Did they really make the fiero a convertible from the factory? I've seen them done but it's an aftermarket kind of thing. If this is stock, that's gotta be pretty rare.

Pretty sure they didn't other than some prototype roadsters. My favorite aftermarket convertible is the Automoda fastback.

I went and looked at this one. Not as nice as the pictures show but not bad. A lot of aftermarket work that was not done very well. Headlight motors run all the time and will not go up even manually. Wires running all over the place with cut and spliced wires going who knows where. I offered $2600 and they countered with $4500. I walked away. I don't need another car that has a many question needing answered as this one.

Buyer beware, I suppose. It looked like a nicely modified car from the pictures. I actually should've listed the mileage as 103,000. Oops.

What was most surprising based on the pictures was the paint. It had been repainted and they did a very good job at the time. The issue was that someone had run the front end into something and the nose paint was all cracked. Also the hood had not been finished correctly and a very large spot had worn right down to the primer. When you look closely all over the car you could see where they had not prep well and just painted over bad spots. All of those spots were small and not a big deal in of themselves. The pictures made it look like the car was a number 2 or maybe even a 1 on the outside but in fact I would only rate it a very high 3 with the hood being a solid 1.
