People have been creating ugly, dangerous trike things from VW Beetles for a long time. When the Beetle stock started to deplete they switched to Fieros and continued the strange tradition.

I still don't get it.

There was a guy who used to come to the shows in a Fiero trike that looked like something out of a circus. I believe that I saw it at Daytona and Carlisle in the late 90's ; the only times that I saw one of these. This version was IMO poorly constructed but it was a conversation piece. After a couple of years it disappeared. I have no idea what became of this contraption.

I like it. Wouldn't own it, but it is much more refined than 98.234% of the trikes out there. That is a cheap price for an attention getter.

Hint: I often look at the surroundings in the adds. It can often tell of care and maintenance put into something. A prewash and detail before a photo shoot is good for getting folks to walk in the door so to speak.

Looks like a Fiero dash pod and column.

If you notice the license plate on that contraption in the first post, it is the one that they give to the cripples.
