Really? I think they look like bricks on wheels and ugly bricks at that. Doesn't inspire passion in me despite it's performance.
duly noted I see function over form with the GT-R. its fast as all get out and that's all I care about with that car. oh and that its referred to as "Godzilla", a childhood hero of mine but if we talk looks I love me some Lamborghini's. that's true expression of both form and function for me
and speaking of "Function and Form"..............................*Mera X-UPDATE*
got off the horn with OleJoeDad and he says "2 weeks!!" and luckily for me we got a mile long timed race coming to the area!!
THE MICHIGAN MILE!!!! http://themichiganmile.com/wordpress/ I hear'd theres maybe another 3800 SC in the area that's gunna run this Mile....so if he does I will not use Mera X. I'll use the New V8 GT, maybe.....problem there is that its only got 3 gears. not sure if I got enough top end to make over ???120 mph?? the 3800 in Black Dynamite had 147 mph....just not sure how much distance that took. man I wanna play and I will!

BTW, I still have a few OEM Mera tail light lenses left if anyone needs one or two. I have more red lenses than amber ones and would be inclined to sell the red ones at a slightly lower price to get my initial cost back from the batch I purchased.
I am on a roll!! so I wish for a lot of stuff and most of it comes true!! well I guess a guy I work with (he is a carpenter and I do the sheetmetal) well he just bought a '84 308 BOXER!! super cool. now I can get them compare/contrast pics I have always wanted and maybe a bit of a race
yeeeeehaw!! its to be delivered today!!
even has the seat pattern that Corporate Concepts..... mocked

Do the lenses you are selling come with the inner housing? I have one that is deteriorating badly, and it barely holds the twist in bulb housing in place. I would like to try to find a replacement before I'm rigging something up with JB weld.
Guys I need a favor. The folks at Billet Badges are going to paint my MERA letters as close to factory as humanly possible in the exact same color black as on the front MERA badges. I don't trust myself to make the good straight lines needed to be primo. What I need is some good hi res shots of the MERA letters from multiple angles so they can duplicate it. Anyone able? Thanks ahead of time.

Mine are lens only. You may want to consider making a mold of an existing inner housing and see if you can reproduce them yourself. I believe that EVA Rob can make them, but his lenses for the tail lights were a slightly different size when I tried to use one of my lenses on his exterior mount.

John,
I can take pictures of mine but they are all restored and I hand painted them. Try showing them the uncut Grand Am/SE badges that you have and see if that answers any questions since they are the original source for the MERA letters. Your old letters should show them the angles of the cuts made and what paint color was initially used.

Nelson, Am I safe to assume the lenses are separate from the housings in our cars? i have never had my tailights apart. I think my lenses are fine but I will take a close looks since you have some spares.

There are several screws/threaded rods (two or three) that hold the MERA lens to the circular external mounting bracket/piece (slightly larger than the lens). I can check and see the exact number if you really want to know but I do not remember the number offhand.

Sure, however, I am the third owner and I know the car has been repainted. Will try to post this evening.

There are three size 10 - 24 tpi studs with nuts that hold each of my rear 'Mera' lens w/dual light housings onto the car. On my tail lights, the lens and housing are glued together.
Looking real good! You are going to love driving that 3800SC...they are a blast to drive.
That's what I'm counting on. My DD is a 2.0L four cyl with an aftermarket SC kit on it. I've been driving it since 2005 and it has been the most fun DD I have had. Love the whine when it boosts.
With a SC 3.8, six or eight hundred pounds less weight, mid engine and rear wheel drive the Mera should be even more fun

Based on personal experience I can guarantee that you will like it!!~
Let me clarify something upfront...so I do not accidentally step on any virtual toes...I do not have a true MERA by Concept Corp and don't claim to, but I do have the 1st of many of a very high quality concept car inspired by the MERA truly more than the 308, but it comes with all the modern conveniences & technologies of any modern sports car and a 2 year / 24,000 mile limited nationwide warranty
Was considering putting my zero mile DOHC, but think I am leaning to my 3.4 Turbo...need to make a decision by next week...if go DOHC...glad to share all that we do or let you come up to shop and check it out.

One of my 87 Meras has a turbo 3.4 engine coupled with a Getrag 282 transmission and it is quite nice. I still get about 26 mpg on the highway at around 73-75 mph with the A/C running. I do have the 272 cam installed and the engine has around 12,000 total miles on it now. It is a nice compromise but does not have the raw power of the 3800 SC or a large V8. I may some day get the car dynoed but do not expect huge numbers (especially since I have a very conservative tune for reliability and did not elect to get every available HP out of the engine).

I don't know how long these guys have been in business, but I wish them the very best and hope they succeed beyond all expectations.

I wonder how much a 3.4 DOHC swap would run from these guys? Back in the day, I drove a new Grand Prix with this engine and 5-speed. It would rev to 6000 RPM with ease, and moved the Grand Prix pretty well. This engine would be in character with Mera and have a much broader useable RPM range. I imagine it would sound pretty good to thru the Fiero V6 muffler!

a little sumthin' for the new arrival. still needs a bit of work and just playing here will most likely go with chrome in the end. but, also thinking a new arrangement for to make room for the "Supercharged" emblem now
thinking about bringing the new "Mera" down to the "Pontiac" level and putting the "Supercharged" emblem across the way on the passenger side on same plane hummmmmm maby yes.....Maby no!!

I like the MERA font you painted gray. I would want it in chrome for my car. What model of Pontiac did you make this combo from?

Have you found the blue SE letters in chrome anywhere?
I have a few sets of the complete "GRAND AM S/E" letters but I will have to dig them out.
LMK if they are all chrome. I may need to make a junkyard run. I like this font more than the stock Mera letters. I will save my originals but these would change things up a bit......Shoot if i can find the "Pontiac" in the same font shown in the pictures I could put MERA GTS on the decklid!

Rick,
I have an uncut set of these letters also and they are not all chrome. They are a chrome foreground and black background/sides. These sets are waht the original MERA letters came from.
I'm running 245/50-15 on the front and 265/50-15 on the rear. These tires are as old as the car and I'm afraid they won't make it through another Phoenix summer. It appears 225/50-15 is about as close as I can come to to the front size--265/50s are still available. Any comments or suggestions?
