I know I'm about the 6000th person to do this, but I just had to pop in and compliment your Mera! I absolutely love that you have badged it exactly as what it is, especially since there are probably far fewer Meras than 308s. Wish I could see it in person!
Does anyone have a link where I can get a fair market value on a Mera? I found one but it was from 2104.
Thank you
Julian,
I will be happy to share what I know with you. PM or email me at the listed PFF email address and we can do it that way or I will provide a cell phone number..

Dick Mera #8046 (Miss January, Mile High Fieros 2014 calendar) 1987 GT T-boned (RIP) 1988 GT T-Top (The Fiero Store Calendar: Miss February 2012) 1987 McBurnie Daytona Spyder
A few inaccuracies in the ad with some bits of truth but I have serious doubts about using the original Mera tooling since the molds were destroyed in front of a Ferrari witness if I recall my history correctly. Although I could be wrong, I do not know of any Mera body panels being sold separately.
That being said it is not a bad looking car but I would certainly do a thorough inspection of the vehicle prior to purchase. The rear deck lid is not Mera and the front deck lid is more F328 than anything else. I am also curious as to whether the specified factory manual is a standard Fiero manual or something else.

not a mera owner sorry if i should not be posting here. i am purchasing a 308 kit and had a couple questions that only mera or kit owners can answer. i will post pics up if i can get some responses.
1. how do the hidden door handles work etc. they kit currently has some aftermarket door handles that will need to be deleted and fiber glassed BUT how to go about making door handles for them in the hidden groove section. 2. what size exactly are the cromodora rims. i found a pair on the east coast but the seller can only tell me that they are 16x9 . what is the offset that will be needed to work with no mods. 3. any aftermarket options for turn signals or front light covers. Rodney no longer sells them and his suggested link to a website in austria came back with zero replies after 3 email attempts. is my only option really $ 350 for real ferrari ones. ?
I may be able to help out some with your questions since I have owned both a 308 kit as well as Meras. Some of my answers will be specific and some will require some research. Let's start with the easy one first.
1. The wheels that you found are 16" x 9" so they are not the Chromadoras associated with the Mera. All of the 88 Mera Chromadora options are 15" wheels. I do have a complete set of spare Chromadora rims in my storage area and can take measurements on them if needed since I do not have to pull them from the cars.
2. The front bumper lights that I believe that you are referencing belong on the Euro bumper that Rodney developed for the Mera. The stock Mera bumper did not have integrated lights. You may be able to get a reproduction yellow lens for your application from EVM Rob on PFF. It is difficult to locate the specific Ferrari lens since they apparently used different lenses for different models and even for different years of the same model. BTW, which lens do you need? I ask this only since I may have one spare lens that was installed on a Euro bumper and appears to be a stock Ferrari lens. One of the lenses had a bottom chunk missing from apparent rock damage but the other one is intact.
3. WRT the door handle, I will try to get a couple of photos of the Mera handle as well as the door interior arrangement . If I can get decent photos, I will post them here or send them directly to you via email.
Hidden Door Handle Location
I tried to get photos of the interior of the door with the inner panel removed but no luck for a decent photo without tearing the whole door apart.

If EVM ROB can't help you and if your front bumper uses the same turn signal lens as the 308 GTB/GTS Ferrari there are usually sellers on ebay with repro lenses for a more reasonable price. Sometimes you can find amber, amber/clear and clear versions of the lenses. I have Rodney's Euro front bumper and I got my lenses from ebay, they are repros but look good. This seller has all 3 versions, search - 308 ferrari turn lens .
Thanks for the info thus far. you are correct on the rims they turned out to be hre 505 rims which are pretty darn expensive. I am leaving the rims for last as that is the least of my problems right now and I actually found a Fiero Forum member with a set of cromodora wheels that will go for a good price once I'm ready.
As for the rear tail light I was lucky enough to find a used one on eBay now for 120.
I did not know that evRob was also on this forum I found on the Rodney Dickman website I tried contacting him through his website several times with no luck.
As for the lenses in the front thank you for the link I just saved it.
I will be having many questions soon I appreciate you guys and all your help I've been drooling over this thread for years and I finally have found a kit.

