Trans port uprights with 2000 Grand Prix hubs and sensors.

I will also be removing an older Gm brake swap to add the 13" C4 rotors and LS Camaro calipers.

I got the calipers from Brake Overstock for $145 pr powder coated..

What's your plan for the cluster? I've got one of those complete with the HUD projector. Turns out that now I'm using an OBDII computer, so it may just work as is. Who knows?

Oh, and I'm dying for a throttle cable. How's it set up in your car? What cable did you use, anything specific?

Cluster was complete I tore it apart. I believe you would need the vette BCM, My plan is to use the firebird motors and needles in this housing with custom faces,
The cable itself is stock I will send you pic of how mine is done,

cut out the Firebird backing to fit the C5 housing, must use the Firebird motors and the mounts are a little bit smaller on the c5.
Plus the c5 mounts are solid black and I will be back lighting the gauges instead of using the side mounted UV tubes the C5 uses

With the backing cut they fit the C5 housing perfectly... Still have to cut and mount the speedo and tach

The front trim of the housing holds the gauge motors tight and in correct position..

Got the first temp faces printed,, still need adjustments and have to finish the needles. I have already made some lettering smaller but theses faces were printed to see what issues such as font size etc.
I still have to finish the motors for the speedo , tach and Volt guage but see where some adjustments have to be made for speedo and tach..
I have back lighting paper for the final gauges and have to get some UV spray to print the final faces. I am going to work on the back lighting in the next week or so,( I work late so usually just play with the gauges around 3am when I get home from work.)

as far as suspension work I am waiting on all new tie rod ends and still have to finish installing the new ball joints on the front, all suspension will be new...

C5 Gauges pretty much done, not really happy with the top 2 small gauges ( need to resize them a bit) but will do for now... time to start on led back lighting and mounting the odometer.. Think I might cut down the needles and make them thinner and maybe red??

97-04 C5 corvette dash and console. I have all the vents and door panels in boxes. once finished with suspension and brakes I will start installing interior...

Got my steering column in Friday, My cluster is finished minus adding the digital odometer, but going to hold off on interior until the car is back up and drivable. The column is from a 2001 Eclipse (same as chrysler sebring column)

Very nice work indeed! I know this, and other cool threads, will give the rest of us inspiration! The cooler days are coming quickly and projects must go on.

The IPC looks so cozy on that big bed. LOL.

Thank you.
I was going to start on c5 dash swap today but decided to wait and finish up the suspension and wiring in the ebtcm.. I am at a stand still right now, I had everything together but the pass side top of tire stuck way out at top so I thought it was just needing adjusted in, I went to adjust it and found out I was sent the wrong upright, it must be off a newer model because it looks almost exact but the strut mount is at a different angle. so I am waiting for new one to arrive,,, hopefully Monday.
I have a 4day weekend coming up , hope to get everything finished up and spend those days fitting the dash so that I can have it sent to upholstery shop to have the dash pad recovered,,,

everything is wired up and only code is T063 which is valve relay.. it does fine for about the first 2 min the trac. disabled pops up.. I am going to work on the relay wiring more tomorrow...
Another thing I noticed was key on. or running "sol a" should show ground and "sol b" should show 12v . or vise versa
I have 12v on b. and 8v on "a" I swapped. pcm with same result.. wiuld a bad solenoind cause this?

How does the C5 dash compare to the stock Fiero dash width and depth-wise? How does the C5 dash fit the curve of the windshield? Very interested in this swap, I'll be tuned in.....

the c5 dash is quiet a bit deeper than the fiero dash so you have to trim about 4" off the back, width is the same. I will post a lot of pics as I swap it. I did not do a lot of pics on other things because not much I can show about swapping a ball joint etc.. you can see a c5 dash in a fiero if you go to the construction forum and find WarHammers build, he already has the C5 dash in his.

I had done some trimming on the c5 dash long time ago, but needed to take off at least 1 more inch, I started trimming again today. I am going to pull the factory dash out tomorrow and start working on interior.

I left a bit on the dash so I can cut it further back if need to because I need to make sure I can get the new column to set where it needs to set before I make the dash to short..

That's a funny looking 85gt . Love what your doing so far. Any pictures on our throttle cable? Did you end up cutting a new hole in the firewall for it? I don't like how mine is run, needs to be another 3" longer I think. Looking at lokar replacements...

Cheers,
Chase.
