I am in contact with a person from ridetech to possibly put an adjustable air suspension on my car. However we are in search of the OEM specs and messurments of the Shocks and Spring for all 4 corners. We hope to take this and find stuff that they currently have that can be used, without much major fab work. If we figure this out there will be a thread with exact details to come. But need to start with what parts to use.

Here is what we are looking for all stock for an 88 GT

Front Compressed Length
Front Dropped Length

Rear Compressed Length
Rear Drop Length

Front Spring Compression Rates
Front Spring Measurements (diameter, length and size of mounting area)

Rear Spring Compression Rates
Rear Spring Measurements (diameter, length and size of mounting area)

Mounting type and size for top of front shock
Mounting type and size for bottom of front shock

Mounting type and size for top of rear strut assembly
Mounting type and size for bottom of rear strut assembly.

If you have any of this info please pass it on. Even if you don't have all of it, if everyone pitches in a little, maybe we can get something figured out?
Also if you know if any of these parts are cross applications for any 60-70's vehicles that would help also.

Thanks in advance

some of what you need may be in this thread. You will have to look over a lot of pages, but there are a lot of drawings of suspension here: https://www.fiero.nl/forum/F...3/HTML/000116-9.html

When I was doing my research on this subject, I noticed that the Cavilier/Sunfire struts looked very close to ours. I bet that cutting off the lower bracket, making some metal plates w/ the correct angle and then welding them on the struts would work. I have also seen a few HIGH END struts w/ removable mounting brackets, so that the same strut can be used on different cars w/ a unique bracket for each car. My big issue was the front shock did not lend itself to something off the shelf. Maybe some type of Mustang II stuff would work.

Good luck, i'll be watching.

Maybe a different lower control arm is needed.
