Draws too much attention in traffic. While I realize this is sort of a good thing, far to many accidents have occurred very close to me.
Ha, ha. So true.
Some guy in a giant pickup was in the lane next to the right of my Indy. I was in an advance left turn lane, and when I moved up he drove onto the car in front on him.

There are a few things that are annoying or just a pain...which many have been listed above....and can be corrected as we see here every day by our members. But the one thing I would change and have not worked on a mod to do it YET, is the E-BRAKE placement. I grew up using my e-brake and I don't mean for parking ...and at least for me...that is impossible to do with the Fiero e-brake's placement.
Some of the body styles of vettes have the park brake in the same spot.

^ Why good Fiero drivers are also experts in accident avoidance ^ ... Great for your car... Not so great when you pull a 360 in between lanes to avoid getting hit simultaneously by two jackasses that cut you off from opposing directions, saving the life of the girl you're out on a first date with.... Yep never saw that chick again.
Lack of power, intake design from hell, staggered injectors that should be on fuel rails. Vac lines buried under intake.
Exhaust system that wraps itself entirely around the engine, and COOKS all key engine componates there of. (I/E: intake, coil, ignition wires, heads, alternator, transmission etc.)
Rad fan doesnt turn on until 220 degress. ( relates to above.)
That damn chevette front suspension. (Seriosly?)
Rear Bump steer.
That annoyingly TIGHT "glove-box " (?) that resides in the computer cover/ armrest.
Otherwise, the car was a potential corvette killer waiting to happen. ( Sigh, I miss you PMD..........)
Pathetic suspension and brakes for a so-called sports car.....
But a lot of fun nonetheless...!!!
I seriously considered the new 2014 Porsche Cayman recently. I mulled it over many times in my head, and then came to the conclusion that my old shitbox Fiero is fun just the way it is...if I can ever get proper engine and transmission mounts, that is
List of things that annoy me most about stock Fieros:
Too heavy Drop throttle oversteer not easy Battery tray Alternator squealing, no tensioner and hard to get to it to tighten. Clunky slow shifting, not a big fan of the clutch setup. No overdrive in my 84' auto Luggage racks Wavy distorted look to almost every GT rear fascia I've seen. Where it bolts/screws in under the rear clip. Blue dingy thingy Headlight doors flip up if you go too fast Flimsy door handles and door lock. They last but feel.. weak. I like that solid feel to my cars when I open/close them. 4 x 10" speakers suck. Would have rather seen a round speaker in the dash/doors/pillars. I will say I like the seat speakers and the sub though, not too bad for the 80's. Brakes on 84-87 suck.. I think they're terrible. Bad blind spots, especially on fastbacks with spoilers. You can lose a semi from all that clutter. Very restricted air intakes on the V6's.. very poorly designed.
The only thing that pisses me off are other people, & their ignorant comments. I never got crap for dumping money into my Chevy Trailblazer... & that thing was a pile! But the Fiero? Oh, that's just idiotic.
Die in a fire.
Damn it. No, I don't mean that the care will catch on fire... arg, just go away...
FIREBOSS, one of the best things about Alabama, it's always Fiero season. Although, we've had more snow and ice this year than I can ever remember though! HAHAHA!
