Did a mileage check this morning and got 27.2 MPG on the freeway for 300 miles running between 70 and 80, which keeps the RPM s under 2000 with the six speed. I did the upgrade to the LS3 to make the car more driveable and am very satisfied with the results
I'll get a few pics to Curley (no other choptops made an appearance) to post over the next few days.

Found out today that the car made it into Pontiac Enthusiast magazine in the coverage of the GM Nationals at Carlisle
They had a typo and downgraded me to an LS1

What I can see of the chrome looks like an old Buick 8 or possibly a mercury but I'm guessing its something a little more obscure. ~Tyler

Latest update - got my hood reinstalled today after getting a friend who woks at a bodyshop to duplicate the hoodscoop on Skitimes car - that's been my favorite hood on Pennocks since I saw it several years ago. It's also functional and vents the nose to keep the headlight doors down at high speed - we'll have to see how it works in the real world this summer
The car is scheduled to go to OUTLAWS Rod and Custom next week for a paint job - so far it will be the only Choptop wearing the color I've chosen. I'll send Archie and Curly pics to post when it's done.
