Who else out there has a 4 wheel drive vehicle? Let's see what you have and what's done to it. I have a 2007 Chevy Colorado. Has the z71 package and the 5 cylinder with an automatic transmission. I have installed 15 inch wheels with 31x10.5 kumho road venture at tires, 2" shackles in the rear and torsion crank in the front. I want to add an intake, exhaust and tune in the near future.
I have an '04 Blazer. 4 door, 4x4, black. It has a 2" lift (torsion bar crank, shackles). Other than that, it's bone stock (suspension wise). Here's a pic before the lift.
i've had numerous 4x4's in the past. All with huge lifts.....my current 4x4 (AWD) is not typical to me though lol. I stepped out and got a X5. I'll post a current pic then a future idea pic. I know its out of the box and not everybodies thing but thats kinda why I want to do it lol
My 2001 Silverado 1500 Z-71 with 6 inch Superlift suspension lift on 35 inch BFG All Terrains. It has Flowmaster Super 44 dual exhuast as well as 4 Hella Supertone horns. It has a bull bar with newly installed off-road lights. It's the FRV (Ford Recovery Vehicle)
Heres my beater.. 2000 wrangler 4 cylinder 5 speed.. 33in tires outlaw wheels light bar.. 3 in body lift (not there by choice) and other small odds and ends...
Modest 2003 Grand Cherokee (WJ). Running an Old Man Emu 3" heavy duty lift with an OEM Rubicon wheel/tire (32") combo. Everything flexes out fine; just can't go full lock on steering, I'd say only about 90% or so. Many more things to come though. I am going to trim the fenders and put on some all steal bumpers front and rear.
Sitting next to an unmodded one. The camera angle does kinda cheat it a little.
So here is a more front on, centered shot. From when I was working on replacing my radiator and color-matching the grill.
here is my 4X4.. it's a 1988 toyota 4runner 3.0 5 speed. mods include 35"BFG km2 rubber, solid axle swap, chromoly front shafts, 4.7:1 low range gears in transfer case, selectable lockers front and rear, 4.88 gears in the diffs .. she goes just about anywhere you point it and the best part is i can take it out and beat all day and drive it 60 miles home without any problems..gotta love toyota trucks!! Edit: one thing i forgot to mention.. My next project for this truck is to swap in a 3800sc and keep the toyota running gear

I have a base 76 with a mixture of other years to keep my farm truck running. It has had a few different boxes, and a different front end... Great winter beater and farm truck. I can fit a cord of wood in the box with slat sides added. I call mine Ferdinand the bull.
While not as attractive as the big boyz toyz, I do sincerely love my little F150. 114 thousand on a 97. 4.6. One of the cleanest trucks around for it's age.

I haul it around with a 97 Z-71 extended cab with 230K on the clock. Looked for pictures of it but couldnt find any..Will have to take on once it is cleaned up...
My 05 Z71 Silverado...stock as hell. Some day planning on AT LEAST cranking up the torsion bars and changing the rim/tire setup. It just turned over to 195,000 today and everything still works perfectly and runs like a champ. Weeeeeeeeee little bit of rust starting on the rockers that will be taken care of before winter but other than that pretty darned clean. Can't tell you how many deer have been hauled out of the woods by this thing.
Forgot to mention the wife's rig. 04 Grand Cherokee Special Edition with the "Sludge Monster" 4.7 liter V8. Don't think I have any pictures but I believe we've all seen a Grand Cherokee before and hers looks like the rest. It is a nice ride but I just don't get the overwhelming sense of reliability from it.

I always liked the early Avalanches (with the body cladding). They were too expensive for me.
I have always thought of them as a big notchie. Got him earlier this year $5,600 for the truck and parts. I replaced f/r bumper covers, passenger door, fender, cladding, front pass suspension, wheel stearing box, pitman/idler arm and axle). Then 2,300 for 4 brake rotors pads and calipers/tires/fuel pump/drycell battery/windsheild. I painted both front doors forward had some scratchs. So all together under 8 grand. I like working at a shop where i get a good discount on parts.
Sorry had to share more. Now back to working on the fiero.

2004 Sierra. Its a real truck that is used as a truck should be... no carpet, crank windows, horrible ride, full 8' bed. They called it a "Heavy Half" on the window sticker.

A "heavy half" ton is just a 1/2 ton with a 3/4 ton rear suspension. No wonder it rides rough. The Heavy Half used to be called the Camper Special years ago. It was meant for a slide in camper back in the day when slide in campers were the rage.

The E-rated tires probably don't help the ride either!
haha! I LOVE the purple ones! then it'd match my Fiero I've loved the X-90's since I was 11 years old. purple ones especially! lol bigger tires would be sweet too XD
Currently on my 3rd Ranger, 2010 pictured here. I am really disappointed they discontinued the Ranger line....perfect truck for me, and there is not much else in the class that I like, especially since the ranger is so reasonably priced. This is on an easy 4wd road to the base of Mt. Sherman.
Here's my old Tracker. Bought 2 broken trucks and made one good one. Beat the heck out of it for 2 years and it never complained. I was using it for side jobs towing a utility trailer with it and while it put up with it I needed something bigger / more powerful and safer to tow with. Had a 10,000 lbs winch on a custom steel bumper with recovery hooks, 3" suspension lift, 30" BFG A/T's with a removed rear bumper skin. Still miss it, for what it was it turned a lot of heads. Sold it for $1,400 - only a couple hundred shy of what I had into it.
Here's my current DD. '03 Frontier quad cab long box supercharged 4x4. Say that 5 times fast LOL! Love this truck, but it sure is a pig on fuel (needs premium too...). Currently using it to DD and for odd-jobs after my day job, moving this for people who don't have access to a truck and doing light handyman jobs. She's just turned 253K kms, I got it with just shy of 220 on it. It was a bit of a pain to get running right when I found that everything the previous owner had supposedly done was wrong, but I eventually got the bugs worked out and (knock on wood) it's been treating me pretty well.
I've added a scanguage (helps track my expenses for odd-jobs), boost gauge, re-done the stereo, installed my own sunroof, spray in bedliner (LOVE it!), back rack with aux lights, had a custom add-a-leaf made up for the rear end and put a Nismo cat-back exhaust on it. Any other work has been OEM maintenance or equivalent replacements.
