yes Nelson I am still interested in your set as well being that these pieces are becoming harder and harder to find I wouldn't mind having a sack even if they do need some work

Pm sent. By any chance did you take documentation along your steps with photos that can possibly help out if it comes to me having to go this route. I am by no means a fabricator but it seems like something fun to try out on maybe I can show this to my body shop guy. I'm wondering how much it would be to have the frames waterjet cut out done.

I saw the louvers that Bloozeberry made for his Stinger 308 kit and did something similar for my car. I had the frames water jet cut out of 1/8 aluminum sheet. The slats are 1/16 x 1 1/4 aluminum bar stock. It was a challenge to bend the frames to match the sail panels, I used a Harbor Freight ring roller. The aluminum panels are much better than my old set that were some type of plastic, not fiberglass.

Possible MERA on Ebay, $3999.00 Buy it now or best offer. Listing says 86 but VIN is 88 Formula. It has Chromadoras, correct backup lights and tail lights. No connection to seller.

Not a Mera since it is a 1986 and certainly is not the prototype. There are also other discrepancies visible in the few included photos and they (IMO) confirm kit car.
The 88 MERA sold. I spoke with the buyer this morning, it is 8041. The listing had the year wrong, the VIN said it was an 88 Formula. He said it is a really nice car, the pictures on the Ebay listing made it look terrible but it is actually a very nice car, only has 12,000 miles and spent most of it's life in a garage. What a deal, the V8 swap alone would cost more than the sale price.

Hey there guys and gals! Happy New Year to one and all. Glad to see this thread is STILL going strong after 9+ years!
Just FYI, I've directed about 3-4 people to this site, people who have asked me questions regarding the Mera badges. Obviously they must be reading through to get my contact info, which is fine. But I recommended that they join the Forum since you'all are the Mera experts! Hope they join in on the fun!
Again, Happy New Year everyone! Keep those Mera's going!!
i am the lucky son of a gun that got his hands on MERA 8104 . i confirmed it is indeed the real deal with Rodney dickman before the purchase. It was the original owner as the title confirms it by date and he was an older gentleman who originally posted it as an 86 then changed it to an 87 ONCE he realized the mistake he made he pulled the ad off EBAY to avoid further confusion. Since i was the first person to contact him we spoke on the phone and came up with a reasonable price between the two of us. I purchased it the next morning not for the price you see listed but actually more.
Does anyone with a current MERA nose bdage be willing to take there car to a trophy shop with laser engraving capabilities to have new badges created. I have contacted " real mera in paradise" but the trophy shop he had them done at is no longer in business and without one on hand they cannot make anything. Anyone willing to get new ones created I would be paying for all the related fees associated with having them re-created. I cant be the ONLY one in need of Mera badges am I ?
Feel free to PM me or call me if you prefer to just deal with each other. THanks in advance and i am happy to be a part of the group after my 10 year search for a real MERA.

It's so great a Pennock's member bought this car, and will appreciate and protect it into the future. And it appears you treated the original owner fairly too.. very classy.
My Mera has a new front medallion to replace the deteriorated original, which has the Corporate Concepts lettering removed as you can see if the image. I can look for the OE badge if you wish, but it's not in wonderful shape and if found, will take photo-shopping to clean up.
I found a company named Emblempros that makes custom badges. They made my nose badge, I am happy with the way it looks. Mine is like the 87 silver nose badges. Roger at Emblempros was very helpful, maybe he can make a gold nose badge for the 88 MERA. Just take the Corporate Concepts lettering off the 87 image and add the bar that the 88 has.

Congrats on the purchase. You don't have to answer here, but does that mean your other project is over with?
All the leg work to have the nose badges reproduced has been done along with the MERA letters for the decklid. All the details are in this thread....somewhere Just contact Billet Badges and have them send one out!
Wondered if anyone has a high res pic of the GTS badge and the part number for the original? Or if you have an original I would like to get them reproduced.

