Hey all. sorry for my absence as of late been riddled with work / fiero work/ fiance work/ house work... etc etc haha... Almost have the Fiero running good though
cool cruise soon!!!! Hey I am still having cooling issues w the gt I cant figure it out i replaced the temp sensor and the fan relay and still fan dosent kick in and car overheats! help the fan comes on if i ground out the one wire lead on engine sensor what gives can the intake isolate its ground somehow? dosent the sensor use its own body as the ground and when hot close the circut???
Try the paperclip trick but instead ground it to the shell of the sensor to see if your switch body is properly grounded. If it is look for possible air still in the system.
Well guys a big fire burns out fast and me and mari are no more this sucks but things from her past seem to have been too much for her to bring forward into a new relationship and well it made it impossible for her to continue that and the fact my crazy ex gf was harassin her on facebook anyway back to single I guess on another note I am convinced the overheating issue with my fiero wasent overheating and more the guage itself is not working right, the fan kicks in it i let the car overheat acording to the guage so tomorrow if its not raining ill lazer test it at work and if the guage is off ill make a potentiomiter to adjust its voltage like I had to do for the 66 vette I built, my boss reminded me today I had to do that I totally forgot about it the guages in his vette were 30 degrees off too untill I added the pot. on yet another note I damn near killed myself in the gt tonite coming home from work, the on ramp to 41 from 55 was wet and when I got on it I spun out a complete 360 spin with traffic behind me I was goin a whoppin 45 when it happend but I recoverd it before sliding off side of ramp still scared the crap outa me tho I dont want to do that again! damn rain!

hey Rob I stopped by your place today and put that 87 owners manual on top of the drivers front tire of the Fiero in front of your van. Talk to you later
damn missed ya I was over at ramsprides house after work should have called me as u noticed the gt was gone I was out driving it! thanks for the owners manual!!!!
Oh ya forgot to report on my overheating issue turns out my hunch was right the gauge is indeed off alot seems to be 30 degrees off but changes and i noticed today the needle dosent even go back to its home position anymore grrr guess ill have to grab a new gauge from bone yard! hey steve bring your timing light sat!
Ok so cool little thing I just went to the mc donalds by my house here and who of all people pull in right behind me in his brand new ferarri stagletta ol john bergstrom! so when we got threw drive threw he pulled up next to me and said hi love the gt! (my dad knows him so not wierd they were school buddys) I think it was cool the guy w a bucuo expensive ferarri loved the fiero!
So hey me steve and rams spotted a new fiero in town it was as goldish one with temp plates parked just around the corner from my house on appleton street anybody know who it is?
those doors that were on the car were gutted remember all they have left in them is the glass but yup I have them im trying to figure out how to get the stickers off them so i have the identification for that car in it were it belongs when I rebuilt the car it got all power options put back in it so I never had crank windows gibsons has 12 fieros w crank doors they are all in good shape two of them are 88's ill help ya grab them if ya need but gibbys will pull the doors for ya for a small fee if ya want hows the door thing goin anyway? if your going to crank windows and aftermarkey mirrors do ya want to get rid of your window/mirror switches and plate?
ya i never had manual cranks the doors that were on the gt were gutted and my new doors i got from steve are power but out at gibsons they have plenty of window crank doors id bet they would cut out some for ya being me and rams saw a fiero they already did it too or id go out their with a hole cutter and drill around the rivits and grab them that way i bet it would be a quick project that way.
Hey since im on here and wallys crushed the door panels I wanted and my dreams lol anybody have a set of gt door panels for a car with power mirrors and windows basically I want panels with no holes and the map pockets
chris if your gettin rid of the power stuff id be totally intrested in the switches and plate i love my grand prix upgrade but it would be cool to have a original one

Hey there, I'm new to the group and to PFF. I'm glad there are Fiero peeps around my hometown. I'm from Oshkosh. I just bought my 86 GT when home on leave. My friends in Oshkosh are stuffing a 383 SBC in my GT while I'm deployed. Maybe when I get home I'll buy y'all a beer...mmm beer
Here is my ride as i left it when returned to Afghanistan.

Hello Jake, Thanks for all you do for us and welcome to the forum! Are your friends into fieros as well? I'm sure we would all like to see the progress on your car, and possibly lend them a hand with the swap if needed. I have a completed 350 chevy small block swap in my 88, but right now I'm playing with various body mods to complete the 3 inch choptop to finish it off. If your friends have any questions about stuffing a small block in there let us know.
When you're over in Afganistan duck alot and come home safe
