My wife and I were in Santa Fe two weeks ago. Stayed at the Inn on the Paseo. We had a great time exploring Canyon Road, and bought some really nice silver pieces from the Indian Jewlers on the Plaza. BTW the Margaritas at '"Tomasita's" will knock you on your a**. The Blue Corn Enchiladas at Maria's are great, but HOT!!
Stop it! Stop it!
Yeah, I have a couple on page two--one side-on and one of the interior.
man theres a lot of movies with Fieros. I wanna see a race between a Lambo and FieroX on a supercar show. Top Gear or SuperCars Exposed any of them... and see if they would be interested. Problem is, if our FieroX wins it makes the $$$$$ cars look bad....The "its a Fiero" thing.... anyway if FieroX's challenge is accepted and he gets on, we,(I definitely) will show up, uninvited and beg to be on as an X supporter.. to get MeraX on there as well.....I want to meet the STIG....w/ his helmut on... that is my new goal... ohhh...man, FIERO X -VS- the STIG......YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH....SO AWESOME! D

Here they come...... but so soon? this bring a question. are Mera/308 splash off' molds a little bigger then said Mera org. mold. that make sence? their new mold is the size of our cars now? (hopefully).....soo the panel they sell is a panel thickness bigger, right? ohhhh a clue. Dan
Don't have the faintest idea--guess I could contact the previous (previous) owner--I bought the car from Paul V, who was a pass-through from Bob Anderson who owned the car for at least 10 years. I have looked for identifying marks, but couldn't find any. I will take a wheel off one of these days to check the back surface. they appear to be steel rims with cast centers. I'll take a pic and post it--maybe tomorrow.

dan my molds are actual mera panel molds, the molds listed on craigslist are ferrari 328 origin. likely will be some differences. mike in oklahoma
hey Mike, whats happening? welcome back. understood that your molds are mera. my question is for the "slash off" panels. the word splash is misleading me to think that they are top molded off an old panel. so in my eyes they would be a panel thickness bigger. in hindsight it is probabally not so. got to go, later Dan
I'm pleased with the look, but don't know if they have any pedigree.
They look like a Campagnolo, but it would be marked on the wheel like the Cromodoras. Please tell me where you got the center caps, and their diameter????? I neeeeed these!
those look like ferrari 308 rims or fiat bertone rims by campagnolo. if you take one off and look on the back it will be marked the size and bolt pattern and likely the maker name. mike in oklahoma

There are probably Team III wheels. Made in the USA. Are they 15 or 16"?

Team III, are they still in business?
Rodney how about posting a listing of Mera accessories you have for sale on this thread. You previously mentioned having Mera emblems and wheel caps, but I do not see them on you website. I would be interested in someone making "MERA GTS" brake caliper decals. Also, what else do we need to purchase and from where, in order to have a complete bumper assembly using your replacement front bumper?
Those wheels are interesting finds. Would probably require adaptors and hubcentric inserts, and then I wonder if the offset would be correct.
Interesting...if we assume that perhaps 100 Mera's are left on the road today, what happened to all those Chromodora rims that were special-made for the Mera? LOL...probably gracing a lot of 308 kitcars, I imagine. Once in a great while, you will see them pop up on e-bay, just like the original Vitaloni powered mirrors. I think I've seen the wheels twice in my on-line lifetime. I'm sure there are some sets just collecting dust out there somewhere in someone's garage or basement.
Now that it's winter (at least for you guys on the mainland) I'm hoping that more Mera owners will have the time to add to this thread and post pics of their cars. I know there are more Mera owners on PFF!
As for me, holding off on the grill work for now. Definitely on the things to do list, though. Still want to get mats, but I may have to just settle for lettering. The cost to add the Mera logo is just too cost prohibitive for one set.
I think my next project wil be one that Rick and I discussed off-line...redoing that plate thingy that is between the trunk and body, that covers the real tail lights. Mine is a one piece sheet of aluminum that was covered with what looks like black vinyl. Over time, and with heat, it has about a bajillion tiny air bubbles, so now it has an alligator skin texture. At first, I was thinking about redoing the aluminum sheet. But now I'm thinking of just leaving it in place, and instead using 1/4" plywood and naugahyde to make a nice padded cover that can just sit right on top of the aluminum sheet. Opinions???
My "thingy" slides under the trunk compartment seal, if you added 1/4" of plywood it might be too thick. You can probably buy ready quilted Naugahyde, and I'm sure Trim Tack would hold it to the aluminum sheet.

