hello dan, yes all of the new kevlar panels are on 7071. does not look crashed anymore... is a good thing. and also have a fiberglass set of panels on the little 88 i am using as a test mule as well. have my f430 brake conversion on both cars, have my cad designed tubular a arms on both cars, so on... 7071 is mostly stock though. am leaving it that way with exception to brakes and suspension. brakes and suspension were hurt in the crash so since having to replace might as well use good stuff lol. talk to you later, mike in oklahoma
ps i have had absolutely no interest...zero...nada...zilch... inquiries/purchases about my mera replacement panels or mera parts. so kinda lost interest. mike

yeah i know, it just the driving withdrawls.....even the winter driving/drifting season has been lame here....cold, hardly any snow. today, however.... 46 degs..SUNNY. i can doo something with this.Later Dan
really? we have had record snow this winter here in oklahoma.... im not so much worried about myself as much as i am worried about who or what will run into me lol mike in oklahoma
I love the beechwood interior of my Mera...but it's just a WIDE EXPANSE of brown everywhere.
So, I decided to purchase a set of grey arm rests, and I used this paint to re-paint them black.
I prepped the arm rests by washing them well with Dawn and letting them air dry for one entire day. The paint goes on very easily, and after a couple days drying, it does flex without cracking. Time will tell on how well it holds up. The only down side is that its way too glossy. I'll deal with that later. Anyways, I just wanted to see how it would look, and personally, I like the new contrasting colors:
Well, Tom, that stuff sure works great or you're quite a craftsman, one--I would guess the latter.
I noticed something interesting; the mask around your rear window is missing the part up the right side--so is mine. I can't believe it was originally that way, but it does allow a "peak" out that corner.

sorry....you can have it, friend....i need a break, every year (give or take a year) from 1990, i have helped a friend, shovel his plow contracts. i do the walks of the office building and Apts. well i am Done....horrible wet, heavy, miserible stuff..to shovel as is. i do miss the money. its funny that we do not have the snow like we used too or i would be shoveling today. cuz i am weak...and like money. to my surprize the forecast for SW Mi is like 50 all week. is wishing the same as praying??
Hi Tom. where you been?? them arm rests are a nice little "break-up" in the interior. nice job. ever wanna try the upper inner door panel make-up. the Mera bolt on??? i could try to paint it for you?? actually your sleepin' i'll just do it! later, Dan

Tom's sister car.Mera #8045. wonder if its still there?
(orginally posted by Chad87FB, on 9-10-2007) So I'm at the shop today and a guy from a shop down the way comes by and asks me if I'd be interested in an '88 Fiero with a Ferarri body kit he picked up at auction last week. The price was reasonable so I said bring it by and I'll take a look. He gave me some b/w pictures to look at and I started reading up on what made a Mera a Mera. Sure looked like one in the pics.
The car was dropped off a few minutes ago and man is it rough. Real rough. Rust has not been kind to this thing.
1st thing I did was pop the rear hatch and sure enough... MERA Serail NO. 8045. Here's a link to more pics:

Hehehe, you really want to know what I paid for it? Here's a little story on this car:
A couple months ago a guy came up to my shop and asked if I'd be interested in a Fiero with a Ferrari kit. I asked wha shape the chassis was in and he said it was real rusty. He also said he didn't think it was a Mera. I wasn't looking for a project, especially for the $2k he was asking, so I passed.
Last week this car came up at auction and was purchased for... are you sitting down?... $300.
Come to find out, it's the same car. Nor sure why the guy thought it wasn't a Mera when the ID tag is there plain as day. Sure glad I didn't go get it for $2k
