a 10,000 Mile (driven by me) Anniversery not too bad considering, adv of 14.87 miles a day for 8 months. well that is a lot i guess, daily for some weekends i dont go anywhere at all.....but some are OT weekends so i must report. yes sir....you bet.
i love double time. i do my best work, then

anyway what to do this first lay-off/vacation???? lets see..........
AutoX whats that????? this was on my windshield, yesterday........... GOT HELMET????

Quick Question about the MERA tail lights --- are they the same size as the 308 original ---- I've found a 308 set at a great price and just want to know if they are a "bolt up" and go ---- Thanks

Steve,

If I remember correctly, the original F308 had red and amber/clear center lenses on the rear. The stock Mera generally has solid red and amber lenses with separate backup lights. If you want two sets of backup lights or the F308 look, it may work out for you.

If you want to add the clear center (backup lights) and amber lenses to your vehicle, I have a set that was just removed from a Mera that is being reconverted to a standard configuration. We could potentially work out a trade or a sale if you are interested.

All you need is a saw. And guts, or be nuts? The up-side is, out there in the Great Litter Box, you will never need to put the top on.

Question: How can I get a look at that US Top Gear episode with the 308 kit car in it? (I don't have none of dat fancy cable suff'n, Ma used all da money in de pickle jar for a new truss).

I find this a little hard to believe, but I ran the numbers 3 times. On the Gunnison Colorado trip my Mera with the 3.4 5-speed averaged 31.3 mpg! That was with my wife and me in the car, trunk full of luggage and spares, A/C running 90% of the time, and climbs up to 11,000 ft (Crested Butte). We averaged 70 to 75 on the highway, and whatever I could get away with on those curvy mountain roads (without wifey smacking me).

I did run premium fuel on the trip and had just installed the Comp Cams 1.6 ratio steel roller rockers. The rockers made a noticeable difference in upper rpm performance and did not hurt the low speed torque of the engine. I am a happy camper.

Sorry DanMan, my poor old Mac won't open those files!!!! I guess I will have to wait for the comic book.

OK, so why are you looking at another car, when you have two in need of intensive care? Put some love'n into Mera X, and then set up your Mullet Mobile for running shine.

Rick if i remember correctly...its a true spoiler as in it spoils the air flow to create a "backdraft" to help in the extraction of the hot engine air, no?? sounds good

Dan,

What is it with you and red cars? Actually, that is a very nicely done GT. By the way, the car next to it is a Mera. If you look very closely you can see the cutout for the door handle in the black trim. Waynum PI does have a point. If you fix the T/A you could sell it pretty easily. An LT1 6- speed is still a strong running combination.

Interesting hypothesis on the black piece assisting engine cooling. I thought it might be a shade to keep the sun off the back of you head. Sometimes when the sun is just right a shade would be nice on our cars. I plan to have the windows tinted after I replace the dew wipes on mine.

OMG!!!!!! It's the John Deer Special!!!!!!!!

You can't get THAT, its not even close to red. Plus, if you park it next to Mera X it will look like a Christmas Tree.

Rick, are those fires anywhere near you?

I have to agree with Waynum on the Lotus. Nice car but the yellow wheels have to go.

The fires are about 500 miles away, pretty close in Texas standards In the past we have had fires near our home. It is located on the side of the mountain that bisects El Paso. Fortunately the fires were not during our windy season so they were slow burning. Plus, there is really not that much to burn. Advantage to living in a sandbox.