Winter's tough, I've got to find someplace in Mexico to hibernate. Phoenix has been getting down in the thirties at night, and only 70s during the day--com'on summer! Fortunately in a couple months it will be here.
Don't complain....It has snowed twice here in El Paso already!!!! My blood it to thin for this cold weather. I figured I'd go to Phoenix to hibernate. Although today the weather is really nice, and I am off..woo hoo!
I like the look of the all magnesium competition wheels, (not the price). I wonder how our cars would look with the wheels powercoated to look like these. Then we could put a Mera "Scuderia" emblem on the front fenders.
You can get chrome vinyl and others, like carbon fiber for instance. You're going to want vinyl that has a 5 year life expectancy or longer.
Whoops, guess the images are gone--see page 7 at the bottom--guess you could bump that up here, I don't know how to.
I really like the one on the right. I wonder if you could get that made in the "puffy" vinyl to look like the cloisonnes that are on the earlier F-cars.
Yeah, it gets cold in El Paso, must be the elevation, but the sunny days make up for it.

I am sure someone could make them with the clear vinyl overlay, but I don't think it would be worth it for the few we would need. A vinyl decal could be produced in small quantities. Did your wheels come with the Mera emblems? They look like they have clear vinyl overlays.
you guys better quit all your cold complaining. just kiddin. it was 11 DEGREES this morning with a brisk wind of 10 mph. i don't even want to know what the wind chill factor was.... for me southern KY is snowless and warm. hell even Iowa gets way less snow. I love snow. also nice to know ya' all have that alum. plate in back with the quilting.... mine has been out for months, easier to take pictures for questions/answers. Later Dan P.S. an observation on the Cromodoras.... with the fact, early 87 Mera's did not have them rims..... people seeking that "look" bought them for, either a percieved Mera OEM thing or a Ferrari look thing. Me 2 Cent. ohhh just noticed its snowing on the post writing page. even in a *EDIT* cool

I've had the car only 3 months--haven't changed anything. I do have photos going back to '93, and these are the wheels that were on the car. I can take a closer look at the center cap, but don't know if I could tell how it was constructed.
Just looked--they do have a "plastic-y" feel to them.

The 87's were equipped with the stock lace wheels painted to match the car from everything I have read. The one owner 87 here in El Paso was purchased new with Compomotive wheels. The dealer had replaced the stock ones. They have a slightly different look from the Cromodoras much like the the 308 wheels pictures in this thread. However they are not painted, just natural aluminum finish.
those look like oem mondial wheels but who knows. they are on a ferrari in the pic so i would assume they are 5x108 like almost all ferraris. mike in oklahoma
Right, these are OEM wheels, I think off a Testa. As for the pic, I've never seen a Testarossa/Fiero kit so I assume it's an F-car--at any rate I couldn't find a pic from a 308.

looks like we need an old fashioned barn raising in AZ. i'll put on my bibs and fetch the horses. you supply the moon and AZ sun-shine. we get at 'em, done. . say maybe around Feb. 3rd or so. This is when the "winter blahs start for me. Dan

since we are on the subject of garages....I was thinking of turning my carport into a garage with a roll up door on the face here. maybe even 2, for the drive thru effect. YEAH!
with an automatic swinging barn type door here
that will enclose it on two/three sides with the house in the back for a "final wall". throw up a fence from the carport to my side neighbors fence. enclosed the back yard of the house, for a car corral. this will allow me to get 3 or more cars sheltered/purchased, because this here
holds 3 even possibly 4. wonder if the Mera would fit in the workshop???? so many ideas and no time till the next lay off. Later D
