I did a search but it was inconclusive...I have been trying to find the color for the lighter shade of beechwood---I bought the fierostore paint and it is the darker (or so it seems)---I followed a thread--the SEM camel paint chip was pretty dark (checked at the store)if anyone verified the lighter color who makes and what color?

As far as I know there is only one shade of beechwood. There is a brown that was used in other years, but 88 was a unique shade called Beechwood. Also be advised that the factory colors change over the decades. Beechwood tends to develop a weird orange tint and is unlikely to match fresh paint.

The '88GTs have a two-tone dash on them that is dark and medium beechwood. I've been trying to locate a place to get some of the dark to paint my shift surround. TFS's beechwood is too light (it's medium, I believe). I found this place: http://www.paintscratch.com...ll-Other-Models.html . They offer a dark and three different shades of light beechwood, but they're all metallic for exterior. I need to call them to see if they can do a non-metallic for the interior.

I got a reply from PaintScratch. All of their paint samples are for exterior colors only.

If you are performing touchups, get some testor's model paint and make your own by mixing.

I get mine custom mixed and put into spray cans at the local Auto Paint store. They can look up the interior color codes and mix the correct color. I got the lighter color for the Beachwood interior to paint a new set of T-Top caps to match.

thanks for the help---I am changing my interior color TO beechwood--my confusion was with the lighter of the 2 colors--in some photos the beechwood looks light like tan, in others it is orange/rust looking--the can I bought from TFS looks to be the darker for the dash top--following some other threads I think I might try Krylon "Brown Boots"---I need a test spray first other wise it may be SEM "Camel"
