hey... silly question???? the picture of the 1995 mera reunion shows two silver and black mera's... other than that pic... i have never seen anything other than red, yellow, and black mera's. the pic dan posted a day or so ago of a blue one is very cool... does anyone know what colors were available on mera's?
ask and you shall recieve......see the black circle first colum....
the blue Mera is the same color of the F-Car for the era.....
the only grey one i have seem is Nelsons.....correct me if i am wrong Nelson, but thats a re-paint from white......correct? your charcol grey is real nice.....tho
*EDIT* whoops this may not be Nelsons.....it has different wheels....and a GA license plate....Color me a liar, if so

The gray car pictures are in fact the same vehicle (with different wheels). The Primax wheels are now on a car in Atlanta and the Ferrari type wheels are currently installed on the vehicle. This car was a repaint from the factory white paint. The current color is a Toyota E9 with pearl added.

That white over black 87 looks like it had the stock bumper flipped and shortened. Does anyone know the ower of this one. I would like to see how they did the bumper mod. It looks much better.
I cannot compete with Mike but this is one of my current Mera projects that I hope will be completed some day. This is a 383 stroker and it will go in an 88 Mera. Work is underway, but a completion date is uncertain.
All of these Meras were project types and I cannot do everything so some some of the work is contracted out and I have to fork over money since I have not located anyone silly enough to work on these cars for free (other than me). So, would you like the bills that go along with the collection? I would be happy to send them to you if you are volunteering.

Hey guys, sup Dan...yes it stands for Camaro 383 Rally Sport..lol. Got some questions, when you showed pic in calling all Mera's of the rear where the quarter deck lid and sail come down, thats exactly how mine looks. The blue Mera pic you posted has the same lights mine does in black part of front bumper...why don't I see others that way? My deck lid looks exactly like the ones in your pics....but with alot of fiberglass repair..lol. I will email you the new pics tomorrow night I hope.

OK its Monday time for some work.......lets see.....
1st.....Rick i was right it was in the AutoTrader up here (OHIO) and sold on e-Bay.....$8,600. March 18 2010.
all i got is a E-Bay contact. looks like his last transaction was selling this car. the Buyer does still show but the ID Transaction Number does not match. its "Description" is:- "Pontiac Fiero" but the unique Trans number dont jive. also he had another Pontiac Fiero sale for over $8,000 so i am not sure. if you want the Ebay names let me know.....
Right on Cam383. what year Camaro?? i am a TransAm '77fan/'95owner, myself so..... its all realitivekinda
ok the bumper is most likely the 308 "Real" lookin swap some have done.....actually concieved by a Mera owner. Rodney Dickman. go and check out his shop he has all kinds of cool little things for the Ferrari-fication of some poor Mera also if you say that the Red angled "triangle" comming from the roof, behind the doors is seperate from the side lower 1/4 panel where the wheel well is.... well then thats a real good sign.mind you its not the END as far as Mera qualification. its just the easiest way to spot a kit if its all one piece.....good show!
if it has not been stated as such, let it be known from here on, always........ Mera #7029
*EDIT* NOT THIS RED X SH%T AGAIN.......ARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!! TEACH YOU BLOODY RED X..........BAM!!!!!

OI!!!! just talked to the owner and its still available......SCOOP!!!! who wants it???
Laters D
That yellow Mera has been for sale even before I bought mine. I did not buy it for 3 reasons. 1. is the T-top, squeaks, rattles, and hard to find parts for. 2. the guy hasn't cleaned the engine in years (what red valve cover?) , and 3. because I really wanted an 88 instead of an 87. It is much lower priced now than when I was first looking at it. I do like yellow though........
That bumper is definitely flipped and shortened on the white over black 87 Mera. I like the look alot better!!
if i had a job that yellow 87 would be mine!!!!! dirt is an easy to clean, massive discount (lowball) reason to offer say.....$6-7000. providing the rest is good....if not. lower the ball rolls. plus it is a great excuse to GO WEST. i am just saying i could use some heat that the southwest gives up. again it was 27 degrees this morning......burrr. stupid economy needs to go up.....so i can gets that money. i got the big plans but no capital......horrible.
reguarding the bumper......Rick, do you think the bump has been flipped or just shortened??? without actually flipping the thing for "reality" (till this winter). i see to just shorten the mounts somehow (on the inside of bumper end, maybe) to swallow that inch or so of straight, no?? when to snow starts to fly continously up here, i plan to mess with this kind of stuff....Bumpers, wheels, tighten up some loose panel stuff. nothing to major. but as you all know a flood of pics will follow.....wonder if it would qualify for a "build" or "unbuild/rebuild" thread in the construction zone???
speaking of pictures........ hopefully the 1986 Mera shows up again to the 2011 Detroit AutoRama.....i will get thousands of pictures.....spend all day with it!! and pray for that one weekend of super early spring weather so i can get Mera X over there for a little reunion. jolly good!!
soooooo shiny......just got a bath.
top of the marning to ya......wood??? D

