A Facebook page would be a good idea. On another note, I need to know when I should start to worry? Ok, 3 weeks ago I my friends ordered different headers for my swap. They ordered Sanderson headers. They were told they would be there in a week. It is now over 3 weeks. They called the vendor and were told they were backordered. How long do I wait til I get involved? I am bankrolling this project, and the guys are ordering. I don't think my friends are ripping me off. Besides they know I'm a trained killa. On the same line, I ordered those damn hubs from West Coast Fiero. They are almost a week late. I called the dude, same story they are back ordered. Anyone have any experiance with West Coast or Sanderson?
Well guys, Jetsnvettes2000 came up today and he laid down 2 coats of black metallic and 2 coats of clear! It looks awesome!! Now to assemble VEEEEEEERRRRRYYYYYY carefully.
Hey Rob, I'm thinking I'm going to take your advice and make my own front bumper cover out of fiberglass. I'm looking for some advice on setting up a mold and what I'll be needing to do. I've never made a mold but I have worked with fiberglass before. any help/advice would be appreciated
I checked all over Craigslist. I found one for 600 it is in northern wi. It had pics and looked pretty rough though. It is also a very old ad early sept. so it is prolly gone. but here is the link. Sorry i wanst more help, but my resources are limited...lol

yup no prob what you need to do is make your plug first basically the mockup front bumper it can be made of anything and dosent have to hold together verry well it just has to last long enough for the resin to dry and it has to be flawlessly smooth or your new piece will be not so great, basically make your bumper and then paint it and wetsand it and polish it then get a few cans of spray on mold release I have some u can have and spray it all over it then just spray on a few coats of gelcoat or resin and then start layin fiberglass cloth and resin all over it and when it drys use a airblower to separate the mold from the plug and wash the mold out w soap and water and look it over u will also need to add stiffner boards to the back of it so it dosent distort. then now it the tricky part making the bumper from it u need to spray in some moire mold release and then spray in a thick coat of gelcoat and then start layin up the fiberglass id use a combo of chop glass and mat to get into all the little cracks and folds u will prob go thru 4 to five gallons of resin thru this projecy but will have a mold that can be used many times after their is cheaper easier ways to do it but i woulnt cut corners or in long run u will have a bumper that cracks and fails over time make the glass at least 3/16 thick.
Hello Rob, that paint looks awesome! I want black as well but no metallic for me. From those pics it looks to be glass smooth, very nice work. If you can help me with the prep and spray that would be great. This Friday I'm going to Wallys I think to get a bcm for my Grand Am GT, I want to have the keyless remote feature and my car didn't come with that so I need a different controller. I'm also thinking of getting ready to put the lowering springs and perches on the black bmw before it gets put away for the winter. I also want to start messing with the upper rear quarters on the choptop to line them back up with the raised beltline door panels. I'm also thinking of making the top half of the door panels out of fiberglass as well. I have too many projects right now, and not enough time. How's your gt coming along?

Sorry Rob they are gone. They've done ALOT of shuffling/clearing out since the Fiero was in there. I wasn't able to find the bcm I was looking for but I did find all I need to add the later model electronic cruise control to my car, no vacuum cans for me. I had an injury at work so I was unable to play with my car though so no progress there

Well today I got the door panels on, the front fenders and nose. I also painted the rest of the trim and marker lights. The other night I installed the rear bumper and tail lights. Waiting till I get some help to install the hood and deck lid. It is looking real nice! I will take some pics tomorrow.

Steve
hey thought u were busy today! I would have come up and helped finish her up whatcha got going on tomorrow?
OK, I got an update from my friends...the fiero has a motor installed. They sent me video of the break in on the engine stand. He emailed me that the engine is now installed. they are awaiting exhaust and braided lines. They did have an issue with Archie's balancer but it was minor and all fixed. I guess it needed a spacer. The video is awsome. If i get a chance i'll post it on youtube and paste the link. I'm stoked. They figured a week or 2 and it will be driving. Then off to paint. They said they are going to send me more pics soon plus a video of the first start up in the car and a burnout. I can't wait. Oh and the thread needed a bump anyway.
cool, glad to see another club car gettin on the road soon we will have more running than not for a change!! steve has his almost together now, mine has been on road, and chris is gettin closer too hmmm cool beans!!! time for a cruise before snow flys!
