he aint lied to me yet....so when/if he does i will introduce him to the 3 6's in my screenname. so you ALL know i still chat with ole Mike from time to time.
Be careful with a guy like that. Must be hard to be friends with someone like that. They will hate you if you call them a liar yet if you let them think you believe what they are saying so they don't get mad at you they will keep piling it on.
The wife and I took the Mera on a cruise to Old Mesilla today with a large group of cars from the Local Corvette, Mopar, Early Times, and Rio Grand Wheels Muscle Car clubs. We got many compliments on, and questions about, the Mera. Most people had never heard of these cars being produced.
There were a lot of great cars there. The most interesting one was a stock appearing British Racing Green Sunbeam Tiger. It had an intercooled twin turbo V8! The owner had time slips showing the car was in the 9's at this altitude which is 3500 feet at its lowest. You can see a picture of it at the bottom of page 7 or the "El Paso Fiero Fest" thread.

say what!? i call Mike a Liar all the time...its an inside joke we have and "friends" is a relative term to someone i have NOT met in person....so, its no skin off my ass till he stifs me.
first off "MR LIAR" (Mike) did NOT lie to me. he sent me what i paid for plus some....now i thought the shipping was a bit high Before he added the 4 brake calipers (that were not part of the deal) free of charge, but the shipping stayed the same also, huh? to me, thats called hooking a brotha up! so i do not care what Mike is to you, cuz hes gold in my book.
that may be his ploy. to get the court jester on his side to topple the KING. hahahahaaaa........or NOT!

Here kitty, nice kitty. That is the meanest looking turbo I've ever seen! Looks like it should be on a P-51 Merlin--oops, guess they were supercharged.
i think, unless an un-named OK Mera owner sends me his from #7071 i have an idea to undersize some tube stock and try to Arc weld the in side to the flat bracket embedded in the bumper then thru bolt to the other end of the old bracket then bolt back on
thats a quick fix......still pondering the permanent solution......

That little Sunbeam parked next to us when we got to Old Mesilla. My wife said, "That can't be that little car making all that noise." He showed me time slips for the quarter here in El Paso in the 9's! With everything closed it looked like a stock tiger with a nice set of Minilites.

uh oh? guess who got a call to go back to work?? FINALLY!! <-----that guy!!!!
hope its long enough to get that fast Fiero for sale in the mall
boy oh boy.....Boss said something about only a Months worth of work but they always say its a Month then it turns into 3 months with tons of O.T. YIPPIE!!
doubt in a Month i can get that Prototype kind of money but i will sure try!!! life is good once again........
it would keep my mits off Mera X these car shows are killing me. half of the people say keep it stock and the other say "but you want to go fast" ....which is true! so i got to compremise somewhere....and that car above is it for now
so this Fiero will do the trick and help with my need for speed but, if something cheaper and as powerful (take a 100 ponies, even) comes along then its a done deal....GingerMan raceway here i come the full drivers traning and membership. the whole enchilada.....
That is so wrong....using a Solstice to make a Gallardo kit. The Fiero would be the natural choice for this kind of swap. I could see a Solstice being made into a 60's Cheetah race car clone since it already looks kind of like one.

the funniest thing i read besides the bosses fitting list at work today......bloody ridiculious!
a front engine LAMBO!? NOT!! and what did they mean by the "sicissor door solution?".
Real Gallardos do not have sicissor doors, not even the Supperleggera. i know, i have ridden in one sorry but it has changed me........POWER!!!!!! and grace man, i wanna do that again!

Nice event, but too far away for this desert rat........ Take lots of pictures!
i was think the same but you all know i have to try OR it may not be the same but without your car would be easier (AirPlane) and all who attend get to meet each other.
...and no doubt i would (snap, snap) for you and those who cant make it with that new camera i got and the 4GB SD card, i get over 600 pics with that. then just swap the other one i have and bamm!! 1200+ Photographs......that will do, eh??
just a thought.......and if i can get #6001 there, now that it would blow this thru the roof......
the MI born/breed Fiero and the Mera connection is cool too....actually i heard that the Mera factory is sill there i am gonna check on that.....that is a "must see destination" in the least.......... off the check.....i do have CorporateConcepts address google earth here i come.....away!!