No RCR i plan on finishing the 328 KIT car and will sell it once completed. i plan on keeping the mera and my convertible only. its crazy because i prefer the front end on the 328 which has the cool turn signal / fog lights.
Nose Badge......................$165 MERA Decklid Letters.........$185 Engine Callout Badge.........$135 GTS Badge.......................$135
Top three are available now but I have to send them the GTS badge so they can CAD it and get it ready.
yes i also spoke to billet badges and thank you for the info but they can only make the aluminum nose badge and not the gold needed for an 88. i will try around with different trophy shops and see what happens but if worse comes to worse i will just use the silver / aluminum front badge. You guys are awesome i am soo glad after 10+ years of searching i am a MERA owner. now to remove all these ferrari badges
this is by far the BEST repro i have seen yet. they just cannot make them in gold. If i cannot find a place to make a gold one for me i will purchase this silver one. The raised font / lettering is amazing

I had this nose badge on the front of my MERA for a couple of years, Billet Badges made the first one for me. After I painted the car I replaced it with the MERA badge from Emblempros. The Billet Badges version tends to collect bugs and anything else that comes along and started looking pretty tired. I stumbled across Emblempros and they made the current badge that's on my car and it is clear acrylic so it stays clean.
I just spoke with Roger at Emblempros and he has the same material with gold backing so he can make the 88 version badge in gold. Earlier today I sent him the 88 image to make a couple of silver badges so he has the 88 artwork.
so i found a local place to make some emblems just to play around with some ideas but i still think the billet badge by johnnyrottin is amazing due to the raised font. but check it out the person inverted the design and i think its kind of cool . what do you guys think ? i can get some more made up if you guys like them since i already paid the fee for the file to be done. the second image is the original one re-made by "real mera in paradise"
Who was the person who wanted the miniature Mera stickers designed to fit on the interior door lock/unlock panel? I have unfortunately lost the contact info during the search process. After a lot of looking I located my stash of these items and have them for 87 and 88 vehicles (black/silver 87 and gold/black 88).
Nelson that was me. Since i just acquired a real mera ( after 10 year search ) i have MERA fever. So I took the advise of " a real mera in paradise " and found a trophy shop with laser engraving that was able to make them for me. I still think johnnyrottins badge is by far the best due to the raised font and textured back. But these are actual emblems and since i already paid for the design he can remake them pretty cheap if anyone needs some.

Expect further details to be posted later in the year. It is currently scheduled for near the end of September. You can likely go to the Georgia Fiero Club web site and get more details but there is normally a thread posted on PFF.
We now have a viable source for MERA sail panels. I have an evaluation pair and they look quite nice. Contact me if you have any specific needs in this area.
he IS still abound!!! i was wondering. Aloha Bragh! \m/

Low mile 88 MERA #8125 listed on ebay, no reserve. Looks like the real deal, Mera production sticker and all the MERA specific parts appear to be there. No connection to seller.

NOT TO CHANGE THE TOPIC BUT......WANTED MERA or STINGER??? - FOR MY "LAST RIDE"
Greeting's all. I am back on here under a new username KARRNUTT, because my original name WAYNE was not being recognized by the login? Anyway, I had to sell my MERA back in 2012 I think, because I could not fit both a passenger AND my oxygen tank in the car. Also my chances of being around were looking pretty slim. Well, after a double lung transplant and a 30 day coma, four code 4's & the last rights. Plus 5 years of recovery......I AM BACK! And of course I miss my MERA, or at least another one. Has to be a manual, red over tan would be nice, but not a deal killer. IF it had t-tops that would be great. The rejection med's for the transplant are killing my kidneys (in stage 4) so I don't have a lot of time for this "search." Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Hello to all of you who may remember me, and please pass this along to batousa1666 (Dan). Still Well! The Wayne'ster. I also placed this on the "new" heading, I just thought that since this is the forum I was most active on, and it's for Mera people, it might get more action. Thanks for reading.

Thank's it's good to be back! Back on this site, and...back alive! It's been tough, but I guess the good Lord is not ready for another "car nut" messing up his parking lot. Been through a mess of cars since the Mera, 1978 Mercedes 450 SL, 2006 Mercedes SL 55 AMG, and now a 1993 300ZX Roadster. But none had that Wow Factor of the Mera. You know I even had Tom Selleck (Magnum #1) sign the glove pouch. New owner is on this site I think, in Oklahoma if I remember correctly.
