Why so sad? Im the only one allowed to be sad... Dean gave me my final bill on Friday. Lets just say.. we need to figure out why its the number that it is. WOW.
Glad to see I am not the only one that moves at a turtles pace when doing a 3800SC install. But of course swapping is only a part time job in between my full time job but I guess my price for labor makes up for the time it takes me. Plus the end product is always well worth the wait......
Thanks for the link on the FieroX built car. That is exactly how we should proceed. Except add a full stack w2a in the mix. + for being very helpful and giving a way to show Dean pretty much what I had visualized but couldnt quite convey.
U guys are NOT paying attention....

I can appreciate your point of view but to me, a car is a blank piece of paper waiting to be created to suit the owners personal tastes. Now if this was some uber rare car like a 65 Z11 Chevelle or a 67 Nova 327 SS, then yeah, I'd be crazy to mod it................ maybe!
I think this guy beat you to it by a lot of miles.
Originally posted by BV MotorSports: I dont believe you need a spacer if you have the correct flywheel height. Dean uses his own custom machined ones vs the SPEC flywheels. I really didnt pay much attention to what he said was the issue and solution. Sorry Dean!
Because of my stock style pressure plate, I needed a spacer for my 3800/F23, which was .25 inches thick. I was using the usual flywheel thickness of .840 inches as well. If the flywheel was thicker the pressure plate would hit the inside of the F23's case. The SPEC pressure plate I wanted to use actually hit the inside of the F23's case pretty bad as is and I decided against using it.

I am curious to see how this turns out. Apparently Dean had the heads flow-benched and they put out some silly high numbers. This build has been a learning experience. Deans 38T swaps can only get better on the next one and so on and so on.
Yeah, I'm a good copy Katt. I do like the Turbo 3800 F23 manual 88 Fiero GT combo with NO frame cutting...
Fingers cross my baby will fire up by Monday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I am getting REALLY excited. We need to make a poll on what she is gonna make on the Dyno. Post your best guess below!
