If you want a luggage rack, I'm glad you're looking for another decklid with one already attached... the reason being that decklids with no luggage racks or wings are relatively rare, and it's good to keep them unmolested for anyone who might want a decklid with no holes in it (from a rack or wing).
Yeah I checked with people on what it'd take to install one and I'm not into drilling into a good rackless wingless decklid. I've grown to like the smooth look without the wing on a notchback, like on my bright red 88.
The burgundy one I'd like a rack, really increases storage space.

Nathan, I texted two pictures of the deck lid. I can't bring the decklid to the meeting next week because I have a bad rear hub bearing in my truck.
Looks nice I want it, my truck is ready except still waiting on title issues with the insurance company. They haven’t gotten the salvage title out to me yet, after that I can get the inspection and rebuilt title and it’ll be tagged and back on the road. Might be another week or 3.
Since it’s looking like they can fix my other 88 at the body shop, I went ahead and ordered parts for fixing the timing gear on this 1. So hopefully I can get the duke coupe back on the road soon.

Got an update today, insurance wants to total it since they can’t find a new rear knuckle. I think it’s good news?, they want to pay $10500. To keep the car they take off the salvage value which is $500. So they pay me $10k and I keep the car and need to get a rebuilt title. Bodyshop says $5700 to fix it. So hopefully it’ll be that, I get the car back fixed +$4300.
What about getting a rear knuckle? Pull it off the other car or where can I get a used 1 for an 88?

I'm hoping your body shop can handle getting it to the inspector. I understand that it must be towed there. It cannot be driven.

My main concern is that they document everything in the repairs, it’s very strict getting the rebuilt inspection, country the way it is these days they’re very hard up about parts and chop shops. Need receipts, VIN with used parts. Been going through this with my truck and yeah I’m not driving the truck to its inspection . Hopefully they respect that too. Going to make sure they do things right. With the truck I almost lost my pre-repair photos and that would’ve doomed it to never getting tagged again.

If you get 10k I would just buy another nice 88 fiero and move your swap over. It may be more work, but the future value of the car will be much better.
You could use the best parts from your car and part out the rest to help cover any additional costs.
With the damage to the space frame, I would never trust it to be right or the mangled door frame to be smooth without a 1/4" of bondo.

At the moment, all I have pics of is the chassis with a Fejer 308 kit "sitting" on it. The car is at my "shop" which I don't get to go to anymore. It's under a tarp, and the pics I have were taken to show the whole car, as is, WITH the body kit on it, so I don't really have any of the bare space frame...BUT the pics are less than two months old and when I went out to take them, I checked the frame over for rust, corrosion etc., as hard as it might be to believe, it is still pretty "rust free". Anything on it is surface rust or can be easily removed with pressure washing and/or steam cleaning.
It has no back glass in it, as the pass. tub was being prepped for a wrap around rear glass. I believe I still have the stock glass, but I'll have to look to confirm, but nothing has been added or removed in regards to that aspect of the project, only the glass removed in as non invasive way as possible. No damage to the frame and new sealer and glass would put it back to "stock" condition.
Let me see if I can dig up the pics I did take, there are a couple with the door skins off, showing the metal framework of at least the doors. The entire rest of the body kit is basically just "sitting" there, other than maybe a couple bolts to keep it in place.
There's a few to ponder....let me know if you want more, I have a few more, but don't want to "muddy-up" this thread. We can go to email if you'd rather.
HAGO!
*Edit to remove pics, since they are repeated below. No point in cluttering up the thread further!

Update, the suspension and frame are repaired, it’s getting paint this week. Got the rest of the payout a couple weeks ago. Hopefully the salvage inspection and all goes smoothly.
Hope it comes out alright, the line with the door looks kinda odd. I thought the back side of the door panel has more angle.

Yeah this has all turned out better than I expected and what most people on the forum were saying initially. The Fiero seems to be a lot more respectable than it was 10-15 years ago, it’s gaining a lot more classic car status. At times I’ve actually been grateful this happened to it and not my daily driver. I don’t like to see a Fiero damaged but my daily would’ve been totaled and insurance would’ve cut me a check for only like 4k, not nearly enough to fix it and I’d probably would’ve had to get some cheap nasty used car to replace it. And that car, is the only 1 I’ve ever owned since brand new, and it’d be difficult finding a modern used car with a manual trans to replace it.
Hoping now I get the car back fast enough to get it submitted for a casting call for Stranger Things. They have a call out for 1988 and older vehicles. Figure I can swap the stock brakes and wheels back on and it could look good enough to pass for a new car in ‘88 for the show.
Well here we go, its been months but finally got the car back and its been repaired pretty well. They did a couple things like mess up my turn signal stalk and break my antenna but I'm pleased with the frame repair and the paint. Pics:
Excuse the pictures being tight and it in the carport, a thunderstorm is rolling in and can't go drive somewhere else, and I'm eager to post pics. It drives well, doesn't feel any different from before, doesn't pull to 1 side or anything weird. The door actually closes better than before
Oh and excuse the dark line across my bumper in the first pic, I must've used the draw tool there by accident while blacking out the plate, I was using my phone to do it. It doesn't have that on the car .
And I may need those trim pieces by the door. Or I'm probably just going to pull them from my other coupe, along with stealing its antenna for this car.
When you have an opportunity, could we have a peek at this area.

In Short: B pillar is F'd & most I-co's Will Often "Total" the car. Isn't like some fool hit me recently & damage plastic panels then I-co paid very little. In general, I-co looks @ "Book value" (Example: NADA Guides) @ damage > X% of that = Total. In NADA books, most cars > 25 years value Max is ~ $2000-4000.
Longer terms B pillar & likely "Rocker Panel" steel is pushed in. RP is structural & can affect other "frame" sections attach to it. Need to look under the car to see how bad. B pillar pushed is likely bent part of the roof too.
That's before adding need a new Door & other Plastic parts & Paint work.

They did a nice job. I'm happy that it worked out.
Thanks.
This proves Fieros are moving up into classic car status. 10-15 years ago this place might not have touched this car. Between the $10k payout from insurance and them fixing it it looks like the Fiero is moving on up . Glad to see it.
If anyone needs work done, like serious work that would otherwise send it to pull a part, Chamblee Dunwoody Collision Center doesn't balk at older cars.
