Here in Canada it sucks that we need a front license plate. But you're right about making it simple. Just 2 "L" brackets. I tried putting it on the side under the blinker but it looked all wrong. The offset looks good on my Alfa Romeo though.

So is the hype still on for May 5th weekend somewhere in the North East? Forget the trip to Canada. How about a trip from Kalamazoo to Capac? Kalamazoo is central to Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, Canada, Michigan.

sample logo for the rally will have the city Kalamazoo & Capac added.

Trip will be just under 3 hours and can be broken up with a lunch in Lansing MI.
Some nice senic metro parks and photo opps. A=Kalamazoo & B=Capac

See how close you guys are to Kalamazoo MI.... the trip to Capac can be optional.
It's kind of on my way home back through Detroit, but for others it could be out of their way.

boy oh boy someones been busy NICE BANNER.....how'd you get the drawing of the Mera?? cool!
them tires are the "Rollin Fatties"
after my vacation in Arkham.....i am back!

oh i got something to add to this .....back in a few

maybe meet in Muskegon at the ferry terminal then to Pontiac and Capac.
i have the address to the GM Fiero Factory and a place in Pontiac less than a mile away, i want to check out as the 1st owner of Mera X.
the guy i bought from, bought from a dude (Marcell D) here in MI and i have an address for a Marcell D in Pontiac, MI
my hope is the neighbors are still around from 2006-07 era.......so, this could be a little Mera X history field trip.

OR....
if Wayne can make the Kazoo location...MY HOUSE!!!!!!!!
*gush* having 3+ Mera in my Driveway would be totally AWESOME!!!!!
How'd i get soooo lucky??? actually happens all the time
damn, get the IL (not IN Julian, haha) Fiero Club AND the MI Club and have a proper Fiero show. with us as the highlight, of course
i could fit 15 or so in my yard. side by side, also have a small city park just 1200 feet away too.....other overflow parking location
freak my nieghbors right the frick out, proper.....which is due

after a small show and shine at my house, blast back East thru AnnArbor, i got some eating challenges i want to tackle.
maybe spend the night in "HELL"....yes we have a Hell, MI.

http://yasr.com/events.htm
^^^^^ *EDIT* 1/17/12 now with that car show we could stay in Ypsilanti, MI

then from Hell/Ypsi. Sunday Jam to Pontiac-Capac.....hugs and kisses then home Sunday late afternoon.

me and "Mini Magnum" all balls blast back to Muskegon or Kalamazoo maybe a CannonBall to the IN border or something.....getyasum!!!

see if this shows....*EDIT* NOPE!!! dumb machines.....dumb things these machines

*EDITagain* now its just being stupid, got to find another map............the link is floch'ed.

I like the way you think Dan...... I been looking too. If we move the date, there is always Dells Run (3 hrs north of Chi-town). A bit far for me BUT still do-able. It is the 2n'd largest Fiero show in the mid-west. May 31 - June 3.

I don't know if we can let you guys into Wisconsin?
Maybe IF....you got a cheese hat

The Dells is a very interesting place, LOTS of things to do, tons of places to eat and a lot of natural beauty behind it all.
If you do decide to do it we could meet up along the way and convoy in.

why stop at one???? there are MI Fiero Club runs and show also all summer.

and Julian, as Chapter Members of the NIFE group we should attend a few of them, FireoRamma is over by Wayne to...
we could prolly book every weekend with Fiero related stuff to do......if so, i am Game
as long as i get to freshen up Mera X it will be a hoot.
i drive 100's of miles out of my way to the grocery store as is.

with the Trans Am fixed it will offer more variety for some Pontiac and beyond shows...........MetroBeach Criuse in Detroit.
Woodward cruise by Julian.....28th St cruise in GrandRapids in late summer.....all kind of places for you "RoadTrips" to end.

and speaking of my TransAm......
under 'er own power i got it backed out and turned around for the repair.
not sure what it is but its either a badly adjusted clutch doomahicky.....or a shot Transmission, but they put them in the Vipers and such so i dont think so.....soon!! very soon..........all 3 will be driveable

and how

You need to raise the exhaust tips on the T/A they never hung down that low from the factory. I should be an adjustment to the clamps holding the muffler. What is the problem with the transmission?

