had to go put hands on this car again unfortunately but fun things were wrong and the list of people to never buy a fiero from on this coast grows ever bigger.
passenger side subframe and strut were bent over seeming about an 1/8 inch causing a positive camber at ride height no matter what adjustments were made. I did fix the problem but I'm not proud of the solution. just removing that alignment stop (thin peice of steel that hits the bolt head on the knuckle side) and making the whole strut flanges just flat with the rear positive camber stop to allow the slot full adjustment

fixed crap (set for extreme negative camber for demonstration, on camera it looks normal but is aeound 5 degrees and yes the toe on the drivers is wrong. please yell at Firestone and a race car place for not being able to understand what 0 is or not informing me something is bent. I am fixing it myself this time so it cant be wrong)

spent today aligning the car in the driveway since the alignment place ****ed it.
front is still toed out over an inch thanks to them but I'm not touching it rn since the hexes are stripped and I have to rebuild the 88 rack later
rear is set to 1.2 degrees of camber and 0 degrees of toe because poly bushings. I think it's close enough for now to stop darting all over the place

finally got started removing this junk. trans has been apart before and they didn't succeed so known good getrag it is.
no I'm not asking for mechanical help. more of a document of the crap I go through with this car and why it annoys me so much.

bunch of pictures of me losing it while fixing this junk. took me 3 hours to install a getrag without dropping the subframe. still easier than trying to make the previous owners stripped bolts come out

I'm impressed! 3 hours to change out a gearbox, without dropping the cradle, that's incredible!
Have fun😉😁

yeah I'm usually posting on the forum after doing that kind of thing for work everyday. and people wonder why sometimes I leave things out or get them wrong lol.
today I dropped a entire 88 subframe for an elderly fiero club member in 2 hours and took the 3.4 out to make room for the new rebuild that's going in, nothing special just a normal 3.4 swap with a rv style grind cam and some better exhaust stuff

I sold it to a friend. I got sick of it not driving properly or breaking every single day. or doing what it's Doing now which is that everything is bad and has been but was somehow working.
eg: clutch slave and master have been bad but only became an issue when the correct getrag was installed. the cables I bought for a getrag that came out of a getrag car are actually somehow iszuzu cables despite me pulling them myself. the suspension is still acting up but the reason Is currently unknown since everything had been verified as working properly, the clutch pedal was bent but not in the normal way. it was bent below the u bend on the actual arm despite being a brand new fierostore part
the list really goes on but it's finally getting shorter
