Malhalo Bargh!!! now all i need is a black Corvette

you know that feelin when a plan comes togeather?? that feel of connection?? Saturday was the day!!

this sucker has suspension ungrades in all 4 corners....KYB shocks and struts.
looks like a poly swap in the back is done and it came with the full front ploy swap over i have to do

the engine looks professional no wires danglin, under the center consuel, computer wires were tight and wrapped.

the outside Paint is a 5-6 but shinny mostly..inside is fresh, he painted the hard surfaces so that looks nice, but to confess i aint spent that much time in it.
it finally is acting like Winter up here.....40* saturday when i bought it. this Morning is 18* on its way down

now i got this idea.......i do not like these Enkei 18's and wonder how many "sets" of 1987 Fiero Diamond Spoke wheels i can get in trade.
dare, i find some long tube 3800 custom headers somewhere. yeah there is still more room for a HP tweak

plus i got invited to hang with the Flint area, Fast Fiero Dudes this summer!!!! i am in trouble already i can feel it

2 car garage my foot

It has aus sides scoops (stage 2)??

FieroX mounts. he got one new from him and the other two from someone off the forum
18 inch enkie's which are pretty much brand new with new tires about 5000 miles
drilled slotted rotors, new master cylinder, ss brake lines and fuel line ss braided hoses
it has an exhaust set up its real simple 3 inch no cat, 3.4 MPS
4inch intake its made out of PVC pipe, spectra air filter, and a fernco couple
polyurethane bushing kit (cradle bushings and everything else except the front is not done yet)
rear tie rods and ball joints, New shocks and struts KYB, 3 core aluminum radiator.
The trans cooler is not hooked up I cross the threaded the line so he added an aftermarket cooler. there is rust but he por-15'd a bunch of stuff
cut a half a coil off the rear......so its been lowered a bit

The interior its black and red. new carpet, mr.mikes leatherette seats, fiero thomas visors
sony sub under the dash I built the box and never smoothed it out and made it look nice but its hidden away
sony speakers in the back and audibahn in the front black, seat belts, he re-did the headliner but it has started to fall back down
It comes with a scan gauge II and it works great!!

you see it?? whos Engine Mounts??
yeah Fiero X!!!!!!!!!
that is soooo awesome!!! his work right next to Mera X!!

life is sooooo good i even think i am startin to like them wheels too. i do however, think i need some pics of the Meras wheels on that sucka before i do anything rash. but them on X, hummmmm maybe??

i think that center door trim is going Red too....maybe even that metallic red i love soo much

i still want a set in every color......yes i do

i found these huntin TransAm wheels for my Mera. i love the deep cut flakes.....uhhh i mean the deep dish feel with the 2 tone triangle cuts.
kinda remind me of a Lambo i Knew too.....my first ride in it joy. rumor has it the nice fella that gave the ride sold his Supperleggera and bought an Aventador.......i hope to see him in JUne at GingerManRaceWay on Ferrari Club Track day. been 2 years in a row and why would i not do it again.

man i hope i score on my taxes!! its like $500 for 2 days of racing, but the thing for me is the chance to gauge my 3800 against 10-20 Ferrari, other Lotus, GTR's, Porsche, NSX....a whole bunch of monsters!
YES! indeed i have to learn how to drive, now.

*EDIT*
with that said $500 pays for a whole seasons of lessons, no?? ha!

If things continue over the next 4-6 weeks like I plan, I will be placing my order with Rob for one of his 308s. I plan on doing a retro-custom version. You'd be more than welcome to come by and check out his fiberglass work.

