Several strange things: One, the gills at the back. Two the euro plate yet he is in the USA? Three, on one shot it has post mounted gauges, on the next their gone? Four, shock tower mounts different. Five, hood (over engine) looks strange as well
Hay Dan, get his number, if he has one, I sure don't see it.
For Wayne..... they were not cooperating very well.....i fixed that.
ohhh what are these???
ok these are the 2nd aluminum angles i have seen on the 1988's and they are almost half of the length of mine. may be a cost cutting measure....after the line got up and running after the "1987 test run" if you will.
nice! wonder if you have the Mera emblem under that little horsey??
sorry it took so long.

I hope this helps with your search of "All Things Mera" Dan. I still have to move things around in back, I still get the ambers lighting up when I apply the brakes?

Wayne, I assume these are pics of your car. My taillight housings are the same design but function properly. Perhaps it is a diffenence in the wiring from the original GT, and Formula harness. The GT's have separate amber turn signals to begin with, where the Formula's are tied into the brake lights. I don't recall having any wiring with wire nuts in my harness.
I do have the same short L shaped brackets that hold the panel cover on. Do you still have the original ignition wires? Mine looked good but were breaking down internally, so I replaced them with some red MSD wires. It really made a difference in idle smoothness and rpm range.

I don't know much about the car Rick, or what has been changed or not. March will mark one year that I have owned it, so like everyone here I am still trying to figure the car out.

Well thats what we are here for. If you need me to trace my wires, I will be glad to, as soon as my fingers thaw out.
Its really getting nuts up here! Snow n' Blow, maybe 8 in on the ground and another 12 coming???? The worst by far is the wind, at times you can not see 50 yards-nasty!
Warm thoughts: Did I read this right, that there is a twin turbo set-up for the 2.8? If so how many pony's is it putting out and whats something like that cost?
The guy to talk to on turbos here in Pennocks is Dennis La Grua. He has installed turbos on 2.8's and 3.4's. I don't think twin turbos are necessary since the motor is not that large.
"Design One" may still offer a turbo kit, but it is dated in design and expensive. Nelson can tell you about his turbo 3.4 Mera as well. I am not sure if his was a kit or custom built. I was considering a turbo but I am very happy with my naturally aspirated 3.4 swap. It is much more responsive than the original 2.8. If I added a turbo my license might be at stake.
the 2.8 would not support a twin turbo setup very long. the 2.8 was never designed to spin at high rpm's. not a performance derived engine. you would be better going larger displacement for more power. can someone say ls3?
About an inch and a half of snow. 8 degrees with below zero wind chill. Up to 50 mph gusts and lots of ice! Fiero stays home today. I will trade more snow for less ice anytime........
This is NOT west Texas weather!

It' snowing again, but we have made it up to 9 degrees! Tonights forcast has been revised to a low of 2 (two) (dos) degrees.
No Mastadon's, but I think I saw Sasquatch.
No Mastadons? You haven't met some of the women from "up-north," Wisconsin!!! Say Tex, you folks aren't really set-up for this kind of weather are ya? Have there been a lot of accidents on your roads? Up here we just get stuck in the snow, order a pizza, crack open some brewskis, pull the blanket and space heater out of the trunk, and wait until it melts, say May.
Really like your driving lights. Was thinking the other day that I'd like to have some to use as day/dusk/stormy lights. Did you install? Are they connected to your parking light circuit? Looks like you located them where the parking lights were before you installed the Rodney bumper. I was thinking about mounting them on the black body panel below where yours are located.
Something like this:
Anyone else installed driving lights?
Dick

The driving lights are part of the Rodney kit as I recall. They way you have them pictured on you car looks nice also. I was thinking of mounting some behind the grill. There seems to be quite a bit of space to do it there.

We actually have a driving curfew tonight by 10pm. El Paso is unprepared for this kind of cold. There have been rolling blackouts because our power stations have been overburdened. I can't count the number of accidents and that was with most of El Paso shut down. We may hit zero tonight with well below zero wind chill. The city is asking for all non essential business to remain closed tomorrow. I didn't go in to work today and tomorrow may be the same. Panama sounds really nice right now...........

My 87 looks completely stock except for the turbo and Truelo intake. I could revert to stock very quickly if required since the 3.4 looks virtually identical to the 2.8.
and as for Nelson...."looks" is the operative word you still got the org. engine? but you two are most likely the closest. Indy in the lead, so far. Mike, sure its your story.
