I'm still working on the 87 Registry Database. I'm closing in on 700 cars so far, but I know there has to be far more then that out there.
Looking for ... VIN Door build date Color - ext and int Auto/Manual Options Current location Any special note
Even if the car has been destroyed or found in a salvage yard and you have any of the data on it I want to add it also.
Also ...
If there is anyone here who worked at the factory, can you confirm a trend I have found? It looks like that for weeks at a time they painted every car the same color. Also it looks like they may have made the 2 different body styles in batches. It's hard to make general statements based on so few cars but both of these trends are what I see based on the data I've got.
PS - I did find a note that implied that the cars were done in groups of 64(?) but I have lost the source of that information.

Do you have a link to your list available? I can't remember if I've given you info on my '87 yet.
Brad
No - it's just a spreadsheet I have. Let me know the last 6 of your VIN and I can let you know if I have the data. ( or just resend and I will add it in if I don't have it)

I'm up to over 690 car so far. This is a very small number. Some of the cars I've gotten information from 2 or 3 different places over the last year or so.
This '87 was made in August '86. I bought it from a guy in Quebec who had bought it as a parts car. He sold many exterior & interior parts before I got it. Since then, the roof & sunroof went to a friend; I refurbished & sold the wheels; seat belt receiver; console & some hardware. The driver's side carpet, passenger's side rocker cover, trunk light & power release went into my 118,000km '86; the 96,000km engine to follow... The sail panels went onto my 361,000km '84 SE, & the low tone horn went onto my 21,000km '88 Formula.
heres mine 87 aero se 4cyl 1g2pf11r6hp237941 build date 04/87 the factory maroonish color with grey interior and black gt wing sunroof no options no a/c rochester ny

for vin 218742 Nov of 86 would be correct. It's hard to tell with just the few numbers I have but it would have been the first part of November more then likely.
Not sure if I have forwarded my info before, but here it is:
VIN: 1G2PG1194HP200738 Door Build Date: Don't have that info next to me at the moment, but I will grab it for you later. Color: Purple exterior/ Gray interior Transmission: Manual, Getrag 5spd Options: AC, Factory Sunroof, ?? Current location: During my ownership, the car has lived in Cincinnati, OH (bought it there), San Diego, CA, and currently resides in Honolulu, HI, but will be moving to Brookings, SD within a month. Special notes: Current configuration is as follows, 3.4L SFI mated to a freshly rebuilt Getrag with an LSD, Rodney Dickman Ultimate shift kit, and Berretta gearset. Most of the stock 3.4 hardware was kept such as intake and DIS. Brakes have been upgraded to larger slotted discs and pistons, larger master cylinder and S10 banjo upgrade. The chassis now consists of polly bushings all around and slightly firmer shocks. Rest of the body is stock. Interior is mostly stock as well, except for a modern AM/FM head unit with CD player/MP3 input and '84 Fiero seats with factory headrest speakers.