you know i was wondering if the cars were labeled as they were made chonologicaly or if they just slapped a sticker on the color car ordered or what?? with the Fiero Options and the Mera Options availbale it seems it would be real specific, how they were numbered but thats too hard to wrap my head around with consideration payed to the VIN number sequence and availabillity of the custom optioned Fiero andeventuallly the finished Mera......
hey Rick?? do we know of a Difference in the GT Mera from a Formula Mera in the 1988 ones??
i have a new quest to find some more of the rumored SE 1987 Mera....i got a two tone interior and have questions as to the other two tone mera out there. now i know theres brown and tan combos with the beechwood Fiero Interior but i got Black and Grey.....real different from what i thought i see in the 1988.....,maybe not but its my new staring contest i am having with "my Mera Photos" folder this week what do you think......yea or nay?? actually i may have 2 shades of grey and black......i forget. need food....ugggggghhhh
i still got some staring to do but i want your take....all your takes, sound off

hey Rick?? do we know of a Difference in the GT Mera from a Formula Mera in the 1988 ones??
Well besides the VIN number showing the model difference, the 88 GT would come with the GT leather covered three spoke steering wheel instead of the 4 spoke Formula wheel. It also got the leather covered shift knob vs the plastic piece. You could also get the optional factory leather seating on the GT (like my car has) unlike the Formula which came only with cloth. In addition the GT was available with Performance Sound (subwoofer) while the Formula was not. The GT offered power mirrors which were not available on the Formula. (The Vitaloni's) took care of that. The GT came standard with power windows and locks, which were optional on the Formula. I can't remember if cruise was standard on the GT, but I know it was optional on the Formula. That's all I can think of right now.......
cool i gots me a start to divine from the differences i find.....thank you.
and Yes that/this is the first time in this thread i have actually gone after the 1988 Mera only. thats a change....now that i got the 1987's going at a good clip......someone has to do it. i want pictures of that New Mera Leather interior that was introduced in 1988.
we got the tuck and roll in the Mera what is considered the New design as per that letter that was sent to that dealer?
Along those same lines, were the T-Top MERAs CJB coded for 88?
my guess wqould be "yes'....cuz it was a Fiero first all optioned up T-top included, then shipped to CC....but would it have to be shipped to the T-Top place then to CC? thats a lot of shippen....plus the after market install has a weird story to it does it not??
good question Johny.....it would be on a RPO sheet on any of yours out there with tops....a GT Mera with CJB installed T-Tops. whoa!! how rare would that be???
crieky

If the car was ordered from the factory with t-tops it will have the CJB code. If the car was sent by the dealer to Component & Concepts (C&C) for a dealer option t-top there will be no CJB code. The dealer option t-top add will only show on the dealer invoice.
The Formulas had no remote trunk latch--I think. That should be obvious in interior pics.
Good catch, I missed that one. All Mera's could get leather installed by CC. However it was different than the factory Pontiac leather in my car. With the CC leather the carpeting was changed to cut pile as I recall. The 87 Mera here in El Paso has the CC tan leather interior in it. The seats look similar to Dan's and the console and door panels resemble Tom's interior.
On the CJB T-Top's the is a yellow 87 with gold crosslace wheels that has been for sale quite a while in California. It appears to be a CJB car. Could you get a CJB in 87 or just in 88? If the guy would clean his engine he might actually sell it..........
I think you guys in here know more about Meras than most people who worked on building the original ones. The amount of detail you get into is amazing.

thats the one.....i was wondering if the CJB's were reflected in the RPO.....so this post seems to say that it "could" be on a Mera but it needs to be ciphered, still. that would be a cool little bit of info to add if it turns out to be fact. i like this line of inquiry. maybe another little thing and a SUPER RARE one at that......the most maybe in its class. may trump the 6 GT based, current champ and title holder!!
if it was on the RPO then it would reflect with the Mera on that sheet under the bonnet. i hope its there. that may be a cool selling point should one want to sell....."one of one of six" a CJB T-Top, 1988 Mera GT.......schwing!! thanks for the info guys. good show.

to us here anyway wonder what the next bombshell will be....???
we shall see.........................................................................