We're pretty much stuck in the house, too--intense sunshine, but will brave the elements to go to Barrett-Jackson this afternoon. Maybe it will cloud up a little to ease the pain of the sun in our eyes.

If if makes noise when you depress the clutch, your hydraulic throw out bearing is bad, and will need to be replaced. The transmission will need to come out. At the same time I would replace the clutch disc and pressure plate. If the flywheel has "hot spots" you should remove it, and have it resurfaced. If it is too thin you should replace it. Button it back up and you will have years of dependable service.

By the way, it's sunny and 72 degrees here.

THANKS RICK.....

i hope its not too bad but with having to drop the trans...that takes it out of my hands and in to a professionals.
damn.....that costs more.....well good news it that most people that have heard the Mera's Ticking believe its a lifter or something in the top end. coool.

so that is better than feared

as far as the Mera story goes....
i have found, that to have a copy of the sales brochure is handy when the words said, do not remove the look of disbelief and confusion off the guys faces car shows are the best cuz every body stops or says something under their breath and with good ears you can help fix that for them

knowledge is power!!!!get ya sum!!!

Dan, for some reason I cannot open you link to the engine noise. However if it is a lifter noise, it could be collapsed, or the rocker arm could have backed off. Worst case you might have bent a pushrod if you wound it too high. Can you isolate which bank the noise is on? If you are lucky and it's on the trunk side, it will be pretty easy to check out an fix. On the window side you will need to pull the upper and middle intake to make it easer to get to the rear valve cover. I had to do this when I installed my Comp Cam's 1.6 ratio steel roller rockers. With the right tools and patience, you can do this in a day.

Dan, It looks like an expensive winter for you my friend. I would wish you more snow, to make more $$$ BUT...that would mean I would get it first!

Say, what do you think is harder to get rid of, sand, or snow? Maybe the "Litter Box League " like that gritty feeling in their; teeth, hair, ears & crouch ?

Remember: Snow goes, sand blows

P.S. I can't get anything from your link either.

Hey, at least we don't have to put up with all that "yellow snow". The correct terminology isn't Litter Box League. It's Sandy Acres!

Dan, a bent pushrod would definitely make the engine run poorly. If you are lucky the rocker arm nut just backed off. Either way you need to remove that valve cover and take a look. If one of the rocker arms is off to the side, check the rocker nut, rocker arm and definitely the pushrod for any visible damage. You can roll the pushrod on flat surface to make sure it is not bent. Replace it if it is. If the rocker nut is loose, replace it with a new one. These are self locking nuts and will not hold if they are damaged. You will have had to really wing the motor to damage the rocker arm itself. After replacing the damaged parts, you will need to readjust the valve. If you get that far, we can help you with that too.

thanks again Rick.....just waiting for it to warm up. i do not want to open something on the engine then be forced to work in the cold, so in late March will be the time. i also am looking for someone who will help me at my house. not too thrilled with letting the Mera go to a strangers house quite yet

i got some money saved for jackstands and tools i need. (swivel knuckles and 1/4 extentions, ect) so it will come, but not soon.
unless its continues to be above normal, temp wise. we had a ThunderStorm last night......that was weird. nice loud one too.....woke right up out of bed type, BOOM!!

Dan, if you have Harbor Freight Tools up there, they will save you money on tools. They are not the greatest tools but for what you are doing they should be more than adequate.

ha "great minds"......
I even have a coupon for 2@3 ton Jack stands $14.99. which are on sale at 24.99 this month to boot
also, looking at 1/4 torque wrench with swivel knuckels and a impact gun with socket.
I already have gotten the compressor and was holding out for later in the year for the warmth.
i thought i should consider a large generator (we lost power up here alot last year) but so far its been good, so that money is allocated for tools now

next i cancel the cable TV and get another $70/month for other nick-nacks along the way and to free up some time
kinda looking forward to it and i now you all are, too.haaaaaa!!!!