Very nice Dan! I have ridden in, and driven some 3800 SC automatics. They are pretty fast. Get used to it before you get to crazy. It's about time you got another color in your life.

thanks.....i will take it easy, but the quick zip i got prior to the sale and i felt like they say about Lambos "they drive themselves" i totally got it. the thing is lowered and the Mera feels like a water tank compaired. sooo ready to run this, but i do need it looked at, just in case. i dont want it to end up like Mera X.

i was half serious about the" Mera Clone" thing... until I MADE THIS!!!

yeah thats the future!!! INDEED!! WOW!

yeah......i do too. totally and completely.
its not the wheels in hindsight. its the puny rotors and calipers!! i need the big brake conversion
but that costs more than the whole car

but its final Mera X is staying as is.......until i bust up the Black Fiero. that is, if my life destiny pattern remains true.
the Fiero will see some body damages here and there at the track.....and when that gets to be too much, well then we only have one recourse
yes, the big swap over....then i buy the prototype, easy peasy, the only thing left to say would be...."I TOLD YOU I WAS GUNNA"
innit funny how life works, eh??
best part about this little bragg...........i dont even have a job! yet! ....annnnnnd Boom goes the Dynamite!!!

*EDIT*
hummmmmm..........."Dynamite" OH HELL YES!!!

FELLAS SAY HELLO TO...............BlackDynamite!!! SUEY!!!!!

If it gets loader as you try to accelerate, it could be a manifold leak--sort of sounds like tappet noise. Buy an automotive stethoscope, detach the metal probe and attach some tubing, then listen around the manifolds--a leak will blow in your ear ;-)

right on fellas

i have been looking at the pics....and to me it sounds like the "nut" came off the "rocker?" and i have a loose goose in there
the nut seems to be attached to the push rod and to me that is making the rattling noise outside of the tick.

this stupid book dont mention the sequence in which i have to take off the main air Intake and valve covers.

what do i have to pay attention to, eh??
dirt inside the engine is the first i see what not to do, so i have to power wash X but thats not till Springier temps.
its been way too cold lately up here for any of that. it was like-1* a few days ago.
i was out busting snow in it life is good, again

Dan,

Since you like black cars with 3800 SC engines as well as Meras, this photo might be a nice one for you to have.

I found a couple of sources for NOS MERA back up lights:

Here's the part number: E1FZ-15500-B

Couple of links that have them:

Put the part # in and Green Sales shows 13

the first two links i didnt get anything from, the third shows a single lamp. a pair is always nicer. but for someone who might only need one it would be a good replacement or spare. maybe for nelson or indy who have multiple meras

Yes, this one has been seen before. This was on the day that I took delivery and then had to quickly swap an engine prior to the old one failing.

Mike, this is the car that I will pull the side markers from when I am a bit more mobile and they will be available to anyone at that time.

i like my mera much better than the fcar it represents. i dont care that its not an exact spot on replica. i can customize it into what i want and it does not cost me a fortune. 1987 pontiac mera, gm 2010 5.3 L33 HO aluminum ls v8, f23 fy1 2010 cobalt trans, cradle out of car currently for custom mounts all around. custom afco adjustable billet coilovers on all fours, fcar f430 19" wheels and tires, fcar f430/f355 4 piston brembos on all fours, still needs lotsa bodywork. only rough in done. interior is immaculate, low miles car. under 60k miles if i remember right, have to go look to be exact. i had big big plans in the beginning, but now just want it to run/drive and be simple... also took the sunroof roof clip off and made it a solid roof, so know its gtb like. also eliminated the mera gts style sail panels and am re engineering a lexan window to represent the similar of the gtb sail glass. also made the headlight covers more fcar like. prior owner had already installed new fcar badging all around, prior owner also installed a new fcar leather interior just before i got her, so on...i have subie sti 13" rotors all around on all fours too, crossdrilled with stainless brake hoses for the brembos. subie rotors have the same bolt pattern and very close hat height, works well with the brembos from the fcar. but who cares, build what you want and have fun. less than 5grand in her currently too isnt too bad.

NO MORE EXCUSES!!! Into the light and beyond!

now that i got my Fast Fiero....ALL EYES ARE ON MERA X
i am positioned to still have a 3.4L in Mera X as long as i hold the status quo....
if i get my SheetMetal job anytime soon its a done deal....but even without, i have a windfall comming plus tax refund.
so thats the swap or repair of the current 2.8 in X things are rollin....bring it!!
