Can't say for sure since I'm not the original owner. It kinda/sorta looks original, but I suppose anyone could fabricate it. But now I wonder...if whoever put this bracket on, needed for some reason to remove the two-slat original grill that I lacked. The Mera bumper and grill that I recently purchased off e-bay is still in the shipping box, I never had a chance to open it. I'll have to check that out.

*EDIT* looks like its my lucky day.....OWNER! pg.55

Thanks for the pictures of your front plate and bracket. I think I can make a bracket like that for mine. Have you had any overheating issues with the plate mounted where it is?
There are two things different on your car from mine besides the grill. My parking lights seem more rectangular than yours and my front air dam at the bottom of the grill opening is painted a satin black instead of red. Since my car is #8011 is this paint treatment a carry over from 1987 production Mera's?
Well that is dang interesting! I always thought my front signal lights looked more like those clearance lights you can buy at Checker. I can see the difference. Are your front turn signals the same housing and lenses off a regular Fiero?? They look like the same size and the screws look like they are mounted the same. Interesting. And the gap above the bumper is interesting too. I know my car came from the Big Island, so maybe it had a close encounter with some lava rocks on the road or something. That would explain no two-slat grill when I bought it, different signal lights, and (maybe) re-painted spoiler to match the rest of the car. These items may have been damaged at some point in time. Maybe.
Can you guys pls posts pics of your front ends, for reference purposes? I need to check this out.

one of these days i am going to start to look for junkyards around me for these kind of things..... the Fiero stuff we have that may need replacing in the future......these low hanging signals are a perfect example....

now offering NEW KEVLAR SACHS clutch discs to the mera and fiero community. will hold stock engines and last forever or up to 500hp and around 470tq v8 or turbo/supercharged engines. these are new sachs german clutches that i full face kevlar. they release just like a stock clutch, last twice as long as a stock clutch, and take lots of abuse. we have been using them in our porsche and ferrari race cars for years with no problems. 255.00 shipped takes about 2wks. if interested send me a pm. thanks, mike in oklahoma.
"Sony has announced the full GT 5's car list. It consists of 10000 cars. At launch it will only have 340 cars while the others will be developed in the future. Polyphony Digital will also develop cars for individual clients."
"That means in the future we could have any car put into the game for a special price. Of course the damage model will be not present in GT5. Below we are attaching the nearly official carlist of GT5."

Tommy,
Here are some pics of 8046--note the chin soffit/valance, don't know when that was installed. Keep in mind our cars are sisters--well, except for 8045 who obviously got in with the wrong crowd!

Actually the "soil" around here is made up of mostly large rocks, although White Sands Missile Range is about 45 miles north. It is a very large area with big dunes made of gypsum. (Think of the Sahara, just bright white.) Pretty cool actually. You can go "Sand Surfing" on the dunes.
We do get snow on occasion. Sometimes quite a bit. It usualy does not last more than a couple of days. That's good because no one here know how to drive in the snow.

Check out page 2 of this thread and look at the mirrors on the orange Fiero posted by Madcurl. Anyone know what kind of car these mirrors came from? They look like a possible replacement for our Vitaloni's.
naw i just posted out of boredom. does it sound loud? maybe like missing the catalytic convert? i see one, but it may be hallow. its tied with a wire. 1st indication of a "gutting" so i've read.
back last year i tried to sawzall a "pie piece" cut in my exhaust pipe before the muffler. you know like a pipe organ. maybe to "tune" it alittle. well with the fatigue and stress of driving, foot to floor for a season, it finally broke. i think it sounds good......any of you got an exhaust vid? MIKE? just curious as to what it should sound like. arent the Meras Just Fiero OEM mufflers to start?
My 3.4 is running thru the stock Fiero muffler and C6 exhaust tips. The only other exhaust mods are a high flow cat and ported stock exhaust manifolds. I think it is a little louder that the original 2.8. My engine is a little higher compression than stock as well. One of these days I need to learn how to post some video's
Eventually, I want to duplicate the "Taiwan Exhaust System" It really sounds like a Ferrari with this system
I love Taiwan! Flew many missions out of Ching Chuang Kang (Tai Chung) during the war. The people are wonderful, the Taiwanese and the Chinese, they really made us Americans feel like they wanted us there.
I was a radar maintenance weenie as a kid in the Air Force, sure would have liked to have been with you visiting those sites! Also, did an interoperability OpEval in Korea in 1999 tying all the radars on the peninsula together--Korean and American. I'm jealous!
Are these the same Fiero guys that built the 180* headers?
Dick, these guys know the guy with the 180 degree pipes. I just did not have the time to hook up with him.
Taiwan is simply awesome! Crowded, but the people are friendly, and THE BEST Chinese food ever. I went up Yummi Mountain (I think that is the spelling, or at least how it sounds), and saw some housing that looked exactly like the old military housing on Pearl Harbor. They have some really nice homes going up that way. Had lunch at The Back Room restaurant, awesome view of Taipei (although it was hazy). The government is very proactive in keeping Taipei clean of pollution, so you will not see any smoking buses or scooters. The air was very clean.
And speaking of scooters, check this out! And this is just one parking lot...more scooters than the eye can see...must be hundreds in this parking lot alone. Most of the scooters here are the larger and more powerful versions, about 100-125cc. They can really zip around traffic.
WELCOME BACK TOMMY!!! man i wish i could hang with you......all international and the lot. nice hotels good people and sweet cars.
that would be so cool to go to ao different country and still feel at home. them boys throw hard with them replicas.....real nice indeed. those are done right!!! is it me or am i early????
Daniel
