I have been talking with Chris and Andy and they are both planing on attending. After my accident in April I canceled my hotel reservation and was not sure I would be there but I am determined to now! Reservations made!

I was not going to be able to make it this year, UNTIL I found out this is the last show It is so bittersweet. On one hand it is sad to see it come to an end. On the other so many memories have been made, and so much money raised to help so very many organizations and charaties.

Lets all do our best to show up, show our appreciation to the Shipman family for hosting all of us each year, and raise some more money! Lets do as Daneele sa ys, and " Make this the biggest year ever"!

Hanging out around the campfire Friday night before the show

Most of the original build team.

Piled on the hay wagon before going out for a hay ride for a group shot

It took 4 of us and a few minutes to get Matt out of this! LOL!

Saturday evening buffet at Capm Shipman

Partying to a live band!

I am too because this was a huge undertaking at the time. If 120 Fiero's can be registered for the upcoming Carlisle show, I would have hoped they could have been at this show too. Everyone on the East Coast should be attending.

I have been fortunate enough to attend most of the big shows at least once. Several without a Fiero. This will be my fourth trip to Frazee after a 5 year absence as I no longer have Fiero nor wife. The ONLY regret I have of leaving the Fiero community as I no longer have a garage, is being with the wonderful friends I have met along the way. When I was traveling I connected with fellow enthusiasts in WA, OR, ID, NV, UT, CA, AZ, NM, CO, TX, NE, TX, OK, AR, LA, FL, GA, PA, WV, VA, AL, NC, SC, TN, KY, IL, MN, MI, WI, SD, ND, IA and even Hawaii. I never made it to Fiero-rama, nor the Dells show but Frazee is special, a MUST do and yet there are those that have made excuses in the past and now will never go. No everyone has the time nor resources to attend but those that do will have a great time.

Unfortunately, for many, the 6 weeks notice of it being the last time has made it tough. Midwest Fiero Clubs had already made a commitment to the M1 Concourse for Woodward in August and people's vacation and resources are allocated to that. If MWFC had known this further out, different decisions would have been made. Absolutely no fault to the family, just sadness that there are limitations.

I, personally wish I had more advance notice because we had this on our list of shows to attend in coming years but I have a work trip that overlaps and I can't get out of it.

I am sad to hear that the timing was bad, for those that wanted to go.

This show is SO unique when it comes to car shows. 99% Of car shows everyone hangs out around the hotel, and then the parking lot at night.

The Tyler Shipman show is on a Saturday. People usually arrive starting Wednesday evening. The Shipman's generously open their house, and their property for the weekend. Everyone brings their campers, tents, motor homes ect and hang out at the Shipmans house in the country. Some stay in local mom & pop motrels. We have buffets in the garage, hang out and party at night around the campfire (bonfire at times ). There are day trips planned to go to local swimming holes, usually a hay ride in the evening pulled by Jay's tractor. We even have been known to paint a Fiero in the afternoon (See above post) It was, and will be an AMAZING experience this one last time.

If you can make it, you you really should do everything in your power to do so, as this is the last chance.

So glad those of you who can make it are able! A reunion!

We are planning on having a Fiero Caravan (and other various cars) to Camp Shipman on Thursday July 25th! Leaving at 9am!

From:
Marathon gas station at 610 Proctor Ave NW, Elk River, MN.

For many years this was the MN caravan point so it is fitting to use it once again. Anyone who can make it is invited!

(Remember there will be morning traffic as it is on the edge of the Twin Cities.)

Pic from a few years back when it was a Shell station:

HEY Jason! Back at cha'

I am SOOOoooo Lookimng forward to seeing everyone again! Unfortunately many people for the last time. Sure there are lots of us that will meet again at the larger Fiero shows, but not the case for so many extended friends along the way. Thius includes so many of the locals! (Chief of Police Mike, I'm looking at you!)

EDIT: I Hope I get there on schedule! I'm flying on Delta, and there's still in a mess from the internet break down. It has affected their scheduling computer and just yesterday they canceled 500 flights and they say they won't be back to normal for over a week. Fingers crossed!

I am getting into the Cities at midnight (Mon Night / Tue Morning) and staying across from the airport. If anyone wants to hang out on Tuesday, grab lunch, or whatever.... hit me up! 56l 2 three 6 7O2 four Otherwise I will just head over to Mall of America and waste the day. A group of us will be gjrabbing dinner Wednesday night in the Cities if anyone cares to join us.

I am then staying overnight Tuesday. Wedensday I am riding with Scotrt and joining the caravan to Frazee.

Hey Carter!!!!! Keep on Smiling!!!!!

Not many baby blue Fieros out there. Looks real good.

Astronomy says we will find a coded signal from outer space. Then we'll KNOW that life exists there, for coded signals aren't by chance.

Biology says there are coded genetic signals in every cell, but we KNOW that no intelligence created life.

Wow! That looks AMAZING! I Would love to see more photos of it. I have spent many hours in that Fiero, as well as giving her a new "paint job"

So, Stu actually gave me this car after breaking off a water pump stud. He had enough and wanted out. It took me a few hours to get the stud out and replace the pump. I got the car running and she nor we, had the money to get her a car when she graduated. So, I gave her this car. There are alot of photos of her doing work to it. it sat for a long time and some chickens decided to make it their home! she stripped the interior, cleaned some, replaced alot, did a lot to the engine as well. its been a daily driver for her for the last 4 or 5 years. i didnt want to hijack this thread but, I figured I would let people know that the car still lives! If you want, pm me your phone number and I can send you pics.