Look at the angle on the bottom of the bumper on the white over black Mera. It is the same angle normally on the top of the Mera bumper. I plan to pull mine later this month and see what is involved with flipping it. Not sure how it was shortened? It just may have had some of the back of bumper trimmed off and re-mounted.
I want my headlight covers to look just like that gray Mera. That same car is on Rodney site. I assume he just glassed in the front part of the stock cover. It has a Rodney bumper and has been nicely lowered.
[This message has been edited by Rick 88 (edited 11-09-2010).]
well without looking it up on the Net.....my first guess would be a Lotus of some kind......other than that.........NO SIR! i dont like it. way to flat. i like the angles but not just two. need something has potental....
the bumper if i remember looked to be 4 bolts.....maybe? i will give a look.
now that gas went over $3.09 here a few days ago i have been staying home.....sucks it has been real nice out. hell its almost 70....I GOTTA GO. later Dan
[This message has been edited by batousai666 (edited 11-09-2010).]
Dan, you should know this car. It was the predecessor to one of your favorites!
ok i looked it up.....Stratos??? noooooooo!!!!!!! well i guess ones got to start somewhere........
dig this brotha.......i thought i was gonna go for a cruise but NO ANOTHER FLAT!!! same tire too, dam.
while i was out there i snapped some bumper photos.....looks like 4 bollts each end. seems simple enough.
and some kind of telescopic multi hole set up..... thru bolted?? maybe this was a option all along?? right side
left side double bolted
^^^^^^ with this pic the little bit of straight i was refering to earlier is highlighted in white. with the red highlight would be the amount of straight if it were flipped. i would be afraid it may have to be cut.....no way, not me.
if that is indeed a Telescopic connection at them bolts seems like it's a simple and almost engineered kind of fix to achive the F-Car look hmmmmmmm

Sup Guys, sorry no pics yet....keep forgeting my dam camera. Couple of ggod news items, yes it appears the bumper is one of Rodney's..or whats left of it. The left side is cleanly broke off (dam Ivan), and previous owner snatched whole bottom off when towing it with a rope...(dumb$@*). So I have alot of fiberglass work to do. Did get engine running today but fuel pump needs replacing..thank god for a lift as I hear tank is under console. Going to paint shop Friday to see how much that Ferrari Racing Red is gonna set me back. Also does anyone have a line on the metal grill assembly on the deck lid or know where I can get one. Mine I found out today is broke (IIIVVVAAANNN!!!! DAM YOU). My buddy knows a guy that might be able to fix mine or possibly make me a new set, prefer OE if available. Long road ahead of me but I think it'll be fun and I really really can't wait to drive it. Dan as for the Camaro its a '92 25th Anniversary one off Z28. I bought 2 from auction a 25th Anniversary RS thats a t-top and 5 speed with 305 with good body (no trans), the other a 25th Anniversary Z28 with a 350TPI and automatic killed in passenger side. I stripped both and put all the Z28 wiring dash rearend all the good stuff into the RS, built a 383 and put a bunch of performance parts on it and slammed it in, been a great car love it, built it the way GM should've..lol. Now I'm strippin to stuff a 412 SB into it and start grudge racin it...so I'll have a nice powder coated red tune port setup that'll look sweet in a Mera..lol Maybe I'll start a build topic, there will be plenty to fill the pages. Oh yeah does anyone know what you actually get with Rodney's bumper? Do you just get the black bar with light housings or what.... I really like that blue Mera looks real good in that color...
CAM, rodneys bumper is just the fiberglass part, no lenses. as far as sbc mera's nelson has a 383 sbc mera, and i also have a 383 sbc mera going together. thanks, mike in oklahoma
MAN! you guys are making me want to turn tricks or something......i wanna go fast. Nice set up in the Camaro actually any swap i get is more for reliabality, low to no miles. 300 HP is a bit much even?? i want a road race car....not just straight. i need/want the confidence to tackle long road trips to awesome destinations (race tracks!). lets see i would come see all y'all, too. OK, TX, AZ, CA, FL, SC.....GOOD TIMES!! oh yeah and NV the Silver State Run! unlimited class!!! maybe i got something to sell. comics? hmmm......
Cam383....as far as the Engine grille....i think i have something about a replacement from V8 Archie, again i think? i will check.
Mike, your bumper, do you have the 308 lenses?? if my dreams come true i should start collecting replacement parts

Most likely this Mera had the OEM Fiero Rims (painted silver) when sold to the first owner. Or possibly some aftermarket rims.

Hardly. My bumper kit is complete except for the lenses. I make the lens bodies out of billet aluminum. Kit includes the driving lights, aluminum grill and all the brackets and hardware needed. All you have to buy is the reproduction lenses. My kit is top quality. Ask anyone that has bought it.
