The EHPS is not a true "aftermarket" power steering system. There were some experimental units produced by GM and installed on various Fieros for short periods of time (although there are some indications that a few cars may still have had the EHPS installed on them when they left the factory). To the best of my knowledge somewhere around 15 EHPS units were made for the 1988 Fieros. I acquired one a year or two ago and am trying to have some hydraulic hoses replaced before attempting an install on one of the 88 Meras.

what about the PS on the Zimmer QuickSilver?
i guess i did not look at the missing pump part, also....ooooops
Can you get him to send me pictures of his installed/working EHPS as well as any info that he has on spare parts availability? That might really help me decide to complete the installation of this system.

I will bring the other one back with me when I travel down for my family's pack out. Will be leaving my 88GT and Hulki's 88GT in Florida for the time being. Wouldn't it be expensive for you to get down there?

Mera X's PO lives in Orlando sometimes......to see his other Mera would be cool. plus the Boss says i am good for May employment, so i can see a light and a open door also, i hear FL is nice this time of year to justify all other expence

1988 Pontiac Fiero Mera (Ferrari 308 replica). Offered for sale is my very rare MERA/FERRARI. Built by Corporate Concepts on a brand new 1988 Fiero Formula chassis as a dealer option from Pontiac (not a kit car). They were sued by Ferrari and had to cease production after making only 247 models. My car is loaded with the WS6 suspension, V6 mid -engine, 5-speed transmission, sunroof, A/C, cruise control, power windows, brakes, mirrors, and door locks, and EXTREMELY RARE electro-hydraulic power steering! It also has the factory premium sound system with subwoofer, custom leather seats, real wood dash, and custom exhaust system! It has new Ferrari Russo Corsa paint, Chromodora Ferrari wheels, and new Z rated Dunlop tires! The car cost over $30,000.00 new in 1988, and I have put in another $10,000.00 in upgrades. It runs and handles beautifully, with only 55,000 original miles. It has always been owned by collectors (2 previous owners) , no damage history, and it has always been garage kept! Have the Ferrari look, handling, and sound at a fraction of the cost for maintenance and insurance!! I also have all the original Mera badges and trim that the previous owner replaced with Ferrari emblems. Only $22,000.00, or best offer. Call for more information: (954) 608-7999.
While Mr Mike's seats are quality stuff, I'm not sure they are that much of an upgrade over the CC leather option. Further, a nice set of used MM covers just sold on the Mall for $250. "Eyes of the beholder" thing.

Thought I would throw this up here so we can keep the details after Craigslist drops it. I am curious about the " $10,000.00 in upgrades" comment.
1988 FERRARI / FIERO. - $22000 (HOLLYWOOD, FL.)
yeah i agree!! unless hes got a custom F-Car interior and a rebuilt engine and new(er) suspention......$10,000 in upgrades it too much to chew
well lets see, "custom seats" F-Car would be costly if they match the 308 stitch (not like mine and #6001 and #7004's with the reverse as well as the F-car paint i bet that cost a ton O'dough "real Wood dash" whats a real expensive wood?? and says it "sounds like the real thing....with a custom exhaust. like the Tiawan Fiero, maybe if its like that 180 deg. stuff you guys were talking about, then he may well have close to "$10,000" i dont know. i wanna hear it now
Ricks 355 looks nice, but its a girl car
whats with these $11-18,500 kits with ONLY the 2.8L?? if they have minium 3800 SC would they even get close to that, no?? it still blows me away that he aint far off at the "$30,000 New".
anybody gonna call him??? i would have but, alas.....its an '88 hahahaahahahaaahahaaa!!!d'oh!!

Not my 355, but that "girl car" sold for $15,555. The Mera with the power steering conversion is nice, but he will be very fortunate to get what he is asking. The only thing that makes it worth more, is because it's an 88!!!!

i know its not yours.....its your post, tho i hear you on the 1988, PS Mera. all 1988 Fieros are better, hands down.....theres just tooooo many of them
i bet he bought his own car or since it was reserved at 15,555 one bid took it. way toooooooo much $$ in my opinion without a larger V6 or V8 tooo each their own.....as always.
i got to see a bed about some mulch, laters!!

for the $15,555.00 you could likely own number one. only a certain few will know what i mean. i offered 15g for it about a yr ago. he prolly would come down to that area now.
I heard that the price fro Number one was 16K. Has he come down in price recently?

it was a yr ago when i talked to him quite lengthely... he said 17500. but make me an offer. i offered 15 cash. he declined. he didnt counter but neither did i. likely could have bought it for 16ish. as time moves on he may come down as he is not a fiero guy nor a mera guy. just happens to have the car. he talked about trading it for a chrysler of all things lol. im not in the market any longer as i have moved on to other avenues. but you could likely buy it nelson. happy motoring.

the 1988 Mera body package on a GT looses to the more common Formula thats sad......kinda by $2500 ouch the 1987 SE gets $6200 for the Mera only parts. thankfully, i am ONLY missing the sticker ACTUALLY.....seems a 1987 SE Mera beats the 1988 GT based Mera by $500......i told you the 1987's were better;D the '88 Formula beats me by $2000 tho, wow!! but thats for a lesser optioned model....my SE is well stocked. totally i think, minus T-TOPS
all the other Mera optioned add-ons, i got.....check! grills, louvered sail panels, stupid rusted to crap bumper bracket, the correct mirrors. taillights and i also got the OEM tail pipes......forgot about that. big ups to my boy, MERA7!!!!!!!!
really the only thing i need are OEM wheels. both steering and rolling.........wonder if that guy i FL is still holden??

Here is a question for you guys...how do you get the Ferarri nose badge off the MERAs? Just thought I would ask before I go digging around inside the nose of the car.
