I am going to say one last thing about the swap and then I am shutting up. This is going to sound harsh because I don't sugarcoat things. It's who I am.
We have all said we stand behind Tyler no matter what he decides to do with his car. If he decides to push it off a cliff, we will be there to help him push. It's his car, even if we are a big part of it as well. With that said, if that swap turns out looking anything like the spaghetti wired mess that was in that engine bay of the 3.4 Tyler rode in, we are going to have a serious problem. So to the ones doing the swap, a word of advice. DO IT RIGHT. I personally don't want to hear two weeks after the swap starts, that the car isn't running, or isn't running flawless. This is not to discount the donations that the people doing the swap are making, it just better not look anything like the engine bay of that other 3.4.
SWAPS ARE NEVER STRAIGHTFORWARD and easy. If this car ends up screwed, I seriously doubt we will be able to generate the support to fix it up again.
This is solely my opinion, and has a +/- 100% chance of being right or wrong. This is only being blatantly honest.
That's all I have to say about it. I hope this works out in your favor, Tyler.

Andy, I share your concerns. I can say the swap will be better. I helped with pulling the parts off of the donor car. Stuart, Mike, and I spent a few hours with the 3.4 Fiero on a hoist. We reviewed the good and bad things of that swap and made a plan for Tyler's car. Mike had very good input on the exhaust and engine mounts. The wiring will be done in the engine compartment and using a Grand Prix engine harness. The dog bone will be gone, so the trunklid should not have to be cut. The exhaust will be in the stock locations. Mike was going to get the cradle modified, powder coated, and poly mounted. I belive Stuart and Mike will make a good job of it. -Tim
Chris, I know you are busy, but is there a way we can get the donation list updated? I don't want it to fall by the wayside and I can help you if you would like.
This is what many of use want to see the the engine swap look like when it's done in Tyler's car..maybe have the intake paint body color. ..This was done by DarthFiero..Check out his site for full build on this car www.gmtuners.com/Customer/3.4DOHCFiero/index.htm
In the last picture there is a dogbone and the deck lid is not cut.
That DOHC Intake Manifold and Valve Covers is another example of my work. I wish to never do one of those again. It took me over 200 hours to get that junk casting flat enough to put show quality shiny paint on. I guess that is why GM put the wrinkle finish on them to hide the imperfections.

You truly are an artist, Fred. I don't know if you hear that alot, but if you do, it's still not enough.
Got a tranny that is all yours for the swap, if someone can find a way to get it out there its yours. I would pay for shipping but I just lost my job and I am the only source of income for a family of 6. Tranny is a 4T60-E from a 1994 W-body car, differential ratio - 3.06, sprocket ratio - 35/35, overall ratio 3.06, VSS reluctor - 31, stall speed 1897. I am willing to travel up to 80 miles to drop it off to someone, if others are willing to do the same we can get it out to Tyler.

Can you get a ballpark figure on shipping costs from your town to Frazee? You would probably have to palletize and/or crate it for someone like Central Freight to haul it.