Nelson thank you very much for taking the time to take those photos and attempting to get photos from the inside door panel I think that's going to be one of my biggest obstacles I will post up photos of his silly door handles when I get a chance
Image wheels in the UK makes a 5 spoke Classic Star pattern wheel that would look good on a 308. They are 3 piece wheels either cast or billet and available in 15 thru 20 inch sizes.
Here is a link to 3SDM 0.05 Wheels (available in 15 inch to 18 inch diameters) which you also may like. On offer at ECS Tuning, these 18 inch versions (Part # 3SDM:3S5880CSD ), while scuffed as well as larger than the stock 15" Mera and 16" 308 wheels, are very affordable at $63 each: - https://www.ecstuning.com/b...ntent=All%20Products

I was looking at Rodneys site out of curiosity and he has updated his front bumper page and states that he is going to make a few more. I have one of them on my Mera and they are first rate, well engineered like all of the other products I have purchased from him. I think it really improves the look of the front of the car, was well worth the expense.
Hi, and welcome !! You have a rare car. I've heard there were only about 50 Meras sent to Europe. Tell us about your car, and if you have a PC you can post some pictures too, if you wish.
Sorry I'm late for getting back to you. My Mera has the number 119 from 1988. I am looking for the original logos for my Mera. Is there anyone here who can help me? Are there ways to get originals or replicas? Would you be very grateful if my Mera could be back on the road in the original.

After I posted above, something is strange. Both cars are number 174 according to the plates yet the burgundy one has no side markers front or rear and the factory antenna.

I noticed that, too. Probably sold the red one and transferred the plate. The burgundy one looks to be a knock-off like mine, or someone went through a lot of trouble to make it more Ferrari.

Greetings From Germany Carsten
Emblempros made a nose badge for me, I am pleased with how it turned out. They should be able to change the Corporate Concepts lettering if you want something different, Roger is great to work with.
I'd like to do it right. I know that there are differences between the 1987 and 1988 Mera emblems. Where is the difference - in color? Can anyone send me pictures of the 1988 emblems on the bonnet, in the door panels, on the wheel hubcaps, etc.? That would be great! Maybe even with the dimensions so I can send them to emblempros. For the lettering on the rear bonnet I bought the Mercury Topaz lettering - it's supposed to be pretty similar to the original. Is that true?
I can drive my Mera from April 1st and I will do that ONLY without the Ferrari logos. It would be great if I had a replacement by then.
Rear panel logo's between the right side tail and back up lights. The "2.8" logo is from a Chevrolet S-10 truck and the "GTS" is from a Chrysler LaBaron, IIRC

I believe there are no MERA logos within the interior, only Fiero badging.
Nice Mera, Carsten. I like that you are going to badge it as a Mera. Mine also had Fcar badging when I got it, one of the first things I did was to take them off.
Here is a link to some Mera info if you haven't found it, Rodney has a pic which I think are the 88 Mera factory emblems on it. He has some of the original sales brochures for sale along with all the other Fiero parts he sells. http://pontiacmera.com/
Carsten, my "2.8" badge measures about 12.5 by 2.5 cm and the smaller "GTS" badge is about 10.3 by 2.3 cm :
BTW, the "2.8" lettering is chrome paint with black over it on the sides The red/brown is just the reflection of my jacket.. and the "GTS" is finished in a paint that looks like horizontally brushed stainless steel.
The Mera nose badges are 56.4 mm in height and 33.5 mm in width. The 87 badges have silver lettering and Corporate Concepts on them in addition to the Mera name and the stylized double M. The 88 nose badges have gold colored lettering and only the stylize double M and Mera on them. The two nose badges shown in the single photo are actually reproductions but are identical to my original 87 and 88 nose badges. The single 87 nose badge is an original from my collection.
I took my MERA to the "Street Car Takeover Kickoff Party" in Kansas City yesterday. It was a really fun show, lots of cars and spectators. They parked me next to a Lambo Gallardo. There was more interest in the MERA than the Lambo, no one had ever seen a MERA and only one person knew anything about them. The judges were very intrigued with the car and the story behind it. They gave my MERA the "Car Show Most Unique" award, it was nice to see it get some recognition.
Can anyone confirm whether Mera tail light lens and Ferrari 308 lenses are interchangable (same mounting points)? Someone on FB is looking to use his Mera buckets with new lenses.

I cannot answer your question for certain, but can supply some info that may be useful. Rob_EVM has molds for a F308 body kit and I tried to fit one of his tail light lens mounts to an OEM Mera lens and discovered a slight mismatch. I might have been able to build an adapter, but the two items were incompatible. If Rob's lens mount is an exact copy of the F car lens mount, it likely will not fit without some mods.

Nelson, that is interesting. Thank you. I was keeping EVM_Rob in by back pocket for the back shells. My lenses are good, but the back shells are melted.
My tail light backs were melted also, the sockets were just flopping around in them. I got some C4 Vette tail lights andf sockets and cut the sockets out of them and put them in the Mera backs. It has worked good for several thousand miles so far and looks just like it did when I first put them in. Used a hole saw to cut them out of the C4 tails, smaller hole saw for the Mera backs, pop riveted and sealed with automotive Goop. I have Plasma LEDs from West Coast Classic Cougar instead of incandesent bulbs, they are very bright and have held up great.
