The white Mera sold for $10k. I saw this one late. What was the reserve?

Ebay shows the reserve was lowered, so it probably was $10,000 when it sold.

I spoke with the seller and the car is going out of the country, 1 less Mera in the US.

I wonder how many are left here if 39 of them were sent to Japan when they were new.

The initial reserve was $15000 when I spoke with him. It did not sell and he later sent me an e-mail stating that the reserve was now $10000. I saw the bids hit $10000 and sent him a message congratulating him on the sale.

If the letter is correct only 199 Meras went to US owners????

Where does the 247 number come from?

We have a '87 Mera (#7004) in Sweden and one '88 (i think) in Jolly Ole England, also.

Do the seller mention where the car is being shipped to? Perhaps the new owner will post on Pennocks.

I sold the yellow TTop to Jack Castro 2 years ago. Had a few too many Fieros in the yard and coming up on a move. I really regret getting rid of that car! He made some changes to it and sold it here:

https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum4/HTML/064329.html

He did give me first refusal on it. Unfortunately I didn't have the liquid funds at the time. I would have loved to get that car back!!! Not sure where it ended up.

I am stuck. I have two boys staying with me and my son for sports camps this year so I am stuck with three that can't drive. Somehow I think sticking four of us in a Indy/MERA/GBCT might not be so comfortable. However, and this just occured to me, why can't I pack them all in the SUV and come for the day???

Since this thread has died down quite a bit, I thought I'd bring up a possible project for our Mera's. I have been eyeing the replacement LED side markers available for Fieros and plan to install them in my car. I am also thinking of trying to mount LED brake and turn signal lights behind the Mera tailight covers.

Just about every semi trailer, or school bus now has round LED tailight's. I have not taken exact measurements but I think a number of the available round LED lights would fit. How hard would this conversion be? I am not an electrical guy so I want to be sure everything works.

Another thing I am considering is LED headlights. Check out www.truck-lite.com. They make a correct size replacement, plug and play LED headlight for our cars. It puts out the best light I have seen compared to conventional halogen sealed beams. I was considering euro spec Hellas before I came across these.

Great, Rick, will follow your progress with interest.

I've always liked the low profile headlights covered elsewhere on Pennock's--if you do LEDs up front maybe they would look cool that way.

Anybody heard from LEEEZARD lately? Sent him 3 private messages within the last week or so, none of them got any response. He was always very good with communication prior to this, just wondering if everything is ok or if something happened any of you know about that would explain the lack of a reply.

Hey, Dan, how are you doing?

That is too strange to be true--Fierosound should make contact and ask him what his name means.
