It shows that there were 4458 blue Fieros built. Does anyone know how many blue GTs were produced during the 1987 model year? Do we know how many have T-Tops?

Not directly, but we do know that 34% of Fieros in 1987 were GTs. So you could assume that blue was spread evenly over all the cars built. That means 34% of 4458, which would be................................1515.

There were no factory T tops in 1987, only dealer conversions, so that one is hard to answer.

A customer of mine purchase a Blue GT automatic from me back in 87. Her Fiero had the gray suede insert seats. Not sure how many had this seating package but it looked very nice. We had about 5 blue GT's that year as I recall.

As an owner of one, I've always told people there were 3500 built. I looked up the numbers. And I guess mine is extremely rare with no sunroof.

The original factory emblem was not a stick on. It had a speed nut holding it on from underneath. Maybe the stick on is all that is available now.........

I was right on this. Maybe the stick on emblem could be mounted in the original base..........

This is an original NOS GM new Fiero GT front nose emblem for 84-88 Fieros

GM changed the mounting to adhesive on the new ones instead of studs we assume for ease of installation

So we know that 4458 Fieros in 87 were blue but we don't know of the breakdown in models. Charles, thanks for confirming the style of the badge for me. What I am wondering now is if the stick ons were meant to go on the car directly or if they are supposed to go on the emblem plate from old emblems.

Donster used one on either side of his wife's car. Stuck it on the notchback quarter window where the Pontiac chevron used to be. I also saw one that had been placed on the console where the power mirror control switch would have been. My brother had one of them and used it to replace the missing insert in his nose badge. Be sure to clean the badge base very very very very good. His has started to lift a little. I don't know if it's due to exposure but I'd think that the better the base is cleaned the better the adhesion would be.
