I am downsizing some parts I have dupes of and was wondering if anyone has had a dash shipped to or shipped out a dash ,more to the point how much was shipping and how did u protect the corners from damage? (shipped lower 48).

I have a price I want for it but if shipping is to much for me to sale than I rather not bother....

any input guys would be appreciated...thanxs.

EDIT TO ADD----Just the large dash..not the pods

I shipped one on greyhound once.. I wrapped it heavily in the bigger bubble wrap about 6 layers and taped that extremely well all around with 3m packaging tape. Then I found two boxes double layered cardboard, and put those on the ends, taped them in place then took a big piece of cardboard and finished off the long center piece to match the corner boxes.. and taped that all heavily.. was about 20 bucks worth of tape/bubblewrap and an hour of effort. The shipping cost was around 35 bucks Greyhound. Buyer paid all shipping/packaging costs and demanded I use Greyhound instead of UPS. Got there without issues or damage. If i did it again I'd probably look into UPS instead, was a hassle having to drop it off at Greyhound and it took a while to be delivered.

Ed Parks from the Fiero Factory shipped one to me once. I think I paid $125 shipped. He used lots of peanuts and they were everywhere inside the dash.

I have received a dash shipped by FedEx when I bought an Amida F355 interior. It was well packed and I had absolutely no problems. I also checked on shipping a Beechwood last year and the carrier wanted about $125 for shipping even when I supplied all packing and the box. My Greyhound experience is limited to receiving a Mera front bumper a couple of years ago. It was wrapped in bubble wrap and tape prior to shipment. IIRC the cost was around $90 to ship the bumper and it was significantly smaller than a dash. Foe what they are worth, those are my experiences shipping a dash and using Greyhound.
