Step 1: Go to Google Step 2: Search: dealer autocheck inurl:vin Step 3: Look for a very recent result with some sort of car dealership affiliation such as: http://moonhonda.com/invent...toc...FF28BX9D208011 (http://moonhonda.com/inventory/autoc...FF28BX9D208011) Step 4: Replace the VIN at the end of the link with yours & hit enter.
Thanks for the vin check - mine turned up 0 results as I think it was directly imported to the netherlands from manufacture.

Thanks works for me here is some of what I found ( allso posted in my 87 base cleanup ) thought it was interesting. I had never seen a report on my car and had always wanted to know what it had gone through in the past. any way the car was built in Jan 87 by the sticker in the door but since then. It shows no accidents so that is good . A year by year break down shows some interisting things Indianaplolis, In 87 - 89 nothing , no title ,no registration , nothing 5/1990 title, no registration odometer reading 49,000 miles ( I am thinking the dealer had a plate on it and drove it.) 6/1990 title , no registration 91-95 nothing 10/1996 registration 10/97 registtration 10/98 registration 10/99 registration 2000-2003 nothing 10/04 title , registration 2005-06 nothing 6/2007 title registration Greenwood , in 6/07 new title no registration 3/08 registration I bought the car 5/2008 title registration Kendallville registration in 09-10-12-13 no plate in 2011 car was parked ( in reality it sat for 10 months in 2010 all of 2011, and 8 months of 2012. So out of the 26 years since the car was built the car has sat for atleast 17 years No wonder it still has the original tires.

As others have, I can verify that this does indeed work! This shows more information that the CarFax I had run a few years back.,
Here is a report I pulled a few minutes ago, after seeing this thread
(I am happily surprised that the car scored a total of 33 out of 37 points!)
The 06/17/09 date shows where I purchased the car with 67,720 miles. In the previous 5 years they only put 300 miles on it. That must have been when they parked it after the engine blew. I have since only put around 5 miles on the car. So basically 305 miles in 10 years LOL!

So if someone can work this and has a second could you please run these cars?? I tewpid and can't figure it out...sigh.
Hi pal : try this http://charlieobaugh.com/Au...in=1G2PF379XGP201154 and then to change to the second car just replace vin at end of link to the next vin. Let me know if it does'nt work for you and I will be happy to run it for you.
Wanted to say this worked great for me as well. Found out the convertible was in Myrtle Beach it's entire life until the previous owner (who only had it a couple months in Wash DC)....and it was in an accident in 2008 with little to no damage on the right side. Interesting, panels are all original and I have found no evidence of it.
I must not be doing something right like some others. I can't get it to work either. Could someone assist me with VINs 138678K140477 40867S115093 Thanks, Steve

I think the problem is that is not the full VIN code. Double check, as there should be 17 digits long, beginning with "1G" for the Fiero.
Sorry, these VINs aren't for Fieros and before 17 digits. Both are previously owned cars. 1964 Corvette Roadster 327/365hp and 1968 Chevelle SS 396 convertible Was curious if they still existed.

Thank you sir! I'd give you a + but they only allow one. I used to live in Arlington, TX and knew the guy lived there but never saw it after I sold it. I was going to check with DMV to find these cars. I double checked to make sure I had the right VIN for the Vette and it is. Wonder if it got totaled or in someone's garage "gunna get restored". Thanks again.
In case anyone else bookmarked this, it looks like AutoCheck fixed it so it will only lookup VIN's that are actually in the dealer inventory. I had a feeling this wouldn't last long once it went viral. Damn.
I tried yesterday spent over an hour , tried every link I came to in google none worked! some went as far as shutting down my browser. was looking for a van for the other half, cheap and reliable to drive to work ( no work , no money , no credit , Life is good ) side note Saturday is another local car show I will miss ( only 3 wheels )
All I get are variations of the following message:
"The VIN must match a vehicle currently offered for sale at the Dealership selected."
I picked up an '88 Formula from Washington State this past weekend. The dealer sticker on the back indicates that this Fiero was originally from Knoxville Tennessee.
Unfortunately there's no instrument pod (therefore no odometer), and no mileage listed on the paperwork.
I'd love to be able to find out some info on this car. Is there anyone who's had luck with the process mentioned above who can run the VIN for me?

Tomorrow I'll be putting a replacement instrument cluster in this Formula. It would be nice to be able to set the odometer as close to the correct mileage as possible, so if anyone could run the VIN and let me know the results, that would be most appreciated.
