I have two sets (one and a half, now) of these. I had to buy a second set because the first passenger side window departed the car somewhere on Highway 101 on the way back from the Coast Run. The green tint is darker, and the GT logo is behind the tint, which are the only nitpicks. They do look very good on the car.

I’m having a hell of a time getting the passenger side to stick. I followed the instructions carefully, both times. I used the tape provided with the windows. I even added 3M Adhesion Promoter to the surfaces. I did have to do a fair amount of sanding to the edge of the first passenger side window to get it to fit with the drip rail in place. I probably should have done a small amount of sanding to one spot on the second window for a better fit. I am wondering if there is an issue with the passenger side windows, or maybe something on my car isn’t straight. I will do the sanding before I reattempt placing the window again. I also wonder if there is something about the passenger side window that is making the tape not stick right, such as the paint or maybe a mold release chemical?

Anyway, despite the problems, the windows do look very good.

Thanks for posting fierobear.

Somebody was talking about the GT window glass thickness...is it the same as the originals?

Looks good...

A friend who purchased the Fiero Store premium quarter windows reported that both the contour and fit are identical to the OEM windows. As for the thickness it looks the same. Chris Cooks repro windows are decent but I have installed a set where the dimensions are far off and another where they fit pretty good. Can't give him an A for quality control.

I don't mean to be critical or discouraging towards the Fiero Store, but I'm having a lot of problems with my premium passenger side quarter window. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I lost the last one on the highway. This one popped loose on the lower right front edge. There could be an issue with my car, but I'm not seeing how I can possibly get the lower front edges to stay in place. There's a LOT of resistance due to the curve of the window versus the contour of the car and the mounting surfaces.

Here's a picture. The tape is still tacky enough to hold most of the window in place, temporarily, while I work the problem. Note the gap at the bottom. The top front edge seems to have a gap as well.

fierobear - thanks for posting the pictures, but is it possible to have you take one of the GT logo?

It looks fairly green in all the pictures I have seen and not sure I am ok with it.

Sucks about the problems you are having, I know that there is some weirdness with our 88 GT on the right side as well with the curvature of the body panels and things not lining up like the left side. We have this gap between the lower 1/4 panel and metal work near the door striker - as such the panel sticks out a bit further than the door (so it catches rock chips). Had it all apart and can't really seem any reason. Maybe you have something similar?

Mickey, can you take a picture of this issue as well and post it here? If not, if interested...send a photo to my e-mail at fierogt28@hotmail.com and I'll respond to your findings. Thanks,

I assume you are talking about the issues on my car (gap on the lower quarter)? I can get some pictures, but not sure when as the car is still packed up for the winter and it is not easy to get at the passenger side until I move stuff around and can get it out of the garage. I may have some old pictures laying around that I could look for as well (I think I have some pictures of this already).

I am glad to know it was not just me. I installed a set and they were WAY to short, and there was a huge gap around the window. I contacted Chris and he said that they were all the same, and that I installed them wrong. I offered to purchase another pair if he would give me a discount and he terminated conversation. I did not ask for a free pair, as I do understand things happen. He was horrible to deal with unfortunately.

When I did eventually get another set, Which MAACO paid full price for, I laid on on top of the other and compared the two, and they were WAY off in dimensions as you can see here.

Opps, kind have forgot about this - but here are the pictures of "the gap". Note, I never did put the rivet back in on the trim when I had taken it all apart to trying a figure out what the hell is going on with it. BTW, we have owned this car since 91 and has been this way since day 1 (never in an accident).

Here you can see how it sticks out past the door:

A refresher. Having installed a few pairs of Chris Cooks quarter windows, I would never use them again. Sometimes they fit while other times they don't. I have one pair on a car in the garage where the fit is horrible (gap is massive) while on another car outside the fit is good. Its not the way they are installed. I've correctly installed OEM quarter windows and the Fiero store windows for a friend and the fit and contour on the Fiero Store's is perfect. The Fiero Store stands behind their products. Cook does not. I'll try to post photos tomorrow but as far as I am concerned Cooks windows employ very poor quality control. He just doesn't want to take a hit on the rejects so he ships them out and when they don't fit he blames you. You may get a good pair or you may not. This is unethical. I recommend not buying this product. The Fiero Stores quarter windows are all that I will now use. If you install them it is imperative that they be installed on a clean adhesive residue free surface. We use 3M adhesive remover.

Here are pictures of Cooks windows installed on an old install. The edges don't even come close to fitting. Look at the top and the bottom edges. You judge. If you disagree just send him your money .
