I saw this 1988 GT in the Sacramento Pick N Pull today. I'm sure I was the first one there but it was already in the state you see in the pics. Engine was gone. Front and rear bumper covers removed. Tail lights, headliner and seats gone. This was a subwoofer car but the dome light was missing. The woofer enclosure was still in it but I already have a couple laying around. The sub amp was still in it but with almost 230K miles on the odometer I doubt the amp still works. All hubs and rotors missing except for the front right which still had the lug nut lock on it. The rear quarter windows were original but not worth salvaging.

I managed to grab all the dot matrix dash pieces, Gen 2 headlight motors and control module, five tail light screws (which were in the trunk), and the 3rd brake light.

Wow someone sure went to town on that one, considering the date marked on it is 11/9. Even their website lists it as placed in yard on 11/10 (I watch their website all the time - yeah I'm a stalker). I wonder if someone parted it out before sending it to the junkyard?

There's an even-more picked over '88 GT in Fresno but its been there a long time. Several years probably.

I have posted several 88 fieros over the years for next to nothing for sale and never a bite.
All the California cars get scrapped in great rustless condition.. Makes me sad everytime I scapped them out.

you didn't snatch the beechwood radio surround w/ aux gauges? also any of the beechwood "A"'' and "B" trim. The lower door trim would be easy too with the seats missing. I"d have stripped off everything beechwood I could. You can always find a buyer here for the Misc BW parts. Hell, i'm looking for a good set of BW "A" trim myself.

I wasn't aware of the scarcity of the beachwood color. Is that specific to the 88? My 88 GT is all grey inside. I don't usually pick up the larger trim pieces since they are bulky to ship. The radio surround was nice. Just needed a bit of curl gluing. I checked the aux gauge surround but it had a couple of broken plastic mounting posts. I didn't want the gauges from a car with 229K miles on it. The pillar trim was OK if I recall, but the lower door trim was busted up.

If someone really needs this stuff I might make a return trip. No promises, but it's over an hour round trip so it has to be worth my time and Pick N Pull prices can be a bit on the high side.

Yep, the 88 tan 'Beechwood' interior was specific to that year.

Any sign of the 15" wheels? Could use that passenger power mirror, too.
