BUMP, my foot.
WHERE ARE YOU ALL AT?
TOMMY???
whooops, sorry that was D
he got out somehow.
i mean ......if i have gotten out of hand lately, i apologize. sorry.
So lets talk turkey.
in this last craigslist Mera, I...........like it.
Mera #8122. its even my number or #8022 would be fine also. i have a thing for the #'s 22 and 222.
birthday/numeralology stuff.
the car looks real clean.
but. seems weird that there is 3 mirror switches and 4 gold Mera nose badges (3 of which look like Tom's)
the one is faded.
you know? the thing about the nose badges is that they seem to have a black border around the gold border???
and also, unless they are horn buttons, there are only 2 wheel emblems.
just some observations of the slideshow. plus .02 cents.
Later,
Daniel

MAN! all 4 of the nose badges match the ORG. pic. Rodney posted of the OEM Mera nose.
also missed it the first time but, it/he has the OEM 2 slat lower front alum. grille.
you know? if one should start to make a worthy "Parts Car" list, this car is already worth what i paid for my Mera.
its got= upper door "bumpers", Cromodoras, mirrors, switches, emblems, front grill, headlight covers and the most important thing
the sticker. thems the hard stuff to "fake/find"
with all the recent Mera sale adds, i was thinking of a sales pitch should i sell mine(NOT)
but without the build # as a negative, something like.... "how 'bout if i knock off a cool $10,000
off so we can still make a deal here......"
with the last 2 or so add's lately... thats still $15,000. dicker and deal to 12 5 and we got a deal.
easy. got mine under $9000.
speaking of sales, ya'll see the thread about the 308 shipped to Spain??
thats cool. Internationale'.

back to the mines later,
Dan

say?...... is "flagged for removal" a bad thing?
its gone. huh.
i still like the 1st e-bay one. the 1987 Mera with the black paint accents. Mera 7064. i believe
already looked it up on the map. 'sonly about 75 to 100 miles away.....CRUSE YOU BAD ECONOMY!!!!!!!!!
anywhoo.....i like the 87's as a collector of the rare. its got the OEM rims in gold
first i have seen outside B. Bracey himself..(pic of him and a yellow Mera)
ok, so i collected comics in the early 90's......maybe not so rare... i should check.
would it not be a kick if i had a new paint in a 100 books or so.
100 x $10.
200x $5 or........
I gotta go!!!

This was a good read.
i ani't got no $400 a month just for maintance. E'll no.
$4800 pays for new, nice and big U.S. built pavement destroyer. first year alone.
the problem with the replica/real Ferrari thing and they always win..... is with the statement...
"But it is still a real Ferrari...."
when i found Mera X, i was looking for a real 308 or Lotus Esprit on E-bay...
really its funny,
in like 5 or 6 days i was first introduced to the Pontiac Mera
and won one, in my opinion, at a steal of a price due a default with the highest bidder's lack of
communication. happy daze!!
say? anybody have a PowerChip in their car..
the Spain 308 had this and a funnel air intake, what ever that is.... but it looks easy for some HP
i am going NUTS not able to bust the Mera out for a spin.
damn salt trucks.....
anyway....later

Those are the optional Chromadora wheels. The front bumper is not original and there have been some badge changes as well based on my quick look.

I have the hub covers for my Chromadora's, but I choose not to run them. The wheels look much better without them. I wonder what they are asking for the car?

Rob,

This project is on hold until after Daytona. I knew that I could not finish the interior by myself prior to the end of March so I elected to wait until then to start. I have VDO instrumentation installed in the new dash and have done some preliminary wiring work. If you would like to show up at the house and help me complete this prior to Daytona, I have plenty of room and would love to be an advertisement for your professional work.

Nelson

Do you have plenty of spare change in that room Nelson? My daily rate will have to be enticing to get me to fly across the continent again to do another install. My last install in Florida gave me the flu and I worked from dawn to midnight for 2 1/2 days in sticky 95' humidity, and that was with the gauges already wired up. It's the wiring that takes up the majority of the install. I would have to say it'll be a 4-5 day marathon to include gauges...assuming no complications.

Well, the car is in my basement garage which is fully set up with HVAC so we could ignore the humidity issue. I also have a spare car that you could use if you do not mind driving a Mera or a F308 rebody. The spare change amount would have to be negotiated. If you are serious, give me a price and I will consider it. I have the tools and equiupment here to do most anything we need.

Looks like you need to adjust the bumpers at the back of the hood. How does it line up everyplace else?

Well, it's off the bumpers, so I guess the problem is in the latch positioning--don't know if that is adjustable. Certainly not easy like the engine compartment latch.

Just checked--pretty easy to adjust latch, captive nuts and exposed cap screws. Don't know what that will do to the fender/hood alignment, may have to reach a happy medium.

I was afraid of that but had nothing at all to loose by asking. Please let me know if you change your mind.

I thought the Mera hood is just an overlay on a stock Fiero hood. So are you able to lower the hood latch in the opening to get the hood to line up? Pics please!
