ppl i got my mera from didnt know what a mera was. just advertised it as a wrecked kit car. thanks to this thread early on there were enought details from the sellers pics that i could tell it was a mera and bought it.
i dont know much about the 3.4 but as long as it has a 60 degree bellhousing it should bolt up, others can chime in here. was it rick who has a 3.4? anyhow sounds fun dan.

batousai666: loved the video. That guy gets it. I can not wait to get my car back on the road again. It's been way too long.
Bob
it is full of, how you say in Italian?? "........FIERO"
Etymology From Latin ferus [edit] Adjective fiero m (f fiera, m plural fieri, f plural fiere) 1.proud
and while still speaking the Italiano...........AMORE!!!
SNOWFLAKE!!!! gimmie gimmie!!! all them colors. arrrrhghhhh! prove to most likely be as hard to find as Cromodoras with the hub adaptors i already have these are a shoe-in to fit, no?
ok latest generalized updates for 7071. dont ask for pics plz everyone here knows i dont like them lol. anyhow, 7071 is on jack stands in the back of the shop for now as i work on other projects. but she will now have a L33 HO 5.3 aluminum v8 and f23 fy1 getrag with the good gear ratios. this has brought my investment $$$ down on the project into liveable realm on a car i lost interest in long ago. if i dont have tons of $$$ in it then it doesnt bother me for it to set for a couple years til i get back to it. the 5.3ho has some upgrades, ls2 cam springs, ls7 1.8 roller rockers, ls1 intake with 78mm tb and maf, stainless headers and dual stainless magnaflows, should be good for 380-390hp. the f23 is new and the fy1 2010 cobalt trans with the 3.61 gearing, i installed a new obx lsd in it. i still have the fcar 19" f430 wheels and michelin pilots, still have the fcar brembos, car has all new poly set, and new coilovers all around. rough in bodywork still, have not finished finessing it. interior is still fcar type from prior owner and very nice. car has all fcar badging from prior owner. i am deleting the rear backup light holes in the body, and putting my carello lights on it. putting real fcar side marker rount lights instead of fiero lights. redoing the front headlights lower in the front panel like a stinger. redoing the sail panel area into windows like a real gtb. my car now has a non sunroof skin like a gtb. sunroof got broke and roof tore up when car was flipped and skid down an embankment. again, i am not currently working on the car, but dont plan on ever letting her go either. i will finish her someday. and when i do she will look good in my eyes. not stock mera stuff here but oh well. and the best part is i have just under 5grand in her now. no more expensive ls2 or the ls3 and all associated high $$$ part that go with them. just a simple car now

perfect.....and when you find another hobby, Monster Boats or Monster Snowmoblies/tractors or something, you can sell me #7071
it is a1987 Mera afterall and with that said.....if you have any Mera parts left let me know. since you have an '87 i would help recycle them for us sail panels, black bumper shells, anything Mera you dont want. as far as the M-E-R-A letters, since they are cherished so, my plan is to find some in a junk yard or something. but if you feel you must....Mike you have my address it wont be long now...............i hope "on the road again!!"

Dan if your hub adapters convert from 5X100 to a standard GM A body wheel pattern the snowflake wheels will bolt on. I have a set of the 15X8 Snowflakes (wheels on the right side) that I run on my 1972 Trans Am from time to time. If you can find these wheels instead of the narrower 7 in. wheels (without the lip) they would fill the Mera wheel openings better if your adapters are not too thick. If they are over and inch thick, then you may only be able to fit the 7 in. wheels. On an 88, I would probably run the 7's in front, and the 8's in back.
Right now, I am running 18X7 front and 18X8 rear wheels with no interference problems. This is with my car being lowered 1 in all around as well.

nice thanks Rick. i do know i have had my Jeep "donut" spare on the adaptors.....so are they standard Dodge, GM, Chrysler?? I got no clue.
Mike send me the pics....esmulder@att.net or use the "NEW" PIP...they changed it. you have to download the newer verision. and that link you posted is wack too
thats one of my spares. 575ci forged merlin tall deck big block chevrolet, 850hp on motor, 400hp shot of NOS makes it 1250hp. would look nice on a lawnmower tho lol

rick, i run a billet/kevlar combo in a highly modded th475 trans to hold the power, then run a short driveshaft with 5 ton ujoints to a forged gear driven transfer case, otherwise we tend to blow up trannies with these motors. it might destroy a nice el camino such as yours lol
