barnfinds: Let’s be brutally honest: The seller’s price for this 1987 Pontiac Fiero SE is well above the market average, especially considering it features the less desirable automatic transmission. The seller / paid $11,111 in December .
Auto 1986 Fiero GT with 142K Miles was sold $720 in last month....
Edit - I bet that the seller saw the "stupid" dealer prices on low mile cars on eBay; brought the Fiero, and now is hoping for a $20K profit...
I wish the owner good luck selling this car but someone needs to tell him that its not a Ferrari or Maserati.

I doubt even an 88 GT with T-tops, leather seats and premium sound and <1000 miles would draw $30K.
One just sold recently with 30 miles no TTops for $44k.
This is just the auction effect. One car sells while two drunk bidders get emotionally involved. Then others see the price and don’t sell their car because they are fooled by artificial prices.
LOL I always wanted to be the guy that bids up the auction and then leaves the other guy hanging with a crazy high unrealistic bid. But I'm sure I'd get burned.
Yes it would... but you know and I know that this '88 Fiero GT probably does not have power steering. I suspect it's just something that was mentioned (with no confirmation) as probably 99% of cars listed for sale are so equipped.
1987 Pontiac Fiero SE MFI - $20,000 (Daytona Beach)
What exactly does he mean by "1 of only 200 produced?"
I know the 87 SE is kinda rare... at least in terms of production numbers. They made something like ~4,500 SEs in 1987 if I'm not mistaken... with something like only ~1,200 of them being L4. But where is he getting the 1 of only 200 made from?
I've got an 88 base with 22k, an 85GT T-Top with 26k along with my 88 Formula 100k ish miles. So I can make $40-50k?..........LOL
The answer is obviously no . The guy selling the 87 at $30K now is "off his rocker".

Just a thought. "Low mileage" does not always represent a good car. The value may be in the body, paint and interior but mechanical components in storage for 38 years are always suspect.
